in the States, has unlabeled uses for GAD and SAD, (Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder) it is primarily prescribed here for fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain associated with peripheral neuropathy. Nowhere can I find that it is beneficial for sleep problems, although one of it's side effects IS "fatigue," I don't think that is the desired effect for a sleep aid.
are there any new developing medication for anxiety? im taking pregabalin amongst others but cant recommend it enough!
The only anti anxiety medication iv been on is pregabalin,was on it for over a year but it didnt really agree with me.im currently taking fluxoteine 20mg x 2 a day and cinerazine.Im looking for a anti anxiety drug to help stop this dizziness that iv had for over 2 years,im not looking for a "fix" but something to help me while i battle this anxiety and agoraphobia.Have you ever been on buspar?
The problem is, I have been on it for a few years now and am wondering is it the pregabalin, or is it a result of actually having an underlying anxiety condition? Anyone out there had any similar experiences?
no it is not arthritis.....my question is....what will happen if she combines the methadone and the pregabalin?...she takes methadone about every other day...a bottle of 130mg methadone will last her almost 5 to 6 days....any info would be helpful.
they put it down to neuropatic pain and was prescribed pregabalin that helps when i take it but when i dont take it and feel the pain all these feelings of getting bad news fron the breast clinic and the burning gets worse then gets better can get worse again and so on.it only seems to happen when i'm alone and sitting and thinking when i'm busy i can't feel it and it seems to subside.

I suffer from depression and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), with anxiety and panic attacks for two years. I suppose depression arised from the fact that both my daughters were forced to immigrate because of the economic crisis of my homeland.
Anyway, i tried Cipralex, Cymbalta, Seroxat, Effexor even and the combo Effexor with Remeron (California rocket fuel) but without great results. In fact, some of these meds, made me worse. Only Xanax relieves me.
ve gone from happy to anxious 24/7. Do you know what triggered your anxiety or is it just a generalised anxiety? I find that medication doesn't help me either, I take propranolol for fast heart rate and shakiness which it does remove these things but the actual anxiety still remains, I find that distraction is the only thing that works for me, like looking cleaning, reading , walking, although some days nothing seems to help and I cannot focus all day!
I have sever depression, anxiety, and fibro. I am currently on Savella, which seems to have worked somewhat well for fibro and depression. Unfortunately, what I cant control is the anxiety. I cant work. The PA Ive been seeing for the last 18 years wont even give me ten xanax a month, so I can rarely go out. I dont know if increasing the Savella will help calm the anxiety or not?

As, I know about this drug than this drug is taken for anxiety disorder and also, this drug has been taken to decrease the Hot Flashes, and I am not finding that this medicine is use for brest cancer as, there are several other medicines that are used for this as, this is also called Pregabalin and this is a production of Pfizer.

s analgetic properties(against peripheral and central neuropathic pain) but also it is indicated for GAD (not panic attacks) .
Lyrica (pregabalin) is a more potent form of gabbapentin, it is an anti convulsant drug, which is also used for neuropathic pain and generalized anxiety disorder.
It can also have some serious side effects just like gabbapentin, which include depression, drowsiness, and suicidal tendencies.
Not something I would want to run out and get for wd's. It must be carefully monitored by your Doc.
I'm 21 and male. I was having arm pains which was caused by neck pain for bad posture on computer desk. So I went to the GP (general medicine) and he said the pain is for the neck, and it will go away and asked me to do some static neck exercise and swimming and prescribed 'Pregabalin m-75' to take for 1 month and stop.

I've had a look through PubMed database to see if there have been scientific studies specifically on the question of tolerance, but without joy. As far as I can tell, the main assumption/claim is that because pregabalin is not known to be metabolically active (ie, the liver and body don't metabolise it into other molecules) the patient shouldn't develop tolerance.
I am now a bit more sceptical of that claim.
Then the headache diminished and the needle-like pain disappeared. So, I went to the gym for doing 30 min. cardio and also as an anti-anxiety measure. Later that night I got instensive FASCICULATIONS in my legs (thighs and calves), arms, back, more rarely in my abs and other parts and aslo pain-tiredness in the legs. After 4 days fasciculatons and a light headache remained, the doctor checked me and found fasciculations also in my tongue.
