Avatar m tn Accumulating evidence now supports the observation that a number of autoimmune diseases can be reversed by restoring VDR function (using the VDR agonist olmesartan) along with antibiotics. This includes rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosis, sarcoidosis, scleroderma, psoriasis, Sjogren's syndrome, autoimmune thyroid disease, and type I and II diabetes mellitus (Waterhouse et al., 2009; Proal et al., 2013).
Avatar m tn Furthermore, in healthy individuals, the VDR transcribes an enzyme called CYP24. CYP24 breaks down excess 1,25-D, ensuring that the level of 1,25-D in the body stays in the normal range. But in chronically ill individuals, the VDR (which is blocked by bacterial susbstances) can no longer transcribe CYP24. The level of 1,25-D in the body becomes significantly elevated since there is no CYP24 to keep it in check." You see where it says HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS>? how do you become healthy?
Avatar f tn Is there any reasons to prefer or take losartan above olmesartan or the olmesartan above losartan. Person taking these is african, 57 years, female and oh, my mother.
Avatar m tn Morning - Olmesartan (H) 40mg, Metoprolol Succinate Extended Release 25mg; Evening - Olmesartan 40mg, Metoprolol Succinate Extended Release 25mg. Now, I have been further prescribed for 30 days, which I have started taking: Eltroxin 25mg empty stomach & Zyloric 100mg after breakfast. Kindly advise further.
Avatar m tn In conclusion, this study proposes a new scenario in which the variability of the VDR gene is relevant in the aging process and emphasizes the role of VDR genetic background in determining healthy aging.
Avatar n tn Diuretics? I have been on Benicar (olmesartan) for many years, works very nicely. Amlodipinealso said to work nicely but may diminish your taste reception.
Avatar m tn Itemid=120 researchers have found that vitamin d needs oleic acids to bound to gcmaf which bounds to vdr receptor on immune cells influencing trl7 the most i have no idea if this form of vit d can be more active on hbv than normal vit d3, too early to say, but i think it would be useful if some members use this of course we need a member with vit d deficency so it is easier to see if there is any difference with normal vit d3, since latest human trials showing inactive carriers have high vit
Avatar m tn Initially was put on temisartan 40mg by Doc, used it for 3-4 months and later dosage was reduced to 20mg but later switched to another medicine, olmesartan medoxomil hydrochlorothiazide (20+12.5) and since then using the same tablet till recently My readings were pretty normal and infact my doc was convinced and wanted to reduce my dosage to only olmesartan medoxomil. Of late i have developed severe anxiety disorder and panic attacks, so started using Inderal 20 on the advice of Psychiatrist.
Avatar m tn i m already using green coffee, but vdr needs to be fully activated hbv is blocking vdr already too much by nagalase secretion where are the studies about green coffee and vdr?are they reliable?
Avatar m tn 1,25 According to dr Marshall, d25 suppresses the immune system by inactivating the VDR. It is only the 1,25 form that activates the VDR (= activation of immune system). http://mpkb.org/home/pathogenesis/vitamind VDR is downregulated by HIV, tuberculosis and other pathogens because VDR protects the body, so the pathogens found this way to weaken the protection. Taking D3 while already chronically sick (25D low, 1,25D high) actually helps the pathogens and shuts down the immune system.
9624973 tn?1413016130 it all depends on pth which is the correct dose because most of us have mutated vdr and of course no dairies you know calcium cannot be absorbed if there is none in your gut to be absorbed and so cannot rise in the blood plus that example is comletely wrong for sick patients that was of an healthy person with normal vitd kinetics and normal vdr i dont even check my vitd25oh anymore it can be from 1500 to 2000ng/ml by now but i only check my pth which will tell me when vit d is sufficent (when
Avatar f tn But Trevor figuring out that the chronic pathogens use the VDR to overcome innate immunity, and found an antagonist to reactive the VDR is pretty awesome. Without that knowledge the abx's would be worthless unless the person is still in the early stage of disease, for most of us Th1 patients though that would have been when we were still teenagers.
Avatar m tn good news for bad vdr receptors, look at the post below but as a general thing increased levels of vitamin d 25oh in serum can help and There is literature that suggests that carnosic acid can increases the expression of vitamin D receptors. Yasko for bypassing VDR ? In answer to your question about vitamin D...the VDR mutation that we are looking at results in a protein that is less active. To put this in terms that may be visually helpful for others reading this post...
Avatar m tn my next point will be to have vdr receptors genetic test to see if i am a fast responder or slow responder to gcmaf...but i have to find this test for free in a way or another because it is as expensive as 18 shots of gcmaf....
Avatar m tn He changed my meds and prescribed 40mg olmesartan while waiting for the results to ease the symptoms. After 3 days, chest pain and shortness of breath was significantly reduced however I became dizzy when standing from sitting or lying down position. Doctor said orthostatic hypotension but was probably just dehydrated. Tried to cut the dose to 20mg and dizziness went away but the chest pain came back. So went back to 40mg. Tests came back. ECG normal. Echocardiogram, normal ventricles.
2009161 tn?1327915695 My doctor prescribed me to have olmesartan 20 mg per day, however as it is an ARB (Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker), I have been having it since 3 years, I have a strange feeling in the morning of pain in chest and goes away in seconds. Please advice if ACE inhibitors at the age of 35 is good for me?
Avatar m tn OK, so I recently developed a cough that's dry, and feels bronchial in nature. I think it might be related to a new medication I started (olmesartan); however, I'm more interested in the pain that I get in my arm. I've had it in the past when I had similar coughs. It's a very specific, sharp pain that occurs only in the left arm above the elbow. It's positioned medially along the bicep near the distal biceps tendon almost to where the triceps is.
Avatar f tn 1. your very low D levels. 2. Having gained that extra weight, puts you at a higher risk of VDR 3. Should your cortisol levels be high, VDR is likely Vitamin D works synergistically with Magnesium and Vitamin K2. K2 is the easy one, so you can take it along with your D3. The higher the dose the more K2 you need. Magnesium levels (tissue not serum) are tough to increase because oral magnesium has a very poor absorption rate.
Avatar m tn The insights are based on molecular research showing that 25-D inactivates rather than activates its native receptor - the Vitamin D nuclear receptor or VDR. Once associated solely with calcium metabolism, the VDR is now known to transcribe at least 913 genes and largely control the innate immune response by expressing the bulk of the body's antimicrobial peptides, natural antimicrobials that target bacteria.
Gracias espero pronta respuesta.
181575 tn?1250198786 keeping high vit d 25oh and high gcmaf levels on patients with vdr receptors bb/FF, Bb/FF, bb/Ff during peginterferon.my guess is this can boost pegintf response and make peg sides much lighter. vdr BB/ff does not respond to vit d, gcmaf and a study on pegintf for hcv link this to poor response.
