provigil and lexapro together

Has anyone ever tried this combo? Did it work for you? My doc wants me to take Lexapro 10 mg for panic disorder and depression but I get sooo tired and told him that I'd need something more energizing to keep me going and get me off the couch, Wellbutrin XL works wonders in that regard. I haven't heard from the doc yet...maybe he thinks I'm crazy lol.

I was given Reglan last Nov after I was diagnosed with ulcers. I didn't suffer the side effects you both are describing, thank God, but had to go off of it because it made my period start and stop. Really severe bleeding. My GI doc INSISTED the Reglan wasn't the culprit, and it wasn't until after I presented her with the side effects list from the pharmacy, would she acknowledge I was right. As soon as I quit this med, my system went back to normal.

my daughter was prescribed zoloft (sertraline) 25 mg, celexa 10 mg, and lexapro 5 mg to take all together. When picking up her prescription, the pharmacist questioned the prescribing doctors mix saying that taking all three could cause serotonin syndrome. My daughter started out on the zoloft at half dose for a week, then went to 25 mg, then added celexa and lexapro a few weeks later. She is now at week 16 but seems to be doing fine except for she can't get rid of a flu.

But what I wanted to tell you is I am on 30mg of Lexapro and 3 mg of Ativan a day. All filter through the Kidneys. Lexapro also has an agent in it for anxiety as well. Now remember I have been fighting this for a long time so my dose is not really high but higher than one would start on. It works GREAT, and helps with all the TX SX like muscle aches, ECT. I will only add one thing to Ryan's otherwise very good post. People do have different reactions to different drugs, even to Celexa and Lexapro or Pristiq and Effexor. While it's true the companies are trying to keep a patented product in their lineup, Lexapro seems to have fewer side effects than Celexa, but many people do find one or the other works better. Same probably with Pristiq and Effexor. But to prescribe both at once is insane.

I was already on Lexapro for depression long before I started treatment, and I upped my Lexapro dose at week 2. The Lexapro is working nicely at this point, and I am not depressed. I'm definitely very familiar with lack of energy and fatigue that comes from depression, but has anyone used Wellbutrin as an "energy booster" when they aren't depressed? I'm thinking that the NP just felt compelled to try to offer something when she saw me feeling so bad yesterday.... Oh.

I do use OTC sleep aids like you said and i think for now i will continue, i have some ambien, but i will keep it to use when i need it, since i had to beg for it. I dont want to use it all the time anyway. And i use 200 mg of provigil now, and i sometimes i could use a bit more. But i try to stick with 200 mg.

My doctor wants me to start Lexapro because of depression & anxiety symptoms. My insurance company is denying because I also take Ampyra, Rebiff & Nuvigil. Do these drugs interact with each other that insurance would deny it?

When you were switched, I'm assuming a doctor made this decision to switch out Lexapro for Paxil and add on Klonopin? Are they aware of your also taking propranolol? Drug interactions are real but typically doctors try to be aware of a patients full history as long as you provide it to them. A pharmacist where you fulfil your prescriptions is also a great source of information. In general, paxil and klonopin are frequently prescribed together.

would not take lexapro and effexor together. for effexor withdrawal i take omega3 fish oil caps twice a day//benadryl as needed for dizzyness\\ b12 sublingualtwice a day\\st. johns wort twice a day// vitamin d3 twice a day ---ibuprofen(motrin) as needed for muscle pain. as far as i am concerned, i will never take a prescription rx. for anxiety and depression again. i also have ptsd. i am sticking to st. johns wort and omega 3 fish oil caps. both will treat depression.

Started Lexapro today and I am quite "jittery" and shaky. does anyone know if I can take a small benzo to help calm me down until the Lexapro takes effect?

Has anyone ever taken Lexapro and Abilify together? I've been on 10mg Lexapro (for chronic dysthymia) for about 2 years now. I've always had positive reactions to Lexapro: great sex drive, great mood, slept okay (I do take Lunesta for sleep). However, lately (for the past 4 months I'd say), my depression has worsened for no real reason. I've found myself a lot more tired when I wake up (I sleep 9-10 hours a night), don't want to be with anyone, no energy, no sex drive.

s not a day time med, I became very tired, groggy and sleepy. I am currently taking ambien 10mg every night for sleep. should I take another lexapro tonight? I can't take it before work? I have tried provigil on and off for years. No side effects. It did keep me from that feeling I couldnt wake up for any reason. No insurance complained but now suddenly, they said because I made a late insurance payment, Im being canceled. I believe they dont want to pay for my provigil. I had sent the payment to Aetna Tri Net Cobra and did it online instead of mailing it, had I mailed it, it would have been postmarked. I got very little mail for days after the Memorial Holiday.

caution is advised with 5htp and ssris...i did take 100 - 200 mg 5htp when i was on lexapro and had no problems...it is a caution and i was on 10 mg which i really took just 5 mg of lexapro for wds as i halfed my lexapro.....5htp releases serotonin and so does lexapro so the caution is serotonin overload Methionone is the precursor of SAMe and is more stable and more readily absorbed than SAMe and cheaper...it increses enkephlins and not serotonin///they r not the same...

I would say yes, because wellbutrin is an antidepressant and klonopin is a benzo and they don't have any neg effect together usually and are often perscribed together, to be sure I would call an all night pharmacist or your local pharmacist, they can give you more professional advice, I do it all the time. JUst ask them if you can tak ethe two together and they can tell you if you need to look for or worry with side effects, but I would think it is fine.
