Try having 5 small meals per day, set apart 2.5hours / 3hours. Also, whenever you feel like you want a snack, eat some fruit instead of junk food. Also, don't forget, an hour or more per day of cardio and heavy weight lifting will help you burn fat faster, resulting in you losing weight.

Cashews and other nuts do have lots of fat but are excellent sources of protein and fiber and are recommended for heart health. They are excellent as replacements for eating too much animal protein. Almonds and walnuts are probably better as they have less fat, but cashews are still a great food. Wheat instead of rice?
