Common Questions and Answers about Oxybutynin in pregnancy

ditropan

Avatar m tn t hurt the dog. Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic drug that is actually used in dogs to treat urinary incontinence. It doesn't work on the actual bladder sphinter, it works by relaxing the bladder muscle so that it is able to store more urine without feeling full. If the dog were to ingest one, there should be no ill effects.
Avatar f tn Funny enough you mention this I took Oxybutynin for awhile and a bit excessively, I keep thinking that this messed up my gut and caused this curse of a phenomenon.
Avatar f tn Also I urinat about 20 times a day and about 15 times at night yes I have tried vesicare and oxybutynin. I also have just had a bladder distention but all this was going on before the bladder distention.
Avatar f tn I was in the hospital last week with a bad UTI and bladder infection, and I am still really hurting but everything I heard said once it hits the bladder it should not hurt. What should I do?
Avatar f tn Can I take 2 or 3 Ibuprofen and 1 phenazoptridine 100mg and 1 oxybutynin 5mg The Dr, gave me Cipro to take 2 hrs, before I go to Drs, will this help me or not? If not what can I do to prevent the bad pain I hear about after stent removal. please help me.
Avatar f tn I'm 33 year old male, I was diagnosed with phimosis 2yrs ago. I've been having the constant urge to urinate but with only a low flow and sometimes spraying. I've been through testing for uti, std, bladder cancer (cystoscopy) but yet know one can give me an answer as to why I always have the urge. I've taken meds (flomax, oxybutynin, and diptromin) none of them worked. Help!!! I'm to young for this to be happening.
Avatar f tn As far back as I can remember I get hot extremely easily and sweat profusely on my forehead, middle of my chest, and middle of my back. The heat seems to come in almost a wave, and I can feel it rising until it reaches my head(hope this description makes sense), and I can never seem to cool down. An odd part about this is, on occasion, my feet will be extremely cold at the same time. If I'm not wearing socks or shoes my feet will be almost painful, they're that cold.
Avatar f tn Hi, The med methotextrate has a warning on the packet in australia for sun exposure. It has a warning that sun exposure can make you feel ill and exacerbate any symptoms. Hope this help Take care.
Avatar f tn Hi all, a bit about my history, have had an overactive bladder treated for about last 20 years with oxybutynin and whilst not perfect, everything was fine to live a normal lifestyle, play sports, gym, go out drinking etc, I’m now 38, male. A couple of years ago I felt like what was a trapped nerve around my coccyx area and was unable to sit down for a couple of days, the pain was excruciating.
Avatar n tn My 7 y.o. is awaiting a pediatric urology appt but is currently taking oxybutynin 10 mg. After months of her primary thinking it was vag related, a ped gyn dx'd bladder contraction/spasms. These are daily... all day... and now waking her in the night. She is going half crazy from the constant discomfort, which she eases by pressing on her vag area. This is interfering, of course, with her everday life.
Avatar f tn PS. The other drugs I'm taking are...Chlortalidone, Oxybutynin, and Lisinopril. I take cal/citrate, fish oil, flax and E along with those prescribed meds.
1335869 tn?1275658008 Discharged from hospital with a catheter on continuous drainage. After a few months, failure to renew the catheter because of strictures in the urethra, he managed fairly well to keep dry through the day, though incontinent at night. About five months ago, the strictures began causing problems of retention and a catheter has been reinserted using a flexi-scope to help. Now he is having problems with constantly feeling that he needs to pass urine.
Avatar f tn I feel like my insides from under my ribcage down to my crotch have been taken out, beat with a baseball bat and then shoved back in swollen and bruised. Sound familiar to anyone? I also have severe kidney pain. Is that related to IC? Anyone else have kidney pain. What treatments have worked for you? The Dr. recently put me on Vesicare, but I heard it has some bad side effects, anyone have any opinions or thoughts on that?
461014 tn?1233100391 My 6yr old still has issues with wetting the bed at night and having accidents during the day. We have had her tested quite a few times in the past few years for bladder infections and we have even tried Oxybutynin. The doctor can never seem to find any "problems" that are causing her to have these accidents. He just says she should out grow it. But it's only seeming to get worse. She wets the bed almost everynight and she's been having more than one accident a day at school.
Avatar m tn I don't know if I posted this in the right forum so if someone could maybe move the post or something I couldn't find where to post about Cystoscopys So about a week ago I had a cystoscopy done where they inserted the camera into my urethra to look around. I had it done because there was some blood in my urine they told me it was most likely from the chlamydia infection I was treated for back in april.
Avatar m tn this started out of the blue. itchy sensation in the urethra of my penis that feels like i need to pee. when i pee, i dont have any pain, blood or discharge, but when done peeing, it feels like i still need to go. the more i try to go the more the itchiness seems to intensify. if i dont go, it usually goes away or decreases after 1-2 hours. at this point, when i start feeling i need to go, i know this is real and that i really need to go.
Avatar f tn When I woke from anesthetic I was told my ureter was too small tohave the procedure and a stent was placed in my ureter in hopes of making it large enough to have the ureteroscopy in 10 to 14 days. Is this considered standard protocol? Is it considered a birth defect to have an unusually small ureter? Are there anythings that can be done to help alleviate the awful pain I'm in from the stent. My dr never mentioned I would have pain.
Avatar f tn The bedwetting just stopped. Last year, I had one accident. But, in the recent months, and early this morning, I have wet the bed a couple of times. I'm embarrassed by this, and I have no clue why I continue to wet the bed. I'm worried about this, because I'll be going off to college in the fall, and I don't want this to continue on. Whenever I wet the bed, I'm half asleep. It's like I'm in a dream daze. I'm dreaming that I am actually on the toilet.
359574 tn?1328360424 One was at work and my darling hubby brought me fresh jeans. I think the medicine, oxybutynin chloride, has just started to be helpful in the last week or two. It's not drying me out excessively. I just wake up with cotton mouth, but when I'm up and about and can drink when I want, that's OK. As long as I can sing. It hasn't made the constipation worse.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm really desperate to figure out what is happening with me. At the beginning of August I began to experience sharp pain while urinating and sometimes sharp pain that comes and goes on my lower right side. I had my yearly gyno exam and they tested my urine and it was fine. For about 15 years the doctors have been saying I have endometriosis so my gyno recommended a laparoscopy because he felt the pain was coming from the progression of endo. I had that done on August 25th.
20922415 tn?1661860103 If pregnancy occurs, progesterone is produced in the placenta, and levels remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. The combination of high estrogen and progesterone levels suppresses further ovulation during pregnancy. Progesterone also encourages the growth of milk-producing glands in the breast during pregnancy. High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated, and mood swings.
Avatar m tn i also had chest xrays an im currently taking oxybutynin 5mg to help but nothing seems to work. all im drinking is water a couple of glasses a day and i sometimes feel dizzy an sick, hot at night and cold in the mornings ?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm new to the site and wanted to hear some input from others. This is going to be a long and detailed post so be ready. I've been doing research and can't find anything that fits my situations. First off, I am a 20 year old male and I am a very healthy and in shape.
Avatar n tn For me Elmiron has been a life saver.I have not lost any hair. I do not wake up at least four times in the middle of the night, the pelvic pain is better (I also have endo so sometimes hard to distinguish what is causing the pain.) Plus I do not have to go to the bathroom very hour. Did your doctor tell you that you need yearly blood tests to check liver levels? I also stay away from foods like fruit juice, pears (yes I know they say you can have pears but my body did not read this).
