In a GCMS, UDA Codeine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, 6-acetyl morphine (Heroin metabolite) is an unexpected result.

question: if 1 mg of suboxone is equal to 20-30 mgs of hydrocodone would that be the same for oxycontin would 1 mg of sub be equal to 20-30 mgs oxy then?
The reason why you tested positive for oxymorphone is because oxycodone which is found in percocet can produce oxymorphone when it is metabolized in the liver. The codeine-hydrocodone group and morphinans can also produce oxymorphone.
Hello. I am prescribed Oxycodone and Hydrocodone for pain. My doctor told me that my last drug screening came up positive for Opana ER. I have never taken Opana. How in the world could this have happened? I know many people won't believe me, but it's the truth. I'm just trying to figure out how this could happen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
i was on here once before and i relapsed. not only did i go back to taking hydrocodone but i started taking more. i then moved to oxycodone , about 60-150mg i also take opana(oxymorphone) 40mg ER but i crush and snort them. when i was on here i took apprx. 12 10mg pills a day about 30mg at a time. now when i take 7 10mg pills i dont feel anything. is the increase in my tolerance going to vastly affect the withdrawal process in severity or length?
Oxycodone (with and without tylenol) and Hydrocodone are both not recommended due to the additional metabolism by the liver into oxymorphone and hydromorphone, respectively. There is still some work on the liver regardless to process opioids but Fentanyl, Dilaudid (hydromorphone), and Opana (oxymorphone) put less strain on the liver.

i had a urine test done at my doctors office and it come back positive for hydromorphne i had no clue what the druf was , but now ive learned alot . im on alot of meds and hydrocodone is one.
Hi Krista! I've had severe chronic pain since 1983 and was diagnosed with HCV in 1986 and with cirrhosis in 2004. Before my liver got so bad I used a variety of different pain meds, but have had to be way more careful since 2004. For the last year I've been using Opana (oxymorphone) ER twice daily and a small dose of oxymorphone IR for breakthrough pain. It has worked well for me, contains no acetaminophen, is okay with my hepatologist, and has fewer supply hassles than OxyContin did.
im on opana er (oxymorphone) 5mg x2 day, neurantin 300mg x3 day, hydrocodone 7.5mg x1 day, ambien 10mg x1 night, synthroid 225mcg x1 night, alegra180 mg x1 day, and benedryl as needed. I have thyroid cancer, a poor diet, drink soda all the time, and am overweight. I tested postive however for oxycodone, which im not taking. i was told by my doctor that the opana would test positive only for oxymorphone, and not oxycode.
when i could not find oxycontin i would take opana er 40mg. opana(oxymorphone) is about twice as potent as oxycodone. they are rather new i believe they came out in 2002?
The urine test WILL show the difference in the two medications. Vicodin is HYDROcodone, which is different than OXYcodone, different drug, different chemical breakdown and different metabolites.
Why did you run out of your prescribed vicodin early?
The prescriptions are supposed to last 30 days, if you are taking them exactly as prescribed, you should not run out early.
I have not known anyone to use methadone to detox from Hydro's, but I have a friend who used it to kick Oxymorphone and Oxycontin. She took less than you, always about 10mgs a day. Her use was probably close to your 300mg hydros. In total amazement, she had almost no symptoms from the fast acting opioids. The long half life of methadone helped her to adjust slowly and she never formed an addiction to it, so it actually helped a great deal.
What is the exact difference between hydrocodone/Vicodin/ loratab and oxycodone/ Percocet? I know Percocet is supposed to be lil stronger but what is the real difference? Does one work better on other pains? What's the difference btw hydro and oxy? Thanks!!
I dont see much about it in these posts but I have been taking oxymorphone(OPANA) for FBS.I have been addicted to Meth cocaine and alcohol in the past but have been free from those chains for 10 years.My disease has resurfaced with this Opana though.I have cut my intake from 20 mg a day to 10 mg a day for the past three days.I have been blessed to avoid the terrible sickness of opiate withdrawl that I went through last year with this **** when I went CT off of it.
They have tried everything for my pain, finally put me on Opana (Oxymorphone). I have done urine tests in the past without a problem. The PA I was seeing sent me to get back surgery in late Dec. and the Surgeon sent me home with Tylenol #4 to take with the Opana for pain and I was to get a refill from my Primary Care Physician. When I saw my PA in Jan. we discussed me taking the Tylenol #4 and how I got it and he said ok. Its even written on my summary of visit that I was taking Tylenol #4.
I was actually dehydrated and could not pee for my UDtest so they took blood and it came back positive for oxymorphone, noroxycodone, and noroxymorphone at low levels but on a zero tolerance test any amount is a positive. Are these items that could be from just taking the oxycodone and my body coverts it to this or is the test flawed.
I’ve been taking 5mg oxymorphone extended release pills for 8 years. I recently had to switch primary care doctors because mine moved away. The first urine drug test I was asked to do was last Friday and they called today and said the drug didn’t show up in my system, and dropped me as a patient. I have built up a tolerance to oxycodone IR that I have had to take 3 times my dose just to get my pain to get down to a moderate level. The research I have done is that oxymorphone is stronger and less mg. I have several questions. Are taking less mg easier on the body? I've just been switched from Fentanyl 25mcg every 48 hrs to Oxymorphone 10mg every 12hrs. I feel way worse (pain) & was wondering if anyone knows what the equivalence is between the 2. I have a feeling I've just been decreased in pain relief. My dr & the pharmacist told me to wait a few days to "feel it's working" & in the meantime I'm in excruciating pain. I'm taking Opana ER 10 mg and it's not on the list of approved drugs for my new RX plan. Fentanyl patches weren't effective. What's a good substitute? oxymorphone is not listed but hydromorphone is.
I am going through serious withdrawal. I suffer chronic back and hip pain and my doctor can't seem to find the source of the pain. So I started to medicate myself. I started off with oxy 30s. then I started dating a guy who also is in chronic pain and when I would start getting "sick" from not being able to get the 30s he gave he some of his oxymorphone, opana, and I don't want to continue taking his meds anymore.
