475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
1810386 tn?1405549577 Amitriptyline and Tramadol is horible interaction leading to Serotonine Syndrome. Had it once, before surgery. any SSRI is evil with Tramal. brrrrrrr.
216046 tn?1193943404 This very old thread is about Tramadol and Lyrica. I almost didn't see your comment - and doubt others will see it at all. If you wish to make a comment to be seen on the web when searched - and to be seen by our members please start your own thread. Click on "Ask a Question" it's simple to do. As for your comment, there are variables and this subject needs much more than a one-liner. It's complex.
Avatar f tn You are correct about there the MAJOR drug interaction between tramadol and sertraline (Zoloft). Please note that there are several moderate drug interactions with your medications, for example, sertraline (Zoloft), pregabalin (Lyrica), clonidine, and methocarbamol (Robaxin) all can increase side effects such dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired thinking and judgment when taken together. It would be a good idea to review your medication regimen with your provider and pharmacist.
Avatar n tn I understand the anemia but what is causing the extreme nausea that I experience My doctor just put me on Ondansetron and it seems to be helping, so far. Doctor, can you explain in layman terms, please, what's with the nausea? Is it just the body's reaction to sooooo much medication? Or is my body trying to tell me something else? Thank you, Ms.
Avatar f tn I was thinking about trying st. John's wort for depression. I take tramadol for a knee alignment issue. I currently take 100mg-200mg about 3 times a week. I know there is an interaction with st. John's wort due to the seratonin increase they both cause. Am I able to take the st. John's wort on days I don't need the tramadol? If not, how long should I wait to take the St. John's wort after taking the tramadol and when would I be able to take the st.
Avatar m tn I also ran an interaction checker on all three, Tramadol, Hydroxyzine and Synthroid, Synthroid produce no interaction with the other two, al though I di get a "Moderate" Interaction on Tramadol and Hydroxyzine as below: MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
Avatar n tn No added interaction. Make sure to bring full list of all medications your husband is on to each doctor's appointment as he may see more than one prescriber and make sure to show that list to them each time they consider prescribing new medications. Jennifer R RPH www.drugstore.
Avatar f tn t stop vomiting without it. I still have a day here and there but its a lot better than before. I hope it helps you and good luck with your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn Anything prescribed always comes with some sort of risk, if you are really worried about it you can try alternative methods like buy some ginger and chew on a piece or make it into tea, saltiness crackers, 7 up, there are a bunch of things just Google it and see what works for you
Avatar f tn There are some lawsuits related to it recently, but my doctor said he's never had a patient with an issue. He's still cautious not to use it though and gave me B6 instead. However, I have several family members who took it for the entire 2nd and 3rd trimester and had no problems. If you're getting dehydrated and can't get enough nutrition, your doctor may have judged that the benefits outweigh the risks for you.
Avatar f tn Since you are on a considerably high dose of tramadol yes, the interaction is significant and can indeed cause serotonin syndrome, Also since Cymbalta is a potent SNRI. Was the tramadol prescribed with by a doctor knowing you were using tramadol as such high dose and vice versa? Reading that is serotonin syndrome on the internet won't improve your situation. I repeat serotonin syndrome is a medical condition that rarely cause trouble. If you experience fever then its time to go to the ER.
Avatar f tn oh, this is just me but unless a doctor tells me to, I wouldn't. Drug interactions are real. https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/suboxone-with-tramadol-439-2040-2221-0.html At the very least, ask a pharmacist.
541465 tn?1219427886 Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone. I was kinda bad and gave all all my klonopins to a friend (at the time she needed it, but I do have seizures so i must take benzo's), All i had let was 1.5 mgs of Klonopin, 0.2mgs Chlonodine, 1 mg ativan (another pill i found with the tramadol)., the 200mg Seroquel ( well right now, i cut them in half i i dont need it), Its hard to pee at the clinic when they have the random urins, and that 50 mg Tramadol.
4705307 tn?1447970322 And not to eat anything latter at night. Also I am taking ondansetron 4 mg, it says 1 every 8 hours or as needed for nausea and vomiting. But my problems is more cramping under my sternum, it becomes in the realm of 7-8 on a 1-10, pain scale. So I see no reason to take it, cramping seems to be different to me than nausea and vomiting, although at times my ribavirin does not want to stay down, this issue is also a relatively new problem.
728965 tn?1266373645 Hi, I just did a quick google on 'Tramadol and Veginal Bleeding' and found some relation between the two, and it might interact with other meds you're taking. Http://www.drug.com usually has good info. and drug side effects and interations. . Since I'm in a very mush jello mode today, I didn't spend much time reading every article I found. Try using your search engine and see what you can find. I've never had side effects like that........
Business man2 The human body develops tolerance to the analgesic effects of Tramadol. That means, on regular use of Tramadol, your body gets used to it and you will need more of the drug to induce the same level of pain relief. The most dangerous side effects of Tramadol are respiratory depression , since it can shut down your breathing, and its ability to cause seizures. If the patient is taking certain medications for depression like Zoloft, it might cause a serious interaction called Serotonin Syndrome.
1578386 tn?1296256257 I can tell you exactly what the problem is as this happened to me. They had me on cymbalta (anti-depressant) and then put me on tramadol (the worst drug on the planet in my opinion) and the tramadol isn't only a synthetic opiate, it's also an anti-depressant - so there's a serious risk of raising the serotonin levels in your brain that can cause seizures (it's called serotonin syndrome).
1035021 tn?1296820707 So she medicate me with CAPTOPRIL by nights and PAROXETINE by mornings, I will really appreciate your opinion about this meds interaction cause as far as I know PAROXETINE is a SSRI like TRAMADOL and I don't know if they can be taken together. Thank you by advance! This discussion is related to CT W/D from tramadol.
Avatar f tn If Ondansetron is not helping there are other drugs like antacids and proton pump inhibitors that can give relief. You can ask your Doctor for a change of prescription. Also dietary modification like eating a bland non-spicy food, avoiding alcohol and smoking will help. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn Tramadol is not only a painkiller by affecting the u-opioid receptor but it also have the proprieties of inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine which would make it a painkiller with SNRI proprieties. Pristiq is a SNRI antidepressant so both are interacting together. So you have increased risk of serotonin toxicity and increased risk of seizures and other neurological symptoms. Please call her doctor to let him know this is happening.
Avatar f tn Anyone's eyes ever get dilated? I'm only taking tramadol and don't understand why my eyes look like this.
4753943 tn?1359934569 I saw her toady and she has my list of meds. She put me on TRAMADOL for intense back pain (as needed), Cymbalta for the pain management and anxiety, and she knows I'm currently on 10mg Adderall for ADHD. Should I be worried? I'm not up for landing in the ER...
Avatar f tn I hope you mentioned to your PM that you were taking the Tramadol that your PCP prescribed. Hopefully that should avoid any problems if it is detected in your bloodwork. If you didn't mention it before the testing, you could possibly have your PCP send a letter to your PM doc stating that they had given you the tramadol, when it was prescribed and what the dosing instructions were.
