Avatar m tn t hurt the dog. Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic drug that is actually used in dogs to treat urinary incontinence. It doesn't work on the actual bladder sphinter, it works by relaxing the bladder muscle so that it is able to store more urine without feeling full. If the dog were to ingest one, there should be no ill effects.
Avatar m tn When I was a sophomore in high school, I started to have a bit stress incontinence after urinating. I ignored this until it got was months later when in addition to the incontinence, I was having was I would describe as this slight leaky/urge feeling that varies in intensity and duration after urination.
359574 tn?1328360424 A very thorough caring doctor, she was. My urodynamic testing was good--not retaining urine, don't have a floppy bladder, no stress incontinence problems. My physical exam with her today was also normal--nothing prolapsed, equal sensation on both side of my body, OK pelvic muscle strength, but could be improved. The whole problem is the bladder contracting inappropriately.
Avatar f tn I just wondered how they work out what is neurological and what is not when it comes to the incontinence stuff.
Avatar n tn Hi to everyone! I started having the problem with urinary incontinence about 4 years ago when I was 30. At first it was not that bad and I did not really worry or think about it. The last 2 years it got worse. It is not that much the frequency as the urgency that is my problem. The urge comes suddenly and is very strong. I have few minutes to find a toilet or otherwise I just can not hold it.
Avatar f tn Start doing Ur Kegels. Excersising Ur vag. Stress or no stress incontinence will continue & will get worse if u do not do Ur Kegels.
Avatar f tn My 15yr old daughter has stress incontinence, she has had umpteen tests & tablets. It started when she 1st went to school but has got worse over the years, 2 years ago she took an overdose thankfully she told someone so was ok, we are still seeing the hospital doctor who is trying to find help from specialists but this is taking forever.
Avatar m tn What are the nonsurgical treatment options for stress urinary incontinence? Just found some adult diapers but not sure which one will be good.
Avatar m tn I think i have UTI and stress incontinence. I have seen a doctor and was prescribed citralka syrup (2-3 times daily) and some tablets (2-3 times daily) for 10 days. Would this be enough to cure these problems?
Avatar n tn Night time bed wetting or incontinence could be due to stress, functionally small bladder, diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, urinary bladder wall instability, UTI, stones and neurological problems. Urinary bladder wall problem has been deducted in your case. However you can discuss your case with your urologist. The enumerated the possibilities can be investigated or ruled out one by one by your physician. A psychological assessment of the situation may also help. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Neither a stent nor a ureteroscopy should cause stress incontinence. It has been at least six months so I would suggest seeing a urologist or gynecologist for further evaluation and consideration of a sling, which is a surgical procedure to correct stress incontinence.
1698437 tn?1309480319 Has her doctor done a urinalysis? I think this is a potentially concerning issue with which I'm currently experiencing with my 6½ year old son, just not quite as extreme as with your daughter. A few months ago, he started leaking throughout the day--just a drop or two at a time every couple of hours. I thought nothing of it. Then he began waking up most mornings with damp underwear; not wetting the bed but leaking through the night.
Avatar f tn Hi, I was just diagnosed with stress incontinence a few weeks ago. The incontinence started right after I had low back surgery for high-grade spondylolisthesis. The urologist thought it was from the nerves in my low back and is sending me back to my neurosurgeon. But I don't see how having surgery a year ago and then having incontinence 6 months after surgery can happen. I was not sure if it's possible that this is a separate issue then my back or not.
Avatar f tn I was told detrol or other meds to help incontinence would not help with stress incontinence. Thank you. It is a very big and embarrising problem for me. I am single and in my mid 40's. I have read about this injection that can be administered but at this time I do not have insurance am I am unable to afford it.
1549643 tn?1495759353 Am having constant pressure, constant urge to pea when laying down, and stress incontinence. I had the pressure prior to my retrocele repair back in July. Then I also developed incontinence right after the surgery.
359574 tn?1328360424 One was at work and my darling hubby brought me fresh jeans. I think the medicine, oxybutynin chloride, has just started to be helpful in the last week or two. It's not drying me out excessively. I just wake up with cotton mouth, but when I'm up and about and can drink when I want, that's OK. As long as I can sing. It hasn't made the constipation worse.
Avatar n tn She is suffering from severe leg pain and also has a stress urinary incontinence. It is very hard to manage her. We had tried some medications, but nothing worked for her. One of our family friends had told us that physiotherapy. Is a good treatment method of a woman with stress urinary incontinence. Is it applicable for an aged woman? What is this treatment all about? Do I need to assist her during the treatment? How much will be the treatment duration? Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn Funny enough you mention this I took Oxybutynin for awhile and a bit excessively, I keep thinking that this messed up my gut and caused this curse of a phenomenon.
1040373 tn?1273687488 t have any IV steroids. I have been suffering with urine incontinence that had nothing to do with stress incontinence issues. I was having problems with that"gotta go feeling" and I also was having issues with loosing urine when I would wake up in the morning. When I would wake up, I didn't even know I was urinating on myself, until I would feel a warm sensation, and then in disbelief, I would run to the bathroom. This keeps happening, but not all the time. It comes and goes.
352007 tn?1372857881 Now some of you may have experienced stress incontinence in all forms ie: coughing, running, squatting. But when you yell while standing up? LOL! Yep, yep! That's happened to me! Now as I'm talking to my neighbor across the street, a stream of urine is running down my leg saturating my pants. Thank goodness she was older and probably has presbyopia. (I would hope). Anyone else?
641819 tn?1240325930 I get the occassional bit of stress incontinence - the trickle when you sneeze or what not. However this comes with very little warning and isn't just a little. I was lucky to not make a puddle on the floor, but my jeans were soaked halfway to my knees. Anyone else with this problem? If so...any suggestions? Been diagnosed with fibro since 05. Have had a lot of neurological problems, expecially this year, with buzzing, prickling and burning pain etc...
