I am having stent removal tomorrow and I'm scared of the pain . Can I take 2 or 3 Ibuprofen and 1 phenazoptridine 100mg and 1 oxybutynin 5mg The Dr, gave me Cipro to take 2 hrs, before I go to Drs, will this help me or not? If not what can I do to prevent the bad pain I hear about after stent removal. please help me.
I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.

As far back as I can remember I get hot extremely easily and sweat profusely on my forehead, middle of my chest, and middle of my back. The heat seems to come in almost a wave, and I can feel it rising until it reaches my head(hope this description makes sense), and I can never seem to cool down. An odd part about this is, on occasion, my feet will be extremely cold at the same time. If I'm not wearing socks or shoes my feet will be almost painful, they're that cold.

Get your urologist or GP to prescribe you an anti-spasmodic medication. I use Oxybutynin, as it works best for me, but there are numerous others on the market.
Are you sure your stone is 4cm??? That's awfully large for a kidney-stone. There are 'staghorn' stones that form inside the kidney itself and fill the cavities of the kidney (the 'poles' of the kidney) that may get that large, but the chances of having a 4cm stone in your bladder are slim.
If you have tried certain medications like Aluminium chloride (antiperspirant) deodrants, Oxybutynin (risk of side effects),other cholenergic drugs then the next option will be meeting a cosmetic surgeon.
t only look at people like me who got it thru IV, but included in that is accidental needlesticks and infected thru a contaminated vial, those are still considered routes of IV technically. On another note, my doctor used the following method in guessing when I got infected. I've been taking Lovastatin for 2 months. For the past couple of weeks I've been experiencing aching kidneys and I'm very tired. I had blood work done today for follow up of the drug and notified the doctor that I had this problem. My body temperature is 96.8, which I realize is a bit low, but perhaps normal? Could the achiness be due to the Lovastatin? I'm quite concerned about this and have had kidney problems as a child.

So following your advice to go for testing for the sake of peace of mind i went for test. The doctor used the determine method and i was tested negative today. The test was done 11 weeks and 2 days after the first exposure and 10 weeks and 2 days after the second exposure and it came out NEGATIVE. Pls advice as follows.
My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
Antibodies for hiv 1/2 was negative but antibodies for HCV was weakly reactive 1,63 (S/CO cutt off 1.00 meia method) and indeterminate riba3 with ns3 strip present. I repeat blood test at 8 month after incident hiv1/2 ws negative, hiv duo was negative, HIV PCR RNA quantitative (50ui/ml lower limit) was undetectable and HCV RNA was undetectable. I'm not sure that health care worker collect blood for both RNA in proper tube (with purple cap with EDTA) because was new on this work.
