I am 43 years old and high school teacher, about 14 years, during a summer job I was spraying a white pigmented sanding lacquer and a white finish coat with lacquer retarder. I wore a respirator the enter time, but had not protective clothing. In fact, I wore a thin short sleeve cotton shirt. I sprayed in a small enclosed building. I would spry for about five minutes, go outside and waited about fifteen minutes and repeated the process most of the day.
I had a vitrectomy for floaters recently and found that I have lacquer cracks through macula in my eye due to myopic degeneration during my 1 month check-up with no CNV, no bleeding etc. Surgeon told me that I am at risk of CNV and asked me to watch for any signs . I still have wavy vision from my surgery and slowly recovering.
1) Is this wavy vision possibly due to lacquer cracks or from the surgery and would possibly go away?
Soon after removing the nail tips, I started noticing my nails on my thumbs started to change colors. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed Penlac to treat the nail fungus. After using Penlac for a while I noticed that it was not working for me. After that, I went back to the dermatologist and they did a culture and they said it was a fungus.
Sounds like she had a lacquer crack with a resulting CNV and then Avastin injections to stop the bleeding. Depending on several factors, the damage to the retina may or may not be permanent. However I would suggest you get a second opinion as you seem a little in the dark here and it is not obvious from your post exactly what is going on here.
Its constantly waking him up in the middle of the night because he shoulder will start hurting and his hand go numb. He was saying that a friend of his had the same problems but it was from lacquer thinner poisoning. Im just wondering if maybe there is another problem or not.His left arm is just fine. Im wondering if its a pinched nerve, a bad disk or what.

This particular malady started life as what looked like a zit. I popped it, and it exploded into what looked like a simple bacterial infection. I treated it like any infected zit area (with neosporin and cleanliness), and it just got worse.
I was recently diagnosed with myopic degeneration in my right eye, and told that I have a lacquer crack in that eye. I am 40 years old, and as a practicing attorney, am obviously concerned that my condition will either worsen in my right eye, or also develop in my left eye, thus rendering me essentially disabled. Is there any treatment, therapy or surgery available for my condition?
I was okay trying to control(possibly) the fungus on my toes and my thumb and index fingernails. Now it needs like what my wife is having(black dot on her thumb) now resembles what I had once upon a time. I don't want her to fight with fungus.
I did see a dermatolgist yesterday and she said my toes are likely fungus-related but she had I didn't have enough nail for samples. Prescribed me Penlac(sp?) and asked me to go back when the toenails grow out...
I am so confused now.
I was diagnosed with Mayopic D with Lacquer crack one week ago because I had bleeding in my eye causing blurry and wavy center vision. Doctor put injection into my eye and I have follow-up in 4 weeks.
The bleeding happened 9 days ago and got injection 5 days later. But so far, I don’t see any improvement. I just wonder normally how soon it can start recovery. I guess this also case by case but any answer or hint would be very helpful. I am 40 years old for reference.

I am 41 and have high myopia (-10 L and -12R) with a recently diagnosed lacquer crack and CNV in the left eye (treated with 2 shots of Lucentis). This has been a great shock and has left me with many anxieties about the future, but my question here relates to pregnancy. I am a breastfeeding mother (to a one-year-old) and had been considering one more baby before I'm past it! However my consultant says that pregnancy may stimulate angiogenesis (blood vessel growth) and cause further CNV.
I am a 41-year-old female with degenerative myopia (-10L/-12R), including a lacquer crack in the L eye and and one episode of CVN in the L eye (treated with two shots of Lucentis).
My house was being painted and the painters used a very strong smelling lacquer on the woodwork. I have no idea if this has anything to do with the problem, but it coincided with the onset of my symptoms. I developed vertigo. I was first diagnosed with BPPV and sent for Epley maneuvers. When these didn't help, I underwent a video nystagmogram which was read as normal. The symptoms persisted along with intermittent headaches.
I sprayed all my plastics I have to touch in my home with 7-9 coats of clear fast dry lacquer. This is enough barrier. And it doesn't even show. Just looks like nice shiny plastic. It has to be done with quick dry lacquer in thin coats. The faster it dries the less time for alloys in the plastic to bleed into the clear coat.
It is a simple thing to try. Simple avoid these things for one weekend and that is enough time to tell. If it get a little better then you will know.
CNV has also been associated with extreme myopia or malignant myopic degeneration, where in choroidal neovascularization occurs primarily in the presence of cracks within the retinal (specifically) macular tissue known as lacquer cracks.
There are other symptoms of degenerative myopia not found in wet AMD, such as lacquer cracks and localized areas of thinning/breakdown of the retinal cells, resulting in retinal detachment, abnormal 'traction' on the retinal surface and macular 'holes.' - These are all caused by the tissues being stretched too thin by the elongation of the eye that is typical of a very high myope who develops degenerative myopia.
Well this suspiction about tapeworms should be cleared out first. Any parasite, including giardia and entameba, and of course intestinal worms, can cause eosinophilia. It was reported few weeks ago here on this forum, that stool test in obvious worms was false negative! Worms or their eggs frequently appear in stool, and may vbe seen with a naked eye. I'm not saying they are worms here, it's you who mentioned them.

Trichomycosis is a bacterial infection of the hair shaft found in sweat gland–bearing areas. Trichomycosis pubis a disease specific to the hair and sweat gland–bearing regions of the of the pubic region.
regarding the clinical effects of purely atrophic myopic degeneration, but have been less successful. In my own case, I have plenty of drusen and lacquer cracks - no evidence of CNV either currently or in the past. However, I have had a steady decline of vision that has accelerated in my mid-30's. ERG results indicate a significant pathology involving the entire retina that, at this point, can only be hyopthetically linked to atrophic changes of the retina.
Your finger tips may be doing this from your PC keyboard, believe it or not. Or it may be something else. But many are developing allergy to plastics, and other synthetics like polyester,vinyl, and others. This causes skin issues, and is called Allergic contact dermatitis. People who have this also develope another skin condition like eczema as well.
t want to thin it out so much that you hit the nail bed. (blood and OUCH) Reducing the nail thickness will enable the cream/lotion/or paint on lacquer to saturate the nail better. This is not something I would advise on fingernails in fact its not something I'd advise at all under normal circumstances.
First of all you errored GREATLY by trusting your abnormal eyes to chain optical. They are staffed my non-MD optometrists. You need the services of a comprehensive Eye MD ophthalmologist and a Eye MD retina specialist. You should have been referred many years ago by the chain for your high myopia and your subnormal vision. DON"T GO TO THE CHAIN OPTICAL. see your retina ophthalmologist and find a comprehensive ophthalmologist. You could even ask the retina Eye MD to recommend a good one.
