I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Diet pills, injections, "quick fixes"...none of these really work, and some are downright dangerous.
You have to really, really work at weight loss. It takes dedication, education about proper nutrition, support, exercise, and a plan that you can live with for life.
Or, just take some pills that may work for a few weeks or months, and then regain it all plus some.
You choose.
Since 2009 I have been taking 37.5 Phentermine pills consistently with minor breaks and recently my chest has been giving me trouble. Since last Sunday, my heart has been pounding with an elevated pulse so I decided to go to Primary physician. She performed and EKG which my results were normal but she wanted me to see a Cardiologist to be sure...
I have been taking diet pills for at least five years and recently (4 months ago) got on phentermine and redotex from mexico. I just found out today November 10 that I am four months pregnant! I've had no signs of pregnancy, havent had a period for at least eight years, no bump, no sickness, absolutely nothing, but did an ultrasound and found out. What my concern is, is if the baby will be healthy or if the pregnancy should be terminated?
i was on the Phentermine pills, lost 15lbs on it, but it wasn't something i took consistantly though, like i skipped a day or so in a week. lost the rest on my own since i was only given a one month perscription and decided to stop since my doc said it's something you can become addicted to.
Back in June this year (2010), I started taking Phentermine for weight loss. About a week into the treatment I had an intensely itchy hive wheal on my right hand and also itchy skin on the backs of my legs just under my buttocks. I thought it could have been a dust allergy because I know I'm allergic to dust, among many other things. I went off the Phentermine, and the wheal never went away, but it didn't bother me too much either.
Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Also keep in mind that phentermine is not generally recommended in the long term. It may make more sense to just stick with one of the weight loss medications to see if there are any beneficial effects. It's also a good time to think carefully about how the weight loss occurred while on the new medication.
I just started Phentermine 37.5mg last week. I haven't had a weigh in yet but I have noticed that I have cut way back on my food intake. I have talked with friends that have taken it in the past and they said that they got the best results when they combined it with a good, healthy diet and started exercising. That could be the jump start you need if you haven't started working out yet!
33f, DM 2, Been taking Metformin XR 500mg 2 pills x2 a day. Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
A doctor prescribed me a combo of Redotex in the morning and 30mg Phentermine HCl at lunch (for weight loss). Is it dangerous?
These are the active ingredients of Redotex:
o Tri iodothyronine (Triyodotironina) 75 mcg. A hormone used to increase the metabolic rate of tissues.
o Norpseudoephedrine (Clorhidrato de D Norseudoefedrina) 50 mg. An amphetamine like drug.
o Atropine sulfate (Sulfato de Atropina) 0.36 mg. Used as a respiratory and circulatory stimulant.
o Aloin (Aloina) 16.2 mg.
Has anyone experienced weight gain in the second week of phentermine and stopped losing after that?
I started taking the phen pill 37.5mg and a B12shot two weeks ago, my doctor only gave me a 30day supply since he said its more for obese people than overweight people. Im 28yrs old, 5'3" and started the pill at 150lbs, the first week I went down to 145.1 by the second week I went back up to 146.3 does anyone know why im gaining?
Weight gain/inability to lose is a common hypothyroid symptom. It's very possible that once you get your thyroid levels in control, you won't need the phentermine. Actually, a healthy diet and adequate exercise should take its place, anyway, since most people who take weight loss drugs, regain the weight as soon as they get off the drugs.
Levothyroxine should be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, with a full cup of water.
Am I on the right track with this with wanting to request trying Phentermine in combination with mt Metformin? Is there something else that I need to be considering?
Then a week or so later I get some phentermine diet pills and do the same, use/abuse a few days then trash. This has been going on since late January. Before that I battled with pain med abuse for well over a year. I've not had pain meds since Jan of this year. I like the speedy feeling of the vyvanse and phentermine, but not the lack of sleep, dry mouth and other side effects. I want to get out of this cycle!
My daughter was 12 years old at the time a Dr. put her on 37.
Which turned out to be the best for good health along the way. Beside now I must stick to this type of diet because I have since become diabetic. In my opinion I believe your doctor is pushing pills on you. You have to lose slow to keep it off and make a diet worth doing it right for the rest of your life. Look up diabetic diet and follow it..you will lose. By the way I'm on synthroid, have been for years. And I gained weight. It didn't help me lose at all. But that is me.
