The last 2 months, my doctor put me on phentermine. I went in today for my rx renewal and I have not lost 1 pound. She feels the constipation is why, but I do not. My stomach has been in better shape the last 4 months than it was this time last year. I work 2 jobs and am on my feet constantly, I eat healthy (low fat diet, no carbs, fruits, veggies and meats only) as well as work out 2-4 times a week, and play volleyball 2 hrs 3x a week.
A doctor prescribed me a combo of Redotex in the morning and 30mg Phentermine HCl at lunch (for weight loss). Is it dangerous?
These are the active ingredients of Redotex:
o Tri iodothyronine (Triyodotironina) 75 mcg. A hormone used to increase the metabolic rate of tissues.
o Norpseudoephedrine (Clorhidrato de D Norseudoefedrina) 50 mg. An amphetamine like drug.
o Atropine sulfate (Sulfato de Atropina) 0.36 mg. Used as a respiratory and circulatory stimulant.
o Aloin (Aloina) 16.2 mg.
Wait it out. Phentermine is nothing but caffeine, and the pharmacist and doctor should have told you to reduce your caffein intake. If they didnt, then it was in your package insert when you get the medicine filled.
Right now all you can do is wait it out. Rest, drink lots of water and NO MORE ENERGY DRINKS. Never, ever do that again. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine.
I went online to find out that, in fact, urticaria can be a serious side-effect of Phentermine. I went to my weight loss doctor, and he told me that my urticaria was stress-related. Even though it is a well-documented side-effect of Phentermine, my GP also stated that these hives were idiopathic and possibly stress-related, two diagnoses I can live without.

I starting using the phentermine after i stopped using cocaine after 15 years and gained a lot of weight. dr. 1st prescribed to loose weight because he did not know I was a recovering addict, and wala plecibo! I feel all i did was trade the illegal drug for a legal one, although i have purchased phentermine off the internet for years.
How much phentermine is too much? I took 8 (37.5) today all spaced out about 2 per 6 hours. I can't sleep and I am really thirsty but that seems to be about it. I just don't want to overdose.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
There are no listed interactions with Phentermine and Synthroid however i would check with a pharmacist if you do not want to talk to your doctor.
I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave). If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites! They are contained on my torso, sides and back - these presented after about 3 days on Phentermine, and I cannot belive that I would end up with 30+ mosquito bites in one day - they all appeared overnight. Can this be a reaction to the Phentermine?

I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. I have been taking Phentermine 37.5 and synthroid .088 for about 4 months now. I just found out a few days ago I am pregnant. I figured I should stop taking the Phentermine but I didn't know if it would have any effects on the baby already. Also I did not know if I can continue to take the synthroid?
Since then, I have started to see a Weight Management doctor for my weight issues related to the PCOS. The wight doctor put me on Phentermine. I am supposed to start these tomorrow but am a little concerned if Phentermine and a Beta Blocker can be taken safely together under my certain circumstances and if I should have any concerns regarding my already strained heart, while on something like Phentermine?

I was given phentermine 15 mg by a "doctor" at a weight loss clinic. I'm a bit skeptical because of all the negative reviews I have read. I am currently 136 at 5' 3'' and want to get to my pre pregnancy weight of 120. I have tried other diets and just cant seem to get the extra weight off. My son is now 1 and i'm starting to feel a bit depressed about the extra pounds. Is 15 mg enough for me to lose the weight?
No, no... I do not think you sound harsh at all. I did seek help for the bulimia a couple of times in the past. Both times it was an attempt to lead me down some path to an underlying emotional cause. Really, it didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. I was spending a ton of money to go to therapy sessions once a week that were getting me nowhere.
At that point I tried to tell the therapist that I honestly felt it had more to do with my hormones.
No personal experience of phentermine but a quick google tells me it's an appetite supressant?
You still need to eat, otherwise you won't lose weight.

My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
blood sugar dropping rapidly when after exercise. My doctor said it could be the phentermine but that the metformin xr could also be reacting to the phentermine. I stoped the metformin, felt better then my sugar started going up. I started the metformin at half the dosage since i am 13lbs lighter on friday night, today i am in severe abdominal pain, belching, horrible gas, nauseous, and vomiting which smells very acidic. Could this be too much ketones, or the medicine?
