I am wondering if this could be the reason we were unable to conceive all those years and if the Propecia had affected his sperm quality to the point it could not become a healthy embryo? Have you heard anything like this?
Also, ever since I became pregnant in Nov. of 08, I have had constant twinges or slight pressure in the area where my left ovary is located. It hasn't become worse but it is there almost every day.
My erections are not as hard as they used to be and I do not stay hard for long. I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. After that exposure I had HIV rapid test 3 weeks later it did came positive then in the same day I did ELISA test and came Negative then I repeated Rapid test 3 days later and came negative after 6 weeks after that exposure I did another ELISA and came negative then my doctor noticed my anxiety and he offered me to do PCR and W.B which was 40 days after the exposure and came Negative both of them.
there were just times I could feel literally during sex my penis getting less and less hard.. that scared me. in the back of my mind I was thinking about the time it happened before and I think it made it happen so that wasn't fun..it crushed me.. I was convinced it was mental but obviously that plays into it to.. it's been so hard.. then I contributed it more to propecia and obviously after that I just had to quit.. I don't get why 5 years later it's becoming a issue?
Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?
Went to a different doctor. Testosterone came out to 305, and my response to Viagra was the same. He said that maybe the propecia reset my system, and now my body is producing less testosterone that it needs for the sexual function that I am looking for. He said that although my testosterone levels may be normal (even though they are on the low side of the scale), my body needs more. He said that he would not recommend testosterone because too many side effects.

Since telogen effluvium is reversible and self-limiting, I think you should hold off on the Propecia for 3 months and see what happens. If the hair is falling out a lot less, then I would continue to wait for the hair to re-grow from its telogen loss. You don't really have anything to lose--male-pattern hair loss wouldn't leave you substantially balder in 3 months anyway, and you can always reconsider the use of Propecia then.

Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Treatment is tough and in the big scheme of things hair loss is the least of your worries. I know as young man of 32 it's difficut to understand that but it's very true.

My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated. My imagination or the sight of an attractive girl doesn't do it like it did prior to taking the drug. I don't feel aroused or want sex hardly ever.
so the doctor prescribed me for propecia which i consumed last 50 days. for the first 30 days, i consumed one tablet per day and the last 20 days i consumed 2 tablets/day. I was also taking anti convolution tablet for a different reason from a different doctor for 10 days.
Now i am having erectile dysfunction. So i stopped taking the pills now. Can anybody please tell me how many days it will take usually for reversing this condition?

It has been a month now but my Gyno hasnt reduced, I restarted propecia as I was starting to lose hair.
I do take rogaine and propecia for pattern baldness but I was on propecia for a year and a half before getting the erectile dysfunction and retrograde ejaculation symptoms. I am kind of worried it could be autonomic neuropathy as I do have some auto immune diseases such as propecia and alopecia areata, I believe I have rheumatoid arthritis and sjogrens syndrome but got negative rheumatoid factor and ana tests, however a positive schirmer test and pain in my joints.
t the FDA get this drug off the market way back in the 70s? (When it came in the shape of Proscar, but technically was the same drug). I mean, it's been out there for a while... A lot of people should be affected by this. And now I'm afraid that I learned abut it far too late.
Anyway, I still have no libido, and it might be psychosomatic, or just a depression but I'm so afraid that it's not.
There is really no pain upon ejaculation, only the feeling of a slight buildup due to the thickness of the semen. I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case.
I took him to dermetologist, he priscribed Propecia for him. He said it has sexual side effect and goes away when yo sop taking the drug. He has lots of hair now and he does not lose any more hair. Both T3 uptake and Total T4 are pretty much obsolete and of little value. IF the reference range for the FT4 is supposed to be 0.8-1.4, then your FT4 is over range and might indicate that you are hyperthyroid. You really need to have a Free T3 test done. Free T3 is the actual available thyroid hormone and will give more information.
Did your doctor recommend the progesterone?
Your symptoms certainly seem to indicate hyper, but I'd sure like to see a Free T3.
Some people using SP also suffer from low total T and free T or in other words they are hypogonadal. The only solution is go on TRT for the life.
SP is very potent and dangerous herb.It should not be sold without clear warnings.
I am also one of it's ex-user and have been handicaped for the last 12-13 months.

To think SP is safe is like some body thinking a bite from Cobra might be safe.
