I have been taking vicodin ES 750mg 90 tablets a month for the past 2 years due to my bad knees. I was recently switched over to the percocet 5/325 my body was becoming tollerant to the vicodin to the point where they were not relieving the pain anymore. I had the same reaction with the percocet where I had to take 2-3 at once.
What drug are you talking about? I only know of Percocet being 5/325 & Lortab being 5/500. Then there's Norco that's 10/325, Lorcet 10/650 Lorcet Plus 7.5/750, Vicodin 5/550, Vicodin ES 7.5/750 & Vicodin HP 10/660. Unless I'm outta the loop.

Talking to people here is really helpful. I am on day 33 off of vicodin and percocet. I have gone off before and have always relasped. This time I am getting help because
I have realized we may be able to get off but we cannot stay off without help. Seek help and community here but also try to find some meetings, a counselor...something. I actually discovered that my healcare provider had a whole chemical dependency recovery program that i am not attending and it is really helping.
Vicodin/Lortab/Hydrocodone-2.5 mg, 5mg 7.5 mg,(ES) 10 mg, they come with 500-750 mg of Acetem.
Norco(=vicoden/hydrocodone too) 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, they usually come with 250 mg acetem.(Tylenol)
Percocet/Percodan (Oxycodone) 5mg, 10mg anywhere from 250-750 mg (tylenol)
Oxycontin usually comes in 10, 20,60,80 mg and typically doesn't have any tylenol.
Morphine comes is pill form as well as intravenous for severe pain.

fui adicta a heroina,luego ingrese en tratamiento de metadona honestamente me cansé de ir diario y pase a suboxone...luego por condiciones de la espalda me recetan percocet y me retiran la suboxone.. yo seguía usando suboxone y la percocet sólo cuando era necesario.
Trate más de 5 veces de dejar la suboxone y d espues de los 5a 7 días sin usar era para mi lo peor ,contrario a otros derrivados,sintéticos y opiáceos que los primeros tres días es lo peor...
This conversation reminds me of what happened when I took just one Vicodin ES from a prescription for severe pain. Let me preface this by saying I'm a cross-addicted alcoholic to begin with. I've been an addict since age 13, more or less.
2 years ago when I blew out my back I hadn't had a drink or drug of any kind for 25 years and 8 months. A thriving member of AA. The pain was really intense, a 9cm hernia sticking in my sciatic nerve. My Doctor gave me 90 VicodinES 7.5s.
I was first introduced to Vicodin ES (10mg/325 APAP) in December of 2008. I have been taking between 4-8 10mg Vicodins everyday for about 4-5 months now. I finally realized I have an addiction and I am wasting to much money on them. I really enjoy taking them for recreational purposes but I think its about time I stop. Compared to others, and the readers of this, is my addiction severe? I am thinking about tapering down to about 2 a day and then after about a week stopping cold turkey.
s forgot to bring my file with him. Also, once he argued with me that he would have never given me Vicodin ES 2x a day. He finally got his trusted computer and was proven wrong! I do not appreciate the treatment he gives me!
Since Sept I was on one Vicodin ES, then for the past 2 months I got him reluctantly to give me 2 a day. Which by itself still only gives me 4 hrs a day of having no pain. He cancelled my last appt on the first due to bad weather.

I have left arm pain, weakness, numbness for approx 1 month.
Woke up at night with severe left arm pain as well as pectoral & tricep muscle spasms (thought I was having cardiac symptoms). Went to FP (who is a DO) diagnosed with cervicalgia. X-ray showed c3-c4 disease (R>L). Put on prednisone & Vicoden ES.

Ill keep it short - not only are they addicting, they are probably more addicting than vicodin and stronger. Percocet is one step ABOVE Vicodin on the painkiller strength scale. Ever hear people talk about oxy? Percocet is Oxycodone. If you had a problem with vicodin, percocet will just be a bigger problem. Id stay away. Good luck and congrats on all that clean time..
