Avatar f tn i had my one week check up yesterday and it looks as though one of the leads has moved. they did an x ray which shows the same as the x ray taken at the hospital the day after the pacemaker was put in. but i go back in 2 weeks to do the test again as they say the ex ray does not pick up micro changes. my question is. is this normal? and my dr. if so adamet about me not lifting my arm above my head after surgery for 2 weeks. but the ex ray tech.
Avatar n tn He went for a checkup recently (not his regular cardiologist) and had a chest x-ray done. Results showed some fluid. He was told to double up on his Lasix. What could be causing this fluid build up and is it safe to increase Lasix? My concern is that he saw his regular cardiologist approx 1 month ago. He told my Dad that he did hear a "girgle" when he listened with his stethascope, but never recommended that he increase his Lasix and didn't recommend a chest x-ray.
Avatar n tn Has he had a chest x-ray to rule out fluid in the lungs? Coughing most of the time is associated with fluid in the lungs due to heart failure. It can also be associated with ace inhibitors.

Avatar f tn I have a dental appointment tomorrow and I know they may try to give me an x-ray. I'm 16 weeks now and this is my first pregnancy. I went to the dentist earlier this year and they didn't want to do an x-ray because I was in my 1st trimester. Is it really safe to have one done now?

Avatar m tn My aunt received a pacemaker last week and was in terrible pain shortly after. She went to Urgent Care where they took an x-ray and said all looked fine. That night she had to call an ambulance and go to the ER because of the pain. They took another x-ray and said it looked good, but then they did a CAT scan and found that one of the leads had actually moved, and it went through her heart! Today they fixed it, replaced one of the leads and they think the pain will not come back.

Avatar n tn I have several concerns about radiation. While there are a lot of sources that say dental X-rays have minimal radiation, etc. I am still a bit concerned, since I consistently get ill after getting dental x-rays. I was wondering if there was any cap to radiation exposure built into the dental x-ray machines, or whether it was at the dentist's discretion how much radiation was used.
Avatar m tn I recently had a chest X-Ray and was told that everything looked fine. My question is what all would a chest X-ray show? Would it show lung cancer or esophagal cancer? Something is definately wrong wth me but the doctors can't seem to pinpoint anything.
Avatar n tn x-ray shows 7mm nodular versus nipple shadow versus superimpostion of shadows at the left lung base. Is this anything 2 be concerned about?
Avatar f tn My little girls has scoliosis which is very mild, she had 3 or 4 X-rays at about 5-6 months and a chest X-ray at 4 years, they say the scoliosis isn't getting worse, better infact, but, I recently read a report saying there is a link with childhood cancer and x-ray and haven't been able to get my mind off it. I have also read reports saying there is no link with low dose X-ray but don't know what to believe now. Am I worrying irrationally.
Avatar m tn Retake another chest X ray 3 month later still same thing. My family doctor said need another X ray in next 6 months to follow up. Anyone got the same issue?
Avatar f tn My chest x-ray findings were as follows: Heart size is within normal limits. There is questionable vague increased opacity in the right suprahilar region. The left lung is clear. No pleural effusion is identified. No acute osseous abnormality is seen. Impression: With the clinical history, the possiblility of early pneumonia is not excluded. Can you tell me whether the fact that there are questionable vague increased opacity means that there is a mass in my lung?

Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. Apical scar tissue in the lungs is usually due to healed tuberculous pathology. Prominent bronchovascular markings are usually an incidental finding. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
