Saw Palmetto works like propecia but side effects are more severe than propecia. It blocks both 5-alpha reductase type I & II. so Testosterone does not convert to DHT, no DHT means no sexual function. Some people using SP also suffer from low total T and free T or in other words they are hypogonadal. The only solution is go on TRT for the life.
SP is very potent and dangerous herb.It should not be sold without clear warnings.
ll also add that I have a testicular varacacele (sp?) and I just got a varacacele embolization done two weeks ago to have it fixed.... Thoughts?

Also experienced mild headaches, a slight shortness of breath and chest discomfort. I was experiencing testicular pain there for a while but that has dissapeared now.
I am currently about 15 days off the drug. I have no idea what the heck has happened to my body when I first went on it and right when I went off it. Very atypical stuff I think.
I don't know what has caused the symptoms I am experiencing. Before fin I was hyper sexual and erections weren't even a thought.
I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair. Propecia has halted my hair loss and has re-grown considerable amount of hair. Thus, I need to address my erection problems while still being able to take Propecia. I read that L-Arginine could help with my erectile problems and that it works similar to Viagra. Thus, I began taking L-Arginine, 1500 mg. twice a day. It has helped but it has not solved the problem.
My question is that what might this small lump might be and i also heard the testicular cancer lumps happens to lay in front of the testicle and they are the size of a pea and the lump that i have is much more smaller then a pea ( i have no family history of testicular cancer or any other cancer thank god).

I stopped being hard during sex twice with my girlfriend..

Gynecomastia is one of the presenting features in testicular cancer but is not the sole symptom of testicular cancer. Testicular pain can also be due to injury, infection (Epididymitis or Orchitis) or inflammation, testicular torsion( most common in young men), excessive bicycle riding, hernia,varicocele or kidney or ureteric stones.
Lab investigations like complete blood examination, urine examination, ultrasound lower abdomen and sometimes a urethral swab will help in diagnosis.
Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?
If the pain worsens then pls consult a urologist and get the other causes of testicular pain like epididymitis,orchitis,testicular torsion or any tumors of the testicles ruled out.

To my horror I came across this page and saw your posts. I stopped taking propecia more than a year ago and have not regained any of the sexual funtion i lost while taking the meds. My erections are LAME, my seaman volume is a joke (and it used to come out like a garden hose) and my orgasms dont even feel that great. I can go months and months now without masterbation and dont even feel horny. This NEVER used to happen to me.
Varicoceles and spermatoceles and to some extent hydroceles also cause pain testicular pain when you strain as in lifting weight. Retractile testis, testicular cancer or any infection of testis, epidiymis etc too can cause this pain.

ve noticed that upon ejaculation, there seems to be jelly like globules present in the semen. The semen is also slightly yellow tinted. There is really no pain upon ejaculation, only the feeling of a slight buildup due to the thickness of the semen. I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia).

The symptoms cleared up within a week of treatment with the exception of the testicular pain which seems to come and go. I attributed this to chronic epididymitis and assume that it will be here for the long term. My question is; Does having chronic epididymitis as a result of gonorrhea mean that I am still infected and that the bacteria is still present? Can I continue to transmit the gonorrhea infection to others as a result?
s assistant pretty much ruled out telogen effluvium, told me it was androgentic alopecia, and wrote me a prescription for Propecia. I almost wish I had not went to this appointment as I now have to decide between what this PA concluded and what seems like common sense.

Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Since last many months I feel occasional pain on the outer size of the testicular sac, ie, areas touching the thighs.
