Avatar f tn This fatigue is hard to deal with! I was travelling overseas two and a half weeks ago, but I took a vacation for a full week afterward--a "stay-cation" with my kids, as relaxing as it gets for me. :) It's been way too long to be jet lag. I just can't wake up in the mornings, I'm super tired all day, I feel like I'm walking with weights on my legs. (Then, ironically, at 10 pm, my brain starts to wake up! But I'm still so tired I can get to sleep pretty quickly.
Avatar m tn For general information, people flying across only one or two time zones may be able to adjust without noticeable effects of the time change. Those flying across three or more time zones will likely develop noticeable symptoms of jet lag. If you have a heart disorder, consult your physician well in advance of your departure to plan a coping strategy that includes medication schedules and doctor's appointments, if necessary, in the destination time zone.
Avatar n tn Hi guys, I will be traveling across the globe next week and I would like to purchase some sleeping pills to take with me to cure my jet lag since it's very difficult for my body to get accustomed to the new time zone by itself, and I will be flying to different time zones almost everyday. I'm not very educated on sleeping pills and have a few questions for the experts: 1.) What is the most effective OTC sleeping pills you can recommend? 2.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the information. What kind of vitamins and supplements are best?
405614 tn?1329144114 t think it could still be jet lag. My meeting with my sister yesterday was a little stressful, but much better than I expected. I've been getting a few jolts in my trigeminal neuralgia area, but not too bad. My dizziness is really quite bad still, and my tremors/clutzyness are giving me difficulties. Oh, and the rib/chest pains are back, this time on the right side. Does this sound like a sort of exacerbation, or just normal fluctuations of MS (if that's what I have) symptoms?
Avatar f tn In india i had got infection and later i used medicines and got my period on may 27 and till now i didnt get again period. I had consult doctor she said no pregnant due to jet lag it would be delay in period.
Avatar f tn I do not sense any changes in my body, but it only been a week since the act. Also, i am currently experiencing jet lag as i returned from another country just the day after the incident. Is the delay of my period due to jet lag or from the actions? Overall, my big question is: is it likely/possible that i am pregnant?
973741 tn?1342342773 By resetting your body clock. Process is just like adjusting to jet lag. Set/keep just one consistent wake time every day, without any sleeping in or napping, for at least one month straight. Within a few weeks, you'll start feeling drowsy enough for proper sleep roughly 15-17 nonstop hours later.
1253197 tn?1331209110 Well all was going too well on my return from Sydney except for the fatigue from the jet lag and then all my sensory symptoms and a few new ones kicked in at the weekend. I went for my monthly trial check up today and saw two neuros who confirmed that I have had a relapse (last one was in July 2011). I was offered IV steroids but declined at present but can change my mind but I am not too bad and I do not want the side effects.
Avatar n tn For now just try to keep things calm for him. Warm baths, instrumental music for relaxation. Anything that makes him comfortable, just ask him.:O) 2 overseas trips in 6 weeks is alot! let him ease back into his own routine for next couple of days and see how he does. If things are not better call your family doctor, to get his opinion. Keep him of coffee as best you can. Also, having his comfy things he likes near may help. Keep anything that is stressful to him away for couple of days.
Avatar m tn There are other full spectrum lamps to combat jet lag, etc. usually these are safe, but some side effects are known. These are headaches, insomnia, eye strain. Discuss with your doctor if you are having rise in temperature with its usage. There must a minimum safe distance advised for appropriate therapy. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn My husband has just returned from his second overseas trip in 6 weeks, he does have a high pressured job and at first I thought his symptoms maybe just from jet lag or stress. But I have never seen him like this before. He is 35 and always been healthy but for the last week he has had hand tremors and a feeling of pins and needles in his head. He is sleep deprived but I am concerned by reading things on the net that these symptoms could also mean ms or parkinsons.
Avatar m tn I only flew for four hours as I was close by. So i hope your righ. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn No one here can tell you if you're pregnant or not. Take a test.
