My erections are not as hard as they used to be and I do not stay hard for long. I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution.
wouldn't this information be widely distributed if it was 100% true. Like those commercials that list the side effects for 20 minutes at the end? you'd figure a drug company would post all side effects to avoid huge lawsuits.
I am having similar erectile problems. I've been on propecia for about 6 years and I'm 31. I've talked to a few doctors and they all say the drug is relatively harmless. I'm also taking cymbalta, which can cause these effects.
5 mg for one year and 1 mg for 1 year till today), In october 2016 my derm put me on accutane 10 mg and minoxiline(100mg) for treating my mild acne, I had been drinking heavily for 5 days before starting my accutane course, 10 days into the course, I started to have Gyno(Unilateral, right breast with a movable tender lump), I dropped accutane and minoxiline and also propecia after 23 days. It has been a month now but my Gyno hasnt reduced, I restarted propecia as I was starting to lose hair.

My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated. My imagination or the sight of an attractive girl doesn't do it like it did prior to taking the drug. I don't feel aroused or want sex hardly ever.

I have been under alot of stress in the past two years due to divorce, physical problems, addiction to pills (oxycontin), smoking and losing my job and career...many other problems in my life. I am 40 years old and have always had a thick wavy head of hair. I started using a product made by Nissin which is a medicated shampoo followed by a treatment that gets massaged in. Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?

s assistant pretty much ruled out telogen effluvium, told me it was androgentic alopecia, and wrote me a prescription for Propecia. I almost wish I had not went to this appointment as I now have to decide between what this PA concluded and what seems like common sense.

Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Treatment is tough and in the big scheme of things hair loss is the least of your worries. I know as young man of 32 it's difficut to understand that but it's very true.
It blocks the conversion of dht and can inturn lower testosterone levels. if u read up on propecia, the hair loss treatment.

I have no idea if all the medications you have been taking for different health matters are causing your breast and libido issues. This Forum deals solely with breast problems and I don’t think that your symptoms are indicative of breast cancer because this disease in male breast, typically presents as a painless mass behind the areola. But a movable tender lump is most likely to be a cyst .
Within the last 4 months I have noticed that when ejaculating during sex, my ejaculation is not as strong and barely comes out. I had no problems before this period with a strong ejaculation. There also seems to be less volume of fluid.( I am a 40 year old male and had a vasectomy 2 years ago.) Is this a sign of a prostate problem?
Finasteride is an underestimated and dangerous pill for hair loss. Its hard to stop it and not experience libido issues. You are lucky enough that you took it for so little time. There are other people taking it for years facing serious hormonal side effects. It will probably take as long as you took the tablets to feel like before. So a couple of months is a good projection as this pill changes hormonal balance in your blood and gene expression about androgen receptors.
There is really no pain upon ejaculation, only the feeling of a slight buildup due to the thickness of the semen. I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case.

I felt like I had a lump in my throat and my mouth was dry. I sucked on a lemon for days and it cleared. Then the dry mouth and sticky saliva came back. It has not left since 2 months ago. I no longer get the lump. I sometimes get the mucus I cough up. My doctor changed my Anti depressants (was on for 5 years few problems) and I take lamoprozole. I was on propecia for 2 years but stopped that after this started. I did have problems for a few weeks with bad night sweats before this all started.
