I use scissors and hold the capsule over his kibble - cut tip off and squeeze He seems to like the smell/taste of the oil on his kibble which is also fish based. This capsule is the same that I take, and the dose recommendation for a human (or any weight) is 3 per day. I can't say I see any improvement in his several problems conditions, but I figure it "can't hurt"...

The Omega 3 suppliment I was using was top grade from a health store. It cost twice as much as other formulas because of it higher quality. 6 full months of this Omega 3 experiment produced absolutly no improvement in my Severe depression. Perhaps my condition is more severe than your and that's why I failed to respond to it.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if Omega-3 helps heart arrythmias? It worked for me, but not for my 30 yr old daughter who suffers from PVCs. They can make life hellish but for the most part are benign - but definitely a quality of life issue. I would say avoid all cardiac stimulants like caffeine, nicotine, and believe it or not - anger and sentimental thoughts can cause arrythmias. You can deliver bad hormones into your own body that stimulate your heart by having scary, or sentimental thoughts.

It sounds wierd, but a friend on another website told me he took it trying to avoid having surgery and it relieved his pain within 2 days. I know Omega 3 is good for cholesterol issues but how could it work for pain? Any thoughts on this. Several others agreed with him and he said his doc recommended it. I started taking it today because I figured it can't hurt any. Let me know what you think.

These have led to an increase in my spots - a couple in new areas (cheek, jawline). Ive also notices the same when eating an excess of salmon. Just wondering if you could explain this? I am keen to balance out any hormone imbalance but i seem to have a sensitivity to omega 3, or perhaps is it iodine?

Some experts have said that the balance between Omega 6 fatty acids and Omega 3 is key, but just as many say this is nonsense. Omega 3 do have benefits, mainly reducing inflammation in the body, such as in the arteries or joints. It can also reduce your clotting factor if taken in too high doses, causing excessive bleeding.

Avatar f tn Sorry about the PVC, and I think Omega-3 is Omega-3, but the question remains: how many mg did you doctor want you to take a day? If it was 1,000 mg (1 g) then on the days you eat your quota of peanut butter you should not need to take a capsule. But, it could be a good idea to have a bottle on hand for the days you don't eat the required amount of peanut butter. Again, be sure you are getting the right dose. I take O3 capsules every day in a hope it will help with my AFib....
Avatar f tn Two months have past and during that time I began to take 2000mg Omega Fish oil to lower my 240 cholesterol. (I've been on Vytorin 10/20 for years). Abnormal heart rhythm sent me to the emergency room. When cardiac was ruled out, the doc said my TSH was 20. What happened? I did not skip any doses except on Sundays. Did the Omega 3 mess up my TSH levels. Now it seems my meds are not even working.
