Avatar n tn Interestingly I also have liver cysts - called simple cysts. There may be no connection of course. But I have read somewhere that ovarian cysts can be connected to PPIs. I also have gastro polyps as a result of long term use of PPIs. To avoid the polyps you might want to consider getting off PPIs once you have the acid reflux under control - and then seriously change your diet to make sure you don't get reflux again (less animal fats, sugars, acid food etc.).

Avatar f tn Hi jojo, Why not come visit us on the Ovarian Cyst Forum. This forum is primarily for Ovarian Cancer and there probably will be more folks replying to you on the "cyst" forum. You could also check out the Hysterectomy Forum. I had my ovary removed when I had the cyst removed but I'm also post menopausal so it really isn't the same as it is for you.. Pop on over to the Ovarian Cyst forum and post this over there..
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?
Avatar f tn My husband is in the military so I don’t really have the second opinion options so I just wanted to see if anyone had some ideas of treatment, prevention, why I would continually be having these cysts. I also have three sisters (all from the same parents) who have never had any of these issues. Thank you for your time & help! * I did take the “cancer gene” test which was negative woohoo!
Avatar f tn My concern is not to have future formation of cysts. Is there a diet, specific food that I should promote and others avoid to be proactive? And, is there a way to eliminate those nasty post-op gases?
Avatar f tn Hi, im 18 years old 160 lbs (now 175 lbs) and have a fairly healthy lifestyle. For the past year, ive suffered with sharp shooting pains in my pelvis, and a sciatic like pain down my left buttock and leg. I frequently get pains in my lower back, and it always seem very tender and sore. My doctor told me i had sciatica in my left leg, and that it would go after 3 or 4 weeks on its own, but it hasnt, and im starting to think my symptoms are maybe that of a cyst/cysts on my ovary.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from Ovarian Cysts since I was 16 years old and I am 32 now. I had an oophorectomy at age 16 of the right side. I have two beautiful children but cannot get an acceptable quality of life because of these no warning episodes. Do you know of a natural remedy that I can use to eliminate and prevent future cysts from forming? My frequency is about 2 to 3 times a year.
Avatar f tn I've been prone to ovarian cysts for 5years and am in near constant pain with them. I've tried different contraceptions, painkillers and keyhole surgery but they always return. My doctor said removing my ovary would be best but im too young- im only 21! My G.P is consulting with his senior for more options but I can't wait. Tests confirm they are abnormal cysts but cannot be operated on almost every month!
Avatar f tn s been 4 months since i started my treatment, but the problem is that i have developed twice during this period ovarian cysts 3-5 cm, which cause me great pain. My doctor insists that visanne should prevent me from developing ovarian cysts, and every time this happens i have to take for 20 days secondary progesterone. So my question is should i look for somethng else? Maybe my thiroid or any other hormones that could cause ovarian cysts?
Avatar f tn Hi , this is the ovarian cancer forum for women diagnosed or fighting ovarian cancer, Im afraid none of us on here can answer what type of treatment she will have as we are not medical professionals . If you have any questions relating to ovarian cysts there is a very good forum where you will find a lot of information and some very nice ladies with experience of cysts who will try to help you .
682122 tn?1233186551 Ovarian cysts are mostly benign, but there are riskier in older women. From what I have been told, in the case of older women, they might remove the whole ovary to avoid regrowth of the cyst. If discovered to be cancerous, they will remove both oavaries and fallopian tubes. It also depends on what type of cyst you have. Were you told? Talk to your doctor about how he/she plans on approaching this. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Cysts in or around the ovaries may be a sign of a number of things, including but not limited to PCOS. I also have cysts around my ovaries and was diagnosed with multicystic ovarian syndrome. My OBGYN is one of the top docs in Chicago and has practiced for 30+ years. So, basically, he's seen it all. Please note, multicystic ovarian syndrome is different than polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Avatar f tn I was looking for an alternative method on internet and came a across a website called ****************.com that sold ovarian cysts kit and was wondering if anybody has tried it and what the outcome was.
Avatar f tn Previous and during the IVF treatment I was in good health and had normal thyroid blood results and normal ovarian ultra sounds. Before I started the IVF treatment I had a laparoscopy which showed nothing abnormal in my uterus and ovaries. A small amount of endometrosis was taken from the Pouch of Douglas area of my abdomen. My FSH levels at this time were indicating that I was early menopausal. Since the end of the IVF my menstrual cycle was returning to a regular cycle.
Avatar m tn My concern is that she recently had a very sharp pain in her lower abdomen which lasted over an hour, and when she was examined by her OBGYN a couple of days later, she requested Tracie to have an ultrasound because she felt some cysts. The ultrasound showed 2 regular fluid filled cysts and 1 solid(complex as she called it) cyst that had ruptured that was full of blood.
Avatar n tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar n tn Hi there. It is possible the pain could be due to cysts. I've never heard of a connection to coffee though. Do see your gyn and have a transvaginal ultrasound to be sure. Good luck!
