907968 tn?1292625804 Omega-3 Fatty Acids (EPA, DHA, and other Omega-3) 750mg. Thanks for the info! FlyCaster, I was learning radio astronomy in hopes that would help with learning wave mechanics. And this went right along with visual astronomy and a slew of other astronomy fields. However, because of another medical problem I've dropped everything except the occasional imaging of a deep space object.
Avatar m tn Found a study on Omega-3 and HCC Consumption of n-3 fatty acids and fish reduces risk of hepatocellular carcinoma. Abstract BACKGROUND Fish is a rich source of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Although consumption of fish and n-3 PUFA has been reported to protect against the development of some types of cancer, little is known about its association with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Avatar n tn Peanuts are not the best nuts to eat every day. It's actually walnuts and then only a small handful. You will never have to worry about eating an entire dark chocolate bar because it has to be a least 60% or more cocoa, so you'll be happy to get one piece down due to the taste. Below is from WebMD...very reputable. The New Low-Cholesterol Diet: Nuts Nuts aren't just for holidays anymore. Key nuts can help you lower cholesterol. Add nuts to your low-cholesterol diet. By R.
370801 tn?1264408618 Work hard at working with it and try to boost my seratonan in other ways. I take high amounts of fish oil .. omega 3's and dha, vitamin d, liquid vitamin 12 and multivitamins ... I try to eat balanced and really healthy and exercise at least an hour to three every single day. Depression is something I have dealt with for most of my life and until now had no handle on. I didn't know I was severely depressed - I just thought that this was life and I was sensitive.
Avatar f tn I am also taking Dr Earl Mindrell's 4-Sight, and Carlson's Super Omega*3 Fish Oil Concentrate 1000 mg x's 1 week. My eye doc suggested the Systane (I have it on my shopping list - people shop for me) and preferred I look into Ocuvite or Macugen vs the 4-Sight (although he said 4-sight was fine too - missing Zinc which I get some but not enough in a liquid supplement OsteOmegaCare -for Osteoporosis, DDD and DDJ).
4274823 tn?1388532698 You wrote, "Can you get Free T3 added to the lab order for January? I know, in Canada, they don't like to do that because of your healthcare system." I hope so! I have also become concerned about getting enough Omega-3 as a vegetarian.I went to a couple recent free health talks at Goodness Me and I learned there's a plant based product (algae, etc) that's suppose to be as good as fish oil. This is suppose to be good for the skin ...
Avatar f tn Additionally, I take CoQ10 200 daily, a very comprehensive multi vitamin mineral complex that has other stuff too, Cod liver oil capsules and Omega 3 that is guaranteed to not have any fish oils from mercury contaminated fish. I eat organic fresh foods, am avoiding wheat products, and am eating organic meats once a day...mostly chicken, turkey, fish and a beefsteak once a week. I feel good, energy is fine.
1401023 tn?1280784958 Personally, having to take a spoonful a day as a kid, I will never touch the stuff in liquid form ever again. They do make it in pill/gelcap form now. I do take fish oil caps (as often as I remember) for my triglicerides and because it's generally good for you. I think it helps things move smoothly as well.
Avatar f tn ) OK I can buy that. While a diet high in fish sounds good (Omega-3 Fatty acids, etc,) not all fish is created equal. Bottom feeding catfish should only be consumed if farm raised. Wild catfish have high concentrations of PCBs and heavy metals. I'd also be careful with many ocean species, especially large predator fish and bottom dwellers.

1916673 tn?1420236870 I just wanted to add a brief bit of info as you mentioned starting giving Omega-3 to Chance. The best and cheapest Omega-3 is actually pure salmon oil (you only need give about half a teaspoon, so a standard bottle of about a litre lasts forever. The pills are fine, but usually a bit expensive, and omega-3 must be given according to dog size and weight as overdose can actually occur.

My prescirbed meds are: Synthroid, zoloft, methotrexate, diovan, metoprolol, and folic acid. of course it is not hard for me to miss a few per day!....
Avatar n tn I urge you to look into Flax seed oil(Barleans), and Fish oil. I am back on the regimen I used before tx...2 spoon of flax oil a day, and the days you eat out, take Fish oil capsules along...this way you get your daily supply of Omega 3 fatty acids, which are so beneficial for the skin. Also consider eating coconut. I am thinking about adding Aloe Vera juice, but that stuff looks so slimy, and I don't drink fruit juices, so I don't know how to get that stuff down.
