1491677 tn?1288462420 I have tried bottled water, letting water sit in the frig, yet the only water she will drink is the water I mix in her gravy train food. I am glad I can get her to drink this much water but I know she needs to be drinking more. It hasn't affected her health so far and I would like to take care of this problem before it does. What should I do??
Avatar n tn It could be the water had too much sodium chloride in it. If you are drinking city water, bottled water, they taint it with what they feel will make it safer to drink. Sodium Chloride is rat poison, but in minor amounts they feel it doesn't harm you. On 20/20 they followed bottled water back to its origin and found various places it came from, one being a rusty pipe in a shack.
Avatar n tn Iodized salt is thus table salt mixed with a minute amount of potassium iodide, Dehydration results from the loss of water and important electrolytes from the body, including potassium, sodium, chloride, and many other minerals that are often overlooked. I am unsure y u r trying to avoid potassium as it is one of the items lacking when u dehydrate...many with chiari may have low levels of magnesium and potassium.
Avatar m tn Have you had your Potassium levels checked? When we perspire, we deplete our Potassium. I find that taking either Potassium chloride (salt substitute) or Potassium Iodide helps me with "hot flashes" better than hormones or anything else. I just take a little with ice cold water and that seems to cool me off immediately. - Why you sweat is a mystery that only you and your doctor can solve. - But try the potassium, it just might be that it's too low.
Avatar n tn what is the difference between Potassium Chloride, Potassium Nitrate and Potassium Citrate?
Avatar f tn Dissolve 1 cup Flakes into 1 cup boiled or bottled water, put into a sprayer. 8 sprays is equivalent to 100 mg Mg Chloride. There is no over dose as your body will only absorb what it needs. Some maybe sensitive to Mg Cl and so just spray non sensitive body areas first to see how it is for you. (like your legs) You could dilute it or put lotion on top if it itches or any irritation. Use it whenever you need it. It could be used all over the body. It will get better in time.

5891248 tn?1406410864 I am just wondering, did you moms use regular bottled water or baby bottled water, and what is the difference ?
29837 tn?1414534648 You can always put bottled water, if you are in areas where the tap water is contaminated, as it will filter the toxins from the bottled water as well. We were tracking in Mali this year, and they were very handy. I would advise everyone to get a water filter installed in their homes, as there is chlorine, fluoride and other toxins and bacteria in the drinking water. Again, Aquasana makes an affordable one. I ordered mine from the States, as they didn't have a distributor in Denmark, yet.
1618806 tn?1304734477 Dash and Morton Salt Substitute (for example) which is loaded with Potassium Chloride. If you take the time to read the ingredients on ANY Ms. Dash flavors, you'll find nothing but herbs and spices, there's absolutely NO potassium chloride in it. Avatar m tn Give it some time for your body to absorb it. Drink lots and lots of water (preferably filtered or bottled water, with or without added electrolytes). If not, then try calcium, and then sodium. Again you might be taking these, but your body is not absorbing these, and also not in the quantities your body needs to be in balance. In addition, to sweating profusely, this also helps with chills and for foot cramps.
Avatar n tn Potassium and Calcium and important electrolytes in muscles. Potassium is one of those electrolytes you dont really want to be messed up in your body. High potassium levels can cause heart dysrrhythmias, since your heart is a big muscle, Other signs of hyperkalemia(increased potassium) are nausea vomitting, restlessness, irritability, I am looking in my book right now to make sure i can give you the most accurate information. Chloride there is not much on.
