The last 2 months, my doctor put me on phentermine. I went in today for my rx renewal and I have not lost 1 pound. She feels the constipation is why, but I do not. My stomach has been in better shape the last 4 months than it was this time last year. I work 2 jobs and am on my feet constantly, I eat healthy (low fat diet, no carbs, fruits, veggies and meats only) as well as work out 2-4 times a week, and play volleyball 2 hrs 3x a week.
A doctor prescribed me a combo of Redotex in the morning and 30mg Phentermine HCl at lunch (for weight loss). Is it dangerous?
These are the active ingredients of Redotex:
o Tri iodothyronine (Triyodotironina) 75 mcg. A hormone used to increase the metabolic rate of tissues.
o Norpseudoephedrine (Clorhidrato de D Norseudoefedrina) 50 mg. An amphetamine like drug.
o Atropine sulfate (Sulfato de Atropina) 0.36 mg. Used as a respiratory and circulatory stimulant.
o Aloin (Aloina) 16.2 mg.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.

I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.
Since then, I have started to see a Weight Management doctor for my weight issues related to the PCOS. The wight doctor put me on Phentermine. I am supposed to start these tomorrow but am a little concerned if Phentermine and a Beta Blocker can be taken safely together under my certain circumstances and if I should have any concerns regarding my already strained heart, while on something like Phentermine?

One of my kids has taken phentermine and it did help a little. However she has just this week learned she has hypothyroidism and that may be another reason her metabolism is sluggish. She is now on thyroid medicine and hoping it may be somewhat helpful in the big picture.

Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. blood sugar dropping rapidly when after exercise.
I am sorry, but please do not take any medications without asking your doctor first. Cymbalta increases the side effects of phentermine causes more anxiety, stress, restlessness, and a serious condition called serotonin syndrome. Please discuss with your doctor before starting any medication with Cymbalta. Take care!

Wait it out. Phentermine is nothing but caffeine, and the pharmacist and doctor should have told you to reduce your caffein intake. If they didnt, then it was in your package insert when you get the medicine filled.
Right now all you can do is wait it out. Rest, drink lots of water and NO MORE ENERGY DRINKS. Never, ever do that again. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine.
I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
And I asked her well dont I need to be weaned off of this. And she told me no. But that might have been because I was only on it for 2 months. If I were you I would certainly talk to your doctor about that. At least run it by him that you want to get off of it. It is an addictive drug so I am sure there can be certain twitches about it for every one. On Thursday he is putting me back on it. I have found it to be such a great great help! And a motivator!

Caution is advised combining Wellbutrin and Phentermine as this combo may increase your risk of seizures. If weight gain is a side effect of your psych meds, talk to your prescribing doctor about your concerns.
I have been going to doctor after doctor about my weight and thyroid disorders, but haven't found any results yet. Anyway, that is a long story. Recently I went to see an endo and he did the usual tests (never do they do any complete testing), and then he told me that he could "help me lose this weight" by prescribing Phentermine.
I told him I have severe PTSD, and even benydril (sp?) will give me an anxiety attack and I can't take anything that will make me feel hyper.
I went online to find out that, in fact, urticaria can be a serious side-effect of Phentermine. I went to my weight loss doctor, and he told me that my urticaria was stress-related. Even though it is a well-documented side-effect of Phentermine, my GP also stated that these hives were idiopathic and possibly stress-related, two diagnoses I can live without.