Avatar m tn In the case that this is due to some circulation problems amongst most of us, from my research I recommend you all to start taking Omega-3 fish oils and L'arginine ethyl ester (helps increase and improve blood flow) on a daily basis. Further look into Ginko Biloba, but I'm unsure about the effectiveness of this. Also wrap a hot towel around your penis once a day.
Avatar n tn I have come to realize though, that this hair problems started a week after I started taking Natures Own Omega 3 ultra super strenght fish oil. Yes, I should have probably made the connection weeks ago but I didn't. I'm going to stop the fish oils and see if the hair returns to its non-greasy original state....
979080 tn?1323437239 Swanson didn't have a bargain this time. I am a bit ADDish myself and am finding I do a lot better if I take fish oil regularly and eat a lower carb diet with lots of healthier fat. (Not omega 6 ) I know the whole low carb thing is highly controversial but I have headed that direction with Joe in an effort to counteract his risk for insulin resistance and diabetes but in doing so, it has really helped me too.
280891 tn?1261016650 The American Journal of Preventative Medicine does not recommend pregnant women cut fish completely out of their diet, they recommend avoiding shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish. Not all fish have mercury concentrations and fish contains nutrients which are critical for the development of the baby and health of the mother. In addition, you are not realizing that each of these autoimmune disease are DIFFERENT diseases. They are not caused by mercury toxicity....
Avatar n tn Start with chicken broth, juice (fresh squeezed is best), and smoothies with flaxseed oil or Omega 3 fish oil. Avoid dairy, sugar, caffeine. Just put little tiny bits into your body at a time. Try to get as much fresh air and gentle exercise as possible and do these supplements: Vitamin C ascorbate with L-Lysine Vitamin B12 (injections are best, I get my man to give them to me daily) Omega 3 fish oil Probiotics (the live ones that you keep refrigerated) Melatonin and Tryptophan for sleep.
Avatar m tn I could not have my dogs eyes removed. If it came to that I would have to put him down. I can think of very little else that would be worse to a dog than losing its sight. One day I can see and next day my parents made me blind???? We have been trying Fish oil +Omega3. We had a check up after 3 weeks on Fish oil & it seemed he went from 2 STT to 4 STT But his eyes do not look any better we will find out in Feb when we recheck.
Avatar n tn H's normalizing day oil and I've been using it for 3 days. I can't really tell a difference, but I saw my dad today (after not seeing him for a couple days) and he mentioned that my eyelids looked better. So, thanks. Even if it didn't work it feels good, and healthier. I just wish Dr. H's products weren't so expensive.
Avatar f tn 3 in the morning • Natural Omega III EPA + DHA Fish Oil Concentrate by Windmill: 3 in the morning & 3 in the evening (I’m thinking these will help with skin healing so I take more at night) • 30c dulcamara from Boiron • 30c calcarea carbonica from Boiron The following items are newer additions to my regimen that preceded the recent clearing and improvements so if I had to guess, these turned the tide of the battle: • 250mg Curcuminoid 95+ by Vibrant Health: 2 in the morning • Immune Defen
Avatar n tn Simmeon says to eat white fish but in KT's book he is specific about the white fish being halibut, Chilean sea bass, flounder or sole. Is anyone following just Dr. Simmeon's protocol and if so are you eating other white fish like orange roughy or tilapia? We are going to Whole Foods together to get her stocked up for the week. Hope everyone's doing well!
Avatar f tn I made a mix of Hill's Critical Care with a little cream to thin it, some probiotics, and a drop of Omega 3 fish oils. She doesn't like it but is tolerating it. The vet wouldn't discuss medication with me - he looked bored of the whole thing - basically he said he has never heard of these symptoms and almost questioned whether she was in fact having them (because she had never eaten in hospital, so he had seen no evidence).
Avatar m tn Once ingested, the body converts ALA to EPA and DHA, the two types of omega-3 fatty acids more readily used by the body.
Avatar n tn be sure to get the Imodium AD in liquid or pill if she can't stomach the liquid (that would be me)! it helps with some of the w/d stuff as well.
Avatar n tn I am now very careful not to take any medicine that has naproxen in it. This was 3 years ago and I have not had a reaction in 3 years. I have read through everyone's comments on this thread. A lot of people have been talking about make up that may be causing the problem. Many have talked about using different lotions to help alleviate the pain and discomfort. They really need to keep track daily of medicines, foods, lotions, etc. to see what is triggering their attacks.
Avatar dr m tn Thus they can move about easier and the cellular membranes are indeed to be considered as a two dimensional fluid, in which proteins, receptors and many molecules that need to interact with each other in chance encounters have to be free to do so and with a low index of viscosity, because this will increase the speed, at which reactions of importance for the molecular physiology of membrane bound can happen.
