1491677 tn?1288466020 I have tried bottled water, letting water sit in the frig, yet the only water she will drink is the water I mix in her gravy train food. I am glad I can get her to drink this much water but I know she needs to be drinking more. It hasn't affected her health so far and I would like to take care of this problem before it does. What should I do??
Avatar n tn you really don't need to overdo it that way - you drink plenty of other things during the day and they should be counted in with the amount of water. Unless you are really dehydrated it's simply NOT necessary and you WILL just pee it all out anyway, it doesn't STAY in you". Well he was right about that...900 trips to the ladies a day was enough! BOY that took the stress off me big time. Now I"m down to going to the ladies room only 250 times a day I think! Much better!
Avatar f tn Cissy weighs around 95 pounds, so I am disolving four tums in water and administering by a syringe. I know this is short lived, but she finally accepted some shredded chicken that I had cooked for her. Her mom and dad are fighting so hard for her and I know we will have to make that decision very soon, but honestly she is not ready yet. I read your journals and I cried for Chica, you and your husband. Jerry (my husband) and I feel your pain as we are living it.

Avatar n tn In fact, I went from drinking 6 or 8 pints of water each day to 2 or 3. Perhaps to much water in the calfs creates the tightness that causes the aches. All I'm saying is that perhaps we drink to much water for our lifestyles. Of course if you live in a hot/dry climate and/or you exercise a lot, then extra water is needed. But for everyone else, I really don't think you need to walking around all day sucking on those water bottles.
Avatar f tn It will get better in time. It helps in cramps, spastic muscles or where there is pain, massage it in. It feels slightly oily. Some people rinse it off, but I leave mine on. I use Ancient Minerals as its less sticky. Mg Cl is ocean water from Ancient ocean beds where they have removed the salt and impurities. Hope this will help. Keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Hi. Lots of questions is a good thing ... and never a problem. And thank you for your kind words. Sodium is just on the upper range of normal, but close enough to the abnormal range to be causing "issues", so reducing it in diet and water is a good idea. Potassium and chloride are within normal limits.

You should control this in the diet as much as possible. PCV stands for packed cell volume, and refers to the number of red blood cells available. In Zola's case, this is a low reading, which means she is anaemic. Anaemia is not uncommon in kd dogs, but it can be a dangerous and harmful condition that needs support by the vet involved.

But I'm on your side here, I'm more cautious about large amounts of iodine than many here seem to be, but many natural healers have been big iodine supporters and I have no idea who's right, I'm just cautious. Avatar n tn Around the time that my skin condition appeared last spring, I began to drink bottled distilled water you get from supermarkets. I have almost exclusively been drinking distilled water over the past year, and I recently stopped because I consider it to be a possibly cause. Also, I went on a short vacation for two weeks without drinking any distilled water and the skin condition cleared up significantly. I have only very recently stopped drinking it (last time was three days ago).
Avatar n tn Try 2 or 3 teaspons in glass of water then repeat several hours later. Drink plenty of water in between. After you feel really cleaned out give your system a rest and drink only clear soup broth and green teas the next day. Gradually ad stomach friendy food like low fat yogurt. Keep an eye on what upsets you or look up on line about food combining and check PH foods vs acidic foods. Do some walking or light excercising and do not eat atleast 4-5 hours before bed.

In February of 06 I began experiencing symptoms which have now been diagnosed as Pyridoxine (b6) Toxicity Induced Neuropathy. Avatar f tn Five months after the implant I elected to have the swine flu vaccination which resulted in a numb feeling and tingling in the extremities along with diarrhea and dizziness that subsided after a few days. Since then the tingling has combined with the aching in the lower extremities and progressed upward to include the thighs. Exercise makes all of the symptoms worse, as I experience severe aching and muscle twitching after any kind of physical activity.
Avatar f tn Only relief is ice. It started 10 years ago (was living in mountains of Colorado--sunny, but little humidity) in the summer. It comes back every year around July/August and lasts thru December, disappearing just as suddenly as it returned. Does your itch do this as well? I am awake every single night with this, although it also occurs in the daytime now. It started on my left upper arm, but seems to expand each year.
