Hello my 12 year old was taking omnicef for a ear infection and 10 days into it she got hives all over her body and they come and go and really ichy do you think it's from the Omnicef?

I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question,
wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.
I went back to the doctor and she let me try a new antibiotic, Omnicef. After about a day and a half (just under 2 weeks after the first impetigo spot) another one has popped up in the other corner of my lip. This kind of threw me off. The one in the left corner has come and gone about 4 times in the last 3 months, but it has never shown up in the other corner, and while already on antibiotics?
I found my 12 year old face down in the hallway carpet, half in the bathroom and half in the hallway. He got up to use the bathroom and was too fatigued to even walk the 5 steps to his bedroom. The 12 year old had huge swollen lymph nodes as well. The high fevers, extreme fatigue and lethargy, swollen lymph nodes quick onset and length of recovery were very scary for us.
Two out of three urine samples were positive for the Lyme bacteria. My doc prescribed omnicef about two weeks ago and as of yesterday, I started feeling awful again. He thinks its a herx. I've been on multiple abx for about 9 months. Anyway, he also started me on Flagyl today along with the omnicef. He said to start the Flagyl once the herx is over. He said if the Flagyl doesn't work then he will start IV abx. I'm a wreck.
Hi all, wondering if you have come across information indicating that flagyl can treat babesia at the same time it's treating Lyme. I understand it's also a antiparasitic, so not sure if that counts. If anyone knows or has heard their LLMD mention this please let me know. I just took my first dose of Flagyl, keeping my fingers crossed that I see some fantastic results!
I am on everything except the Cefidinir(Omnicef) bc she is adding that after we add the Septra and sees if it is well tolerated.
My 4 yr.old son had an allergic reaction to Omnicef. Hives all over and swollen hands, arms and feet. It's been 18 days and still gets a slight case of the hives . Within the last week( 3 times) he's had leg pain(muscel pain) joint pain. He has a hard time walking, usually the next day he can, it lasts anywhere from 12-24 hours. The 3 times he's had the leg pain he's either been swimming or riding a bike, took him to the hospital, blood work, x-rays and urine all came back fine.
About a month and a half ago I went to a strip club. I was intoxicated and had a private dance. The stripper spit on the head of my penis and then proceeded to give me a handjob. I understand from this website that this isn't a risk. As well I believe that I may have kissed her clitorial region briefly. In the following days I ended up with a head cold ( stuffy nose, very mild sore throat, heavily congested and swollen lymph nodes).
I took her to her pediatrician that same day where they did a strep test which came back negative, prescribed omnicef and sent us home. The next day her temperature just kept skyrocketing, getting up to 106. That night I took her to the ER at Children's in Dallas where they ran another strep test, mono, flu, and cbc. Her mono, strep, and flu all came back negative. Her white blood count was at 21. They gave her a shot of rocephin, told us to continue the omnicef, sent us home.
I was diagnosed with a sinus infection about 2 weeks ago----was put on an antibiotic which did not help. Four days ago, I was put on Omnicef. Granted, I did have lots of congestion and green mucous throughout these past 2 weeks; however, now, I have nothing dripping nor do I feel like anything is clogged "in there"....yet my cheek still throbs in pain occasionally. Yes, I am on prescription decongestants. Occasionally I will still cough up some mucous from my chest.
