I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. This includes phentermine (Adipex, Fastin, etc) and/or fenfluramine (Pondimin)." What does it matter if I have taken this? I haven't taken fen-phen, but I have and do occasionally take phentermine?

I was prescribed Duromine (slow-release resin of phentermine) 30mg (so not the fast acting 37.5mg Adipex-P a lot are familiar with). I have been taking phentermine 37.5 for months now and I have gained 6 pounds I am constantly bloated I just started 25 milligrams of topomax 2 times a day and still no weight loss I have all but stopped drinking sodas drink only water.
