198504 tn?1195158059 I AM STARTING ON THE PHENTERMINE PILLS AND I WAS JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS DRANK ENERGY DRINKS, (RED BULL, MONSTER, ETC...) WHILE USING PHENTERMINE AND IF SO DID THIS INCREASE THE EFFECTS IN A STRANGE WAY? I JUST DO NOT WANT TO CHANCE IT IF THAT IS THE CASE. ANY RESPONSES WILL BE APPRICIATED.
Avatar f tn took phentermine 37.5 and then drank a energy drink. i am so sick now. what do i do to feel better?
Avatar f tn Phentermine did help for me I took it for 2 weeks and lost 11lbs. It gave me more energy and curved my appetite. I stopped taking it to see if I could continue on my own and now I lost 30lbs.
1397822 tn?1294279534 Your observation about noticing the change when you stopped the medication could be due to the direct effect (loss of therapeutic effect) but it could also be due to withdrawal effects (all of the medications like phentermine probably cause some degree of brain tolerance - meaning your brain adapts to the medication and when you abruptly stop it you are not going back to the same state you were in before you began treatment, but a state with a lower mood and energy level - it may take a few da
Avatar m tn I started Phentermine and B-12 in Feb 2012 I lost 4lbs the first two weeks. 6.5 lbs the 2nd two weeks and none the 3rd two weeks. It then took me 3 weeks to lose 3 more lbs. I am scared to weigh myself tomorrow in fear that I haven't lost my goal is 165. I am interested in hearing how others journey has went and if phentermine will continue to work for me for at least 6 mos.
737114 tn?1232035410 I have been taking phentermine on and off for almost 15 years, I have never needed it for weight loss only the amazing energy it gave me, I know it is a little late to decide they probably are doing my health no good at all but hey, better late than never. I have tried hundreds of times to stop taking them but the chronic fatigue I get keeps me going back.
Avatar f tn I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all. I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.
Avatar f tn I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
995335 tn?1251479506 I heard that the B12 shots boost your energy level considerably therefore helping with losing weight. Do you think that someone with an actual B12 deficiency wouldn't benefit from them as much as a person with normal B12 levels? I know that when I drink those B12 energy 'shots' (Five Hour Energy drink) that it gets me up and moving quick style and it suppresses my hunger.
Avatar f tn Joined a gym, took vitamins for energy and well being. Eat healthy . Little by little had the will to leave phentermine for once and for all. I listened to the signs around me and made the change before it was too late. Legal or not legal anything substance we depend on will destroy us. If ur someone like me that is going thru this. ..know that "it can get better " you have to make the choice. Pray. Hope is there , your not alone.
Avatar n tn Is it OK to use phentermine and levothyroxine together? If not what diet medications are safe to use with levothyroxine? I suffer with such low energy, even though my levels are good.
1090984 tn?1463769850 I take Phentermine and I've never cut them in half, and have never had anything but results. I would just take your doctor's advice and take them as normal.
1460292 tn?1285764089 I have been on Phentermine twice and lost about 40 lbs each time. Of course I yoyo back up and now I have about 15 to 20 lbs I would like to drop. But I don't think I can get another RX for it. Every time I go, the Dr. is hesitant about giving it to me. I really love it though because it makes me not having any will power against food not a factor. And I love the energy it gives me. Does anyone have any suggestions for some alternatives, for the energy or appetite suppressant?
Avatar f tn sorry i dont know of these, B12 are shots but as i am needle phobic these are something i wont be using, i dont do needles, lol, Phentermine, is an appetite suppressant of the amphetamine and phenethylamine class. It is approved as an appetite suppressant to help reduce weight in obese patients when used short-term and combined with exercise, diet, and behavioral modification.
Avatar f tn Hello! Thanks for clicking on my inquiry... here is all the info and my related questions.... 56 year old caucasian female, post-menopausal, healthy diet, inability to exercise more than mildly (so just regular activity, frequent walking, everyday tasks etc no problem, full range of motion for non-exertive stuff), obese but not morbidly, taking losartan potassium daily for mild hypertension (a decrease from quite high blood pressure 2 years ago), no other medications, stable in all respects...
Avatar f tn I think your current strategy is healthier and ultimately more effective in the long run - you might just need to tweak what you are eating a bit in order to start seeing things moving in the direction you like and to help with energy. And by the way, atenolol does cause fatigue in some individuals - another reason to chat with your doctor. Take care!
Avatar f tn I am getting annoyed, because I have no energy, and the phentermine only gave me energy for about a week or two, until I was put on that terrible synthroid for 6 months. I am not sure what to do at this point.
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar m tn My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
551496 tn?1215614366 I have some spotting and cramps. I am sure it will be a rough one! I did stop the phentermine over the weekend and started back yesterday(Monday). Maybe thats what triggered it....who knows. Being a woman shouldnt be this much stress and hard work!
Avatar n tn Before I started my diet pill (Fastin) I was always so tired & no energy to do anything.. I have severe sleep apnea so dr says thats why. After I started Fastin, I was amazed at how good I felt. Constantly on the go and I wanted to exercise. Felt great all day & now I am right back to feeling the same way as far as being tired and no energy. I don't feel like even doing my walking/running everyday.
494656 tn?1209640771 I have used adipex(phentermine) and have had the B12 shots before and it was awesome. That was before I had kids and moved to NC and then to SC where I currently reside. I have had two kids and Im approximately 45 lbs overweight. My daughter is 7 months old and I know they say to give it the same amount of time it took to put it on. Well Im only 2 months shy of that date and I still have 45 lbs to lose.
Avatar f tn There is street value and addiction to phentermine. Actually, clinical studies have shown that phentermine causes more heart conditions than amphetamine, but Big Pharm and the FDA are in bed together, nobody wants to leave all those billions of dollars left to nutritionists and work out trainers.
Avatar f tn on the addictions forum someone brought up the topic provigil for energy, i have been clean for a while now but i have hep so my energy level is very low, and i also have under active thyroid so my question is this, when i researced this new drug i found """PROVIGIL is a federally controlled substance (C-IV) because it has the potential to be abused or lead to dependence. Please use PROVIGIL only as directed and keep in a safe place to prevent misuse and abuse.
Avatar n tn m wondering is why you feel the need to see a diet doctor to get your arthritis under control? You only have energy when you take the phentermine because your body is used to the dosage that you ingest. When the phentermine is wering off, your body feels that it needs more of it, and you feel sluggish, and out of energy. it's common for your body to become tolerant to medications. You must talk with your doctor about this also, as it's very important.
1401296 tn?1280799533 I went to my first visit at a doctor in Victoria, Texas last Friday. They gave me phentermine 30mg with 5htp combined and Lipo B injectibles to do at home. I 'm trying to figure out if anyone else has tried this method of dieting and is it safe? I'm at the highest weight I've ever been at (257) and very desperate, but also cautious. Please anyone with information out there let me know.
