Pramipexole and alcohol

Common Questions and Answers about Pramipexole and alcohol

mirapex

Avatar f tn The last couple of days I've been REAL sick at my stomach and dizzy. I don't have any fever. I'm just wondering if it's a virus? If not I'm going to have to go through my supplements and meds. The only new med is the Pramipexole .05 twice a day (Mirapex). The supplements are Sam-E, D 2000, A and Magnesium 250 twice a day. I'm going to cut the Pramipexole to once a day. Does anyone see if any one of these would cause this or is there a virus going around?
Avatar m tn I have been reading positive things about Pramipexole helping with pain and was thinking about suggesting it to my doc to try in combo with my Hydro. I was just curious if anyone here has any experience with it or knows someone who has?
Avatar f tn Has anyone used a patch? The only med I take is pramipexole.
1192491 tn?1265031829 Currently, there is a generic available for Mirapex (Pramipexole) and it is made by TEVA pharmaceuticals. It comes in the 0.125mg, 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, and 1.5mg strength tablets.
Avatar m tn My husband is taking clonazepam .05, Lomtrigine 200 mg and pramipexole dihydrochloride 0.25 for depression, anxiety and RLS. He hasn't been able to get out of bed lately and has missed a lot of work. Could this excessive sleepiness be due to the combination of these drugs? It is not that he doesn't want to get out of bed, it's almost as if he is drugged, which led to my question. This is not normal.
1840891 tn?1431547793 I just wanted to share something I recently learned about yet another possible side effect of interferon, and an effective treatment for it. A month or two ago I started developing a new sleep problem (in addition to the usual one of ribavirin causing more wakefulness, so that even when extremely sleepy from my usual dose of melatonin, I was kept awake by physical fidgeting, especially with leg movement.
Avatar n tn I got a bad case of it towards the end of my last tx, 48 weeks of triple tx with Incivek. The RLS hit me at about week 36 and continued until about a week after I quit the meds. My internist prescribed a small dose of Pramipexole (a Parkinson's drug) for it but I hated the way it made me feel. Someone else on the forum suggested magnesium supplements and that worked great.
Avatar m tn I am a healthy 45-male. Non-smoker. In May I began having muscle fatigue in my lower legs... both of them. Within a couple of weeks it had spread to my arms as well. Not weakness and not really pain... just a rubbery feeling like I'd been working out for hours. I've been to my primary doc, a rheumatologist, and a neuro. I have had dozens of blood tests done... all mostly normal. My neuro did a nerve test on my legs and arms. All normal. I've had an MRI of my spine... nothing.
Avatar m tn m using (Pramipexole) but I suffer a dizziness side effect. I need your help to use a medicine which have not such side effect. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn m down to one 10mg oxyneo and one 5mg oxtcocet. Staying like this for another day and than hitting ground zero tomorrow. Praying it won't be to bad, but with this new med for RLS I think I'm gong to be OK.
Avatar n tn She has been taking carbidopa/levadopa and had probably increased the amount she takes as she seems to have the leg and arm continuously. At the onset, she is suffering a lot of pain and discomfort. She is wondering if the arm problem has started because of the carbidopa. She has had to sleep on the floor because of her discomfort. Soma seems to relax her a bit. I guess my question is this. Is this all connected, arms and legs, or is it a symptom of something else.
230948 tn?1235844329 A that dopamine is a hormone/neurotransmitter lacking in pakinson patients and that sometimes it has been founf to be lacking in fibroymyalgia patients too and i know there are some wise people on here so thought i would pay a visit and see if i can get some info from somebody that might of tried it or knows someone who has.
Avatar n tn You could try to reduce stress and help in relaxing muscles with warm baths, gentle stretching exercises and massage. Low doses of pramipexole has been prescribed by some and found effective. If you have disrupted sleep you could be prescribed anti parkinsonism medicines tranquilisers etc. you may also require iron supplements if iron deficiency is the cause of this. You would need a neurologist’s consultation ideally. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn Certain of its side effects also like hyperalgesia or feeling exaggerated aches and pains and hallucinations of feeling things that are not there could be contributing to your hyper sensitivity to touch. The crawling sensation arises from you falling asleep on a particular limb, a nerve entrapment syndrome, stroke, encephalitis, transverse myelitis, and multiple sclerosis can all cause crawling sensations.
1838963 tn?1318496884 Anti seizure drugs like gabapentin, pregabalin, dopamine agonists like pramipexole, ropinirole, and cyclobenzaprine can be used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms. Consult your neurologist for evaluation of symptoms and appropriate therapy. rule out connective tissue disorders like SLE, rheumatoid arthritis etc.Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn I have nerve damage from herniated disk and have the same problem. I tried things like muscle relaxers and neurontin but they didn't work. Finally my doctor put me on gabitril and they finally stopped. It is a seizure medication. As far as your legs giving out my best guess would be the spasms are overworking them. I know I would wake up and feel like I ran the iron man marathon. I had even occasionally kicked my husband out of bed.
Avatar f tn So of you have say 2 drinks in an hour, your blood alcohol and your breast milk will have 0.08% alcohol. This amount is almost the same that is found in normal juice (yes there is naturally very very trace amounts in all juice). As long as you aren't drinking heavily and nursing at the same time, you are fine to have a drink every now and then without worrying about harming your baby.
3232858 tn?1437130677 In the past and when we were having difficulties trying to stabilize me with psych meds, he absolutely forbade drinking alcohol ic beverages. Like you, I hardly drink and very rarely do I crave or want alcohol. I prefer coffee when I feel the need for a "drink," so I don't consider myself an alcoholic.
Avatar m tn I wont go into "random" testing. Alcohol is a toxin so your Liver stops all other functions (and there are dozens of them) to detoxify your Blood. Its the liver that removes Met. So detoxing the alcohol can cause the Met to build up in your system. You dont say how much Met you take. To be a problem you would have to drink for a Looooooong time as in alcoholic behavior where so the liver never has a chance to go back to its other functions.
Avatar m tn m about to ask is not something I partake in on any kind of regular basis, we just think we are back in college and proceed to act and drink like fools. This trip is usually 5 days and consists of getting up at noon going to the pool and starting with the beer before we eat (extremely stupid I now realize) and basically drink beer all day and most of the night and pretty much only eating dinner.
Avatar f tn My doctors take a pee sample every visit and drug test every time they even ha e signs up that if you fail one it will be reported and they will call dss when baby is born (i don't do anything but that's my Dr's office)
Avatar f tn cool, if not dump that and test the next batch. Eventually, your milk will be free of alcohol and you can go back to nursing. Regardless, be prepared to toss out All that liquid gold...it certainly hurts to throw down the drain oz and oz of milk, but a night off sometimes is worth it.
Avatar f tn Yes I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks I was getting drunk everyday and smoking weed taking pills and doing coke im 18 and have been threw alot and seen alot I lost my way in life for a while now im 33 weeks and my son is doing amazing
Avatar f tn Alcohol would beat the crap out of me and I could not recover for days. I know make my own Kombucha which has little alcohol, so I drink alot of that.
Avatar f tn Absolutely! It can interfere with ovulation and menstruation in a woman and it affects sperm count and motility in a man.
