Common Questions and Answers about Phentermine diet plan

phentermine

Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar n tn I reside in the Atlanta GA area, and I have read a lot of forums pertaining to b12 injections, and phentermine for weight lost. From my understanding they're not something you can get your regular doctor to prescribe. In the past year I've had a baby gain 75pds, and I have not been able to lose it since. I am looking for a Dr. in the Atlanta area that I can get a prescription from. Please help?
Avatar n tn Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Also keep in mind that phentermine is not generally recommended in the long term. It may make more sense to just stick with one of the weight loss medications to see if there are any beneficial effects. It's also a good time to think carefully about how the weight loss occurred while on the new medication.
Avatar f tn Only want to lose like 25 lbs. Started taking phentermine a week ago. Docter tested my thyoid level it was low so now I'm taking levothyroxine. First couple days were fine but when I added the thyroid medicine I started getting headaches and just not feeling right. Should I continue all three medicines? I really want to lose the weight! What should I do?
Avatar f tn In addition I used to work for a Wellness doctor and we did the HCG diet plan there and she would give patients the phentermine to help kick off the diet and help with the hunger. It works. Good luck and keep us posted!
Avatar f tn I've wanted to try some sort of diet pill that will either speed up my metabolism or reduce my appetite to help me lose weight along with my excercise (3-4 times a week). However, I'm hesitant to putting extra chemicals and whatnot in my body. Also, they tend to be expensive so I want to get something that actually works. Any suggestions??
Avatar m tn Then the second thing you should start is by preparing a proper balanced diet chart. Plan for around 2000 calories per day and try to lose around 500 calories every day. Avoid fast foods, junk food, fatty foods, red meat, deep fried foods, chocolates, ice creams, sweets and deserts completely. It is always good to have salads, fruits, whole grain cereals and lean meat. Take care!
Business woman2 Most weight loss products don't work and none of them are meant for long term use, so even if you lose weight on them, chances are you will gain it back. First rule out any health issues that might cause weight gain/prevent loss, such as hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, PCOS, etc, then work on cutting calories and getting plenty of exercise.
Avatar f tn 55 0.01L. I think its something else the diet pill is phentermine, I have a problem gaining weight because of not having a thyroid. I dont even eat that much and still gain weight. I hope you can give me some answers.
429963 tn?1205437753 I was taking phentermine for weight loss, ordered over the internet, up until a year ago. It was after I stopped taking the drug that the onset of my bipolar symptoms became observable. Knowing that SSRI's can have this effect, I was wondering if the phentermine could have played a role in the onset of my disorder.
Avatar f tn I feel that with the proper diet and exercise you can lose the weight on your own. I took Phentermine to lose the first 30 lbs, but after changes in my lifestyle I lost the last 20 lbs with no help at all. To answer your question about the dose, it is fine for your weight. I hope this is helpful to you. Tracking your meals and exercise is a great way to monitor your weight. Always remember, you have to burn more calories than what you are taking in.
Avatar f tn I'd say your weight loss is due more to your diet/exercise change than to the B12/phentermine....... as I said before, I take weekly B12 shots and they do nothing for weight loss. The phentermine may help control your cravings/food intake, but how long can you take that, and what will happen when you stop it?
Avatar f tn took phentermine 37.5 and then drank a energy drink. i am so sick now. what do i do to feel better?
332156 tn?1266843139 Anyone try Phentermine? I just got it prescribed to me and just wondering how effective it is. Thanks!
877371 tn?1240237527 Personally, I would be concerned with phentermine alone, let alone in combination with the other medications. Studies show that successful weight loss usually involves a lifestyle change that involves better and more nutritional food choices. Any weight that may be lost while taking phentermine or other "diet pills" has not been approved as a safe way to lose weight and research shows that weight is normally regained and usually in excess from where a person began.
568877 tn?1216822048 I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. So I was going to get back on my meds. that I used to take which was Welbrutain XL and Xanxa .
Avatar f tn Since 2009 I have been taking 37.5 Phentermine pills consistently with minor breaks and recently my chest has been giving me trouble. Since last Sunday, my heart has been pounding with an elevated pulse so I decided to go to Primary physician. She performed and EKG which my results were normal but she wanted me to see a Cardiologist to be sure...
Avatar f tn I'm on 30mg phentermine. ive been taking it for 3 weeks now. lost 4lbs, ate one good meal, and gained it back all in one day. I was down to salads and water, with no results what so ever. Avatar f tn t seem to loose my baby weight gain after having my son 15 months ago.... I want to start taking diet pill Phentermine (30 mg) 1x a day but I'm also going to be taking synthroid 100 mg 1x day is that safe?
Avatar f tn I am counting calories but am always hungry which is preventing me from sticking with a diet. As a result, am seriously considering taking the prescription pill (phentermine) to help supress my appetite. My question is, is it save to take this pill while breastfeeding?
Avatar f tn Taking phentermine together with other diet medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or dexfenfluramine (Redux) can cause a rare fatal lung disorder called pulmonary hypertension. Do not take phentermine with any other diet medications without your doctor's advice. Phentermine can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol.
Avatar f tn Because of hormone disfunction and thyroid disfunction I gained a lot of weight. Almost 80 lbs. I have never had to diet or been overweight, and I am having a lot of health problems. I gained this weight rapidly, and now I am having serious health problems, one of which is my discs in my back have crushed (4 of them) and I have to have surgery next week. I am going to go on the Nutrisystem diet (for diabetics, as I became a diabetic, too) and would like any input on this diet.