Avatar n tn Shortly after returning to the US from study abroad in South Korea I began to have strange bowel movements. At first I thought it was just jet lag, over the past two weeks it has developed into lose stoll with constant blood. Upon seeing my doctor I was perscribed Cipro, 500mg/2x daily, while my bloodwork and stool sample were being processed. The Cipro seemed to make me bleed even more. My bloodwork is perfect and my stool sampled showed no evidence of parasites.
Avatar m tn i went to Malaysia and when i came back from the trip, i had a very bad jet-lag that triggered my anxiety to worsen. I went to my doctor and was given Xanax and it works. But somehow after that i wasn't able to totally recover. I have to take Xanax from time to time. Last month October, i went to Spain and before that trip i was pretty exhausted trying to get things finish before the trip and it definitely trigger my anxiety to another level.
Avatar f tn Most people know it as an over-the-counter or prescription medication to help conquer jet lag, but melatonin may now have a new use.Scientists at the World Congress of Fertility and Sterility in Munich, September 2010, heard that women with poor egg quality having IVF treatments who were also treated with melatonin were more likely to get pregnant. The StudyPoor egg quality is one of the causes of infertility in women and up to now there has been no treatment available to help this condition.
Avatar n tn I saw my Dr as I had put it down to jet lag as also been feeling wiped out but that was a month ago and he is testing for carpnal tunnel and thyroids, but the symptoms I have read up on don't seem to mention the other bits I have. I am due to see my neurologist in a month but I expect all my blood tests come back normal. I don't like it and have two young children so it's alittle worrying.
405614 tn?1329144114 I suppose I can chalk it up to jet lag and having done a lot during my week in North Carolina, despite the daily naps I took with my Provigil there. I even bought a latte this weekend, hoping to wake myself up; just made me feel ill. And shaky. I gave half of it to my roommate. Through whining now; must wake myself up enough to drive in to pick up my prescriptions. Thanks for listening. I'll bet plenty of you can relate.
Avatar m tn Thank you so much to those who created the "sticky" threads in this group; I feel so much better after reading them. All of my "symptoms" are easily explained as a combination of jet lag, anxiety and guilt. Before I go into my scary and dumb story (wow, there are so many of us!), I'll say that I told my wife the truth as soon as I got home from Paris, and I haven't picked up a drink since my nightmare last Sunday.
Avatar m tn I felt like it was taking a long time to get over my jet lag. I was exhausted for a week or two and it never really got much better. I have felt tired, regardless of how much sleep I get since then. In December 2016 I went to an internal medicine doctor to have some blood tests done to figure out what was wrong. They came back positive for Cytomegalovirus (results attached - IgG level at 5.5). The doctor told me there wasn't much I could do and to check back with him in a month.
Avatar f tn this started when i went away for a trip overseas and i was a bit worried i wouldnt sleep due to jet lag, and the first few days of being there i got a few hours each of day of sleep until i was adjusted. however, one day i was anxious and restless, could not stop moving because i worried my SO was back with his ex when i went away. i know he wouldnt do that but i just thought about it and it caused me to be restless.
Avatar n tn He also did a general exam and found no problems and no swollen lymph nodes. I thought that maybe the long flight, jet lag, etc. was the cause of the back pain and fatigue, which lasted less than two days. 2.5 to 3 weeks after the sex, I begin to feel very slight burning or soreness under my armpits. This continued and eventually felt like tightness in my chest and pain under my armpits.
Avatar m tn Hello, last week I was in Peru, on friday went to Cusco so I could visit Machu Pichu, which I did on sunday. Yesterady when I got back home (live in a tropical country) i started experiencing difficulty breathing, reason why I did not want to eat cause it made it difficult. Todfay still i feel the same way? Could this be any sign of something dangerous? Or, could this be just a type of jet lag, coming from a chilly weather to a hot weather, ot the change in altitude?
