I got severe stomach pain on jan 24 and next day the scanning result is that i got 2 small calculi in right kidney and hydronephrosis of left kidney with uretric caliculas. i was prescribed kmac syrup(potassium citrate & magnesium citrate oral solution), brakke (ofloxacin and ornidazole) tablets , hifenac spas(aceclofenac and drotaverine hydrochloride tablets) taking which i suffered constipation severely then i guessed may be the side effects of above drugs. i took them day after day.

When I consume antibiotics (like levooflaxin, ofloxacin), antiamoebics (ornidazole, metronidazole), I remain fine for the time period I consume the medicines. After end of treatment, Issues re-appear again. This is now happening very frequently (once every 2 weeks). I do not smoke, drink or use any other obnoxious drug.

I had IBS like symptoms previously, but they worsened after I took a course of antibiotics (ofloxacin + ornidazole) for an infection...can it be related ?

I have been the urologist several times for re-current symptoms, and he always prescribes Cipro, which I despise. Seems to be very recurrent and I am not able to eliminate the symptoms no matter what I do. The Cipro does help, but should I really be taking this for extended periods of time. At one point I was on it for months and believe I became immune to it. The side effects are also terrible. Tried Prosta Q supplement and it was very hard on my system so I stopped. Any suggestions.

After having unprotected sex the head of my penis got itchy in the inside of the hole and had a very little amount of discharge. I searched the net to find the answer and the closest to my symptom is urethritis. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours.

I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. About 10-12 days later I noticed a burning sensation in the tip of my penis (it felt similar to when soap gets in the urethra). The burning intensified over the next few days. It does not hurt when I urinate and no need to urinate more than normal. There is no discharge - just a slight whitish mucous visible only if I squeeze the tip. Co-worker has no symptoms.

For ofloxacin to adequately treat chlamydia, and maybe NGU, 7 days is needed.

On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. is it possible that the rash is the result of taking the Ofloxacin, and more specifically, perhaps the result of a build up of bacteria (yeast)? If so, will taking the Doxycycline clear up the rash, or will it just increase the amount of yeast bacteria build up, and thus worsen a rash that could be the result of excess candida in the body?

I and my husband received IV continous infusion Clindamycin treatment times 7 days and the followup testing showed we were both positive with clamydia. I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise.

I contracted NGU through oral sex and was prescribed 10 days of Ofloxacin. I had urine test at 21 after the last pill which came out negative. My question is if it was too early to test? I still have clear discharge 1-2 times per week in the morning.

I checkeed with thedoctor with test report of urinalysis and blood CBC. In Urine,they found WBC of 33 and no bacteria..Gave me ofloxacin for 1more week. I checked with a dermatologist and they said there was no rash or red spots in the penis After a couple of days,i had itching on anus and a bit of burning sensation...can i get this in anus entrance too?? pls reply...also suggest the best test to determine for hepes...and how long should i wait..

bit I think I will try it. I was thinking of taking the outbeeak dosage starting the day of my infusion and for a few days after. but I would talk ti my doctor first.

I am blind in my right eye and although I suffer from a slipped cataract lens in my left eye which causes some problems with light catching the top of the lens, the vision in that eye nevertheless is 20/20. Recently I was prescribed an ear drop ofloxacin which I understand is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which can cause double vision. After using the drug for 10 days I have developed double vision in my good eye which is very worrying.

I have been on my insulin pump for about 7 months now and within the last two weeks every time I change my infusion set the old site has a yellow bruise left and some dried blood. Is this something to be worried about? Am I not changing my infusion set soon enough? Thanks for your help.
