As I mentioned above, she was given new medicined once she experienced high blood sugar level few weeks back. She was given Metformin (850 mg) and Pioglitazone (30Mg per day). Once she started experiencing low blood sugar level, the doctor stopped giving Pioglitazone and asked to continue Metformin with few other medicines and the my mother was told that she experiencing such low levels of sugar due to Pioglitazone.
Nowadays doctors are stopping to use metformin kindly read and do some r&d. Initially even i was on Metformin for PCOD and my doctor suggested to stop it.

I am obese (300lbs), diabetic (type 2) and require medication to control hypetension. I take the following medications – Metformin, Pioglitazone, Victoza (liraglutide), Amlodipine, Ramipril, Bendroflumethiazide, Asprin and Statin.

It is a long video , but what I did not know before watching it is that
High Fructose Corn Syrup metabolically is as bad as alcohol for the liver.
The majority of processed foods we find in the supermarket have High Fructose
Corn Syrup which can majorly effect obesity and fatty liver.
Metformin has demonstrated efficacy for type II DM, and there are other oral meds that can be combined with it if metformin by itself isn’t enough. Pioglitazone and Glipizide are routinely prescribed in conjunction with metformin for DM II management.
I am anxious to concevie again but have been told by my doctor that I will need a combination of clomid and metformin. Has anyone done both and been effective while breastfeeding ?

I was seing an OB and they started me on metformin for a few months than we moved to clomid and metformin. After that wasnt working and trying for a 5 months they couldnt do anything else for me so I started to see an RE and he gave me my options we choice IVF and we are not 3 months pregnant! :) It is very possible you just need the right combination of drugs that work for you. As long as you dont give up and you try different things you will become pregnant!
Often, beebop, oral diabetes medications are prescribed in combination; different medicines have different chemical action, and approach the control of diabetes from "different angles". However, what you seem to be saying is that you had two different doctors, each prescribed one medication and now you are taking both?
If I'm understanding you correctly, that is not a good idea.
If you are on a combination of medications, it could be that the combination was responsible for the drop, OR that your lack of eating caused the sugar level to dip.
It will be important to report all of you sugar levels to your doctor, but I would not recommend stopping or changing medications.
