I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.
I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days. I had my hopes up that perhaps I was pregnant because I know some women who have not gotten a positive on a home pregnancy test until a week after the expected period. I think I had my hopes up too much when the period was late when in fact it may have been the progesterone that was delaying my period. Has anyone had experience on progesterone like this?
I was in prometrium 200mg once a day with my 3rd pregnancy..and still i m/c at 17&1/2 weeks.. and i stopped taking the prometrium at my 15&1/2weeks( i should only take them for 12 weeks, but my dr told me to continued the left pills..) still don't know the reason why,, if it's bec. i stopped taking the progesterone supplement or there is some thing else..
t bleed more than a day. Never got my period. Saw the doc on Oct 13 and did blood work and started Prometrium 400mg for 10 days to induce period. Finished Prometrium on Oct 22. Today is Nov 3 and still no period. My doc said I should get my period within a few days of stopping the Prometrium. Data for Prometrium says should get a period within 7 days. It's now been 12 days since stopping the Prometrium. The bloodwork showed hCG level at 1, TSH at 1.32 and Prolactin at 8.9.
When I do, I recommend that you test your urine daily with urine ovulation prediction starting on day 10 or 11, have intercourse the day the urine turns positive and the day after, and then start prometrium 3 days after the urine turns positive; this way you know that you are starting the prometrium at the correct time.
I personally would be very hesitant to start prometrium on day 12 - I think that is too early and could make things worse.
I was prescribed prometrium and this is my second month. This month I used an ovulator kit and BD on the right days and took prometrium as soon as I ovulated, so why am I not pregnant. I have all the symptoms; but this can also be prometrium side effects. I really do not believe that I am pregnant because I have not experienced any spotting. I am SO frustrated. Has anyone gone through the same experience?
I think it looks fine too. Could be that your baby implanted just a few days ago and it's just now starting to rise. Lets hope for a 95 tomorrow! Your progesterone looks great too!
I am TTC and taking crinone gel on day 17 until I get my period. I have noticed that I start having some mild cramps around 5 or 6 days after starting the crinone suppositories. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems to be working b/c I am not having mid-cycle spotting anymore and my cycles have gone from 24 days to around 32 days.

I took clomid 50(cycle2) on Jan 11th (3-7)after 5 days my period has started and i'm still bleeding with clots.Doc has prescribed me the prometrium 200 mg for 5 days to stop.Then he is asking me to take clomid100 for this cycle3. Has any one taken Prometrium for abnormal bleeding? and if so did this medicine really works??.Thanks for any advice, it's very much appreciated.
I had a natural miscarriage back at the beginning of Oct. this was my second miscarriage so it was especially painful. On top of the miscarriages my husband and I also have difficulty conceiving because my left ovary is smaller than normal, and it took us over a year of trying each time we got pregnant. right after my miscarriage i had heavy bleeding that did not stop for 6 weeks. my dr. prescribed me a medicine that is given to women after birth to stop bleeding.
I am 9 weeks pregnant (thank God) and I was taking metformin to control insulin levels and hormone levels. I got pregnant four months after starting the metformin treatment. Because I had a miscarriage last year. They put me on prometrium. As soon as I found out I was pregnant. I went to get my HCG and progesteron checked. it was HCG 130 and progesterone 45.8 which is good. But they put me on it just in case.
It just finished my last pill on Sat, so now a waiting game. A friend took prometrium for 5 days and had her period 4 days after she took her last pill. Heard it can take up to a week?
This is only my 2nd month with RE and 1st time I'm taking any type of meds besides BC. Then RE said she's going to put me on Estrace one my cycle comes? I'm hoping for the best? We also are trying to get pregnant. Isn't so frustrating!

What my OB/GYN as well as my fertility specialist have prescribed me is a pill called Prometrium. I take that for 5-7 days out of the month and usually within two weeks of starting the first pill I have a period.
my doctor put me on prometrium. 1st month 10 days later i got my period. 2nd month 10 days later i only spotted for a day and no period. Did this happend to anyone? What could it be?
I did not get periods for 2 months but I was getting some kind of bleeding every now and then. My gynac suggested me to take prometrium for 10 days after seeing a follicle. Its been 7 days now that i have stopped prometrium but still no periods. I have take HPT too in the past week and both the tests are negative.
I am confused if I am pregnant or not
Could some one suggest me here any solution.
Also, when should we take the HPT once we stop prometrium.
My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. This month I thought there was a chance I was pregnant and he told me instead of taking it days 16-25 I should remain on it until I know for sure if I am pregnant. I still have not gotten my period, and I am 3 days late.
I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes. I stopped taking the prometrium th week before I called her.
