When I consume antibiotics (like levooflaxin, ofloxacin), antiamoebics (ornidazole, metronidazole), I remain fine for the time period I consume the medicines. After end of treatment, Issues re-appear again. This is now happening very frequently (once every 2 weeks).
I do not smoke, drink or use any other obnoxious drug.
I had IBS like symptoms previously, but they worsened after I took a course of antibiotics (ofloxacin + ornidazole) for an infection...can it be related ?
Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours. So far, the irritation when I'm urinating and the tingling has subsided significantly. My question is, shall I still continue taking the ofloxacin until the 7th or 10th day from the day I started taking it?
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
If all of this has to do with the Ofloxacin, is the dermatological response still to treat the symptoms of the rash with the Doxycycline, or is there a medical way to counter all of these effects (if due to some sort of Ofloxacin reaction or build up of yeast in the body)? Many questions, sorry to be so exhaustive, your help/advice would be so greatly appreciated.
I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?

Reinfection isn't really the problem as after my diagnosis I haven't had any sexual contacts.
The doctor told me that I have to continue with the treatments with metronidazole or ornidazole until I'm healed, this is the only way.
Some trichomonas infections will resolve over time.. do you mean that it may pass by itself?

I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. About 10-12 days later I noticed a burning sensation in the tip of my penis (it felt similar to when soap gets in the urethra). The burning intensified over the next few days. Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.
I was diagnosed with gonorrhea and trichomoniasis this Tuesday. I started taking Ornidazole (500 mg two times a day) the same day and received a single dosis of Trobicin (spectinomycin hydrochloride) by IM injection on Wednesday. Now I notice that I have some blood in my urine and the pains in the penis tip are still very sharp. Is the blood in urine one of the possible symptoms for an inflammation or is this something that I have to report back to my doctor?
