778044 tn?1299542934 Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.
Avatar n tn gov/ddiseases/pubs/intestinaladhesions/ Pelvic and vaginal pain can be due to UTIs, vulvovaginitis, labial adhesions and foreign body in vagina like a toilet paper etc, STD, PID or pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine or extra uterine endometriosis, kidney stones and vaginal prolapse. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor, preferably a gynecologist. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.
Avatar n tn I dont have my ovary's. I have been on Estrogen Premarin for 2 months now. Just trying to get the right balance I need since I've been up with bad night sweats and hot flashes. This pain was just one I never felt before. I never had any pain after having my kids. The only time is when I had endo and adneomyois this past year.

Avatar f tn Vaginal or vulval pain can be due to UTIs, vulvovaginitis, labial adhesions and foreign body in vagina like a toilet paper etc, STD, PID or pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine or extra uterine endometriosis, kidney stones and vaginal prolapse. If you have a previous history of abdominal surgery, then this can be due to adhesions which can be diagnosed by laproscopy only. It can also be due to nerve impingement either pudendal nerve or spinal nerve.
Avatar n tn In girls there are various causes of urinary pain ranging from UTIs to vulvovaginitis, labial adhesions and foreign body in vagina like a toilet paper etc. Hematuria or blood in urine both visible and invisible is another cause. You should take your daughter to your gynecologist once and to an urologist. She may or may not need further tests like urethroscopy, IVP etc. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
Avatar f tn Do I need to continue taking Premarin .0625 or can I discontinue since I am past meopause age.
Avatar m tn I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.
Avatar n tn So she told me to have a Premarin 0.625MG and deviry 10MG. Premarin should take from 5th Day till 25st Day and Deviry from 19th till 25th .. After three month the size of uterus has not increased much so Dr suggested us to have 2 Premarin . But she is not having her period from last three Months. Could you please suggest whether she took Deviry 10Mg to get her period back.. Please suggest me ...
Avatar f tn I was placed on Premarin immediately after the surgery. I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. My muscle aches are gone and my blood counts are now registering normal.
Avatar n tn Adhesions aren't off the table even though you had surgery for them once already. In some people, scar tissue can be the gift that keeps on giving. You probably already know that scar tissue usually doesn't show up on imaging studies or other tests making it difficult to diagnose the problem. Surgery is both a diagnostic and treatment tool, but without an indication of a surgical problem on tests, most surgeons will be unwilling to do a diagnostic laparascopy. Most, but not all.
787406 tn?1339203183 I had a hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis. Cervix was removed. And I have been on Premarin and then Estradiol for 24 years. I had a hysterectomy when I was 23 years old and 32 years old when I had a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy. I am 47 years old now.
Avatar f tn I finally convinced my gp doctor to check my hormone levels and according to the nurse they came back normal. My gp doctor had already prescribed Premarin for me to take at .3mg. daily. I have not had a hysterectomy. He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes.
Avatar n tn Well I can say from my experience I can't use Premarin because it causes yeast infections for me. I think you can take the pill Diflucan do get rid of the yeast infection but don't be surprised that it is persistent and wont go away. I would call the pharmacy to make sure as I am not a doctor but I know I would use both but I also would ask.
691935 tn?1421027090 My doctor has instructed me to stop taking Premarin because of my age of 65 years due to cancer risks. I also learned that by turning 65 (in the U.S.) insurance will no longer cover. As with most women related issues, we don't count. I started Premarin after a total hysterectomy at age 35. Anyway, I'm experiencing heart palpitations, heat ache, body aches, night sweats, and loud ringing in the ears.
Avatar n tn If the premarin cream causes a yeast infection should I stop useing it(the premarin cream) or keep useing it. I read somewhere that you should continue useing it to get rid of the yeast infection. I am a bit confused.
Avatar m tn Same partner for 1 year 5 mo. He tested neg for hsv 1 and 2 1 month ago, I was neg 2 months ago. Igg test. I took 1 diflucan 150mg last day of antibiotic as a precaution.
Avatar f tn Will premarin and hrt help with the anxiety that comes along with menopause? I cannot seem to get a straight answer from researching it on the net. I'm desperate for help.
Avatar f tn You had a hyster for an ovarian cyst? Was it cancerous? Was there another reason why they gave you the hyster? Have you had an ultrasound done recently? It is possible to have Ovarian remnant syndrome and a cyst has grown back hence the weight gain however it could be something totally different. Are you having any abdominal issues?
Avatar m tn I have had multiple surgeries for lysis of adhesions due to hysterectomy, c-sections, ovarian cyst removal, etc. I have had a bowel resection due to the adhesions on the small intestine. I am in constant, severe pain but I am told by the doctors around here that there is nothing to be done, because any additional surgery to remove adhesions would only create more adhesions plus it is too dangerous for them to even attempt since everything is stuck together.
Avatar n tn If the TSH is 6 - you are hypothyroid and may need more medication. The need for more meds is likely due to premarin (estrogen binds thyroid hormone and increases the amount of replacement meds needed in many patients). The symptoms are mixed and may be more menopausal than thyroid.
Avatar f tn Thanks for responding. I have been on HRT, that's why I am seeking something alternative. HRT made me crazy..even on the lowest dosage. I foun d one bioidentical online that actually contained MSG as an ingredient and I am horribly sensitive to that, gives me migraines, which is also one of the lovely s/e of menopause. I will look up a reproducitve endocrinologist..thanks, didn't know where to turn!
Avatar f tn also recommended hormonal tablet and cream which is Premarin 0.625 and premarin cream for 6 months. Now I want to know whetherr there are any side effects to it and if any, what are they and what can i do? Please let me know, as I am a bit tensed.
