One thing that worries me, I read in some websites, Ofloxacin will mask Syphilis test or symptoms. And I think, Inoflox is Ofloxacin? How about Amoxicilin and Zinnat? My concern is all these antibiotics might mask the Syphilis infection, if I was infected from the exposure causing false negative in the test.
Need your advice on this, doctor. What should I do next?

nd the dr. gave me antibiotics doxycycline and inoflox..after ive done w/ doxycycline medication i undergo another semen analysis and the result is the pus cells present is now 15-21hpf..my urine culture test found bacteria which is STAPHYLOCOCCUS HAEMOLTYTICUS.. 1) do i have std? or HIV? can you pls help me.. thank you so much!
What do you think if I had incubating syphilis at the time, would Ofloxacin had cleared this one up as well (I stared medication 6 days after incident)? I had negative Syphilis TPHA 5 weeks (7+ weeks from exposure) after the last dose of Ofloxacin.

from all the antibiotics i finished and took, i find ofloxacin the most effective. is it safe to take ofloxacin again for 7 days, twice a day? or will the bacteria i have get immuned to it? im planning to go to the doc tomorrow and probably ask for a injection this time and std check up if they can.

Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.
I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. About 10-12 days later I noticed a burning sensation in the tip of my penis (it felt similar to when soap gets in the urethra). The burning intensified over the next few days. It does not hurt when I urinate and no need to urinate more than normal. There is no discharge - just a slight whitish mucous visible only if I squeeze the tip. Co-worker has no symptoms.
I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?
This places become red and itchi now and this can be cured without medication or I should go to a doctore. The infection is not too intensive but slit irritating. Please advice soon i will be highly thankful to you.
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
i sometimes have symptoms of my urine flow getting weaker and weaker. also from all the medication i took, i find ofloxacin the most effective, is it safe to take them again for 7 days, twice a day? or will the bacteria get immune to it? i would go back to the clinic tomorrow to discuss everything.
plus the worst part of my symptoms is the frequent urination. i feel like i have to pee every after 20 mins when i move or stand up.

Part of me thinks that taking so much of that antibiotic, perhaps unnecessarily, has led to a persistent rash on my forehead. The rash looks a bit like acne - small, red bumps, with slight blackheads - but looks scaly, dry, and really just like a number of small, spread out red bumps.
As I am currently situated in China and am not too confident of the Chinese hospitals, I visited an International Medical Center where the doctor diagnosed a Chlamydia infection. There was only a urine sample test done and I was prescribed Ofloxacin. My itch and discharge cleared up after I was done with the medication, 4 x 100 mg tablets, 2 times daily for 5 days.
5 yrs started complaining of stomach pain and diarrhea four days back when the doctor prescribed ofloxacin and metronidazole suspension which had some effect in the first two days but worsened later.
Subsequently we got his stool examined which tested positive with RBCs, mucous, pus cells and tiny specs of blood. The docter then gave ofloxacin and ornidazole suspension.
I need to make a firm decision on medication today. Doxycycline, Ofloxacin or perhaps both. I kindly request your view given this additional information.
Slightly unrelated, does the lack of symptom improvement 2 days post Suprax indicate gonorrhea wasn't the cause.

I sent in a semen sample and it came back with the enterococcus faecalis infection so I am on amoxycillin. Thing is i have had a course of Ofloxacin, Amoxycillin (low dose) and another antibiotic.
My current Amoxycillin is 3 tablets per day, 500mg each tablet, so 1500 per day for one month, 4 weeks. I am now onto week two and still have the pain dispite the medication.
i took ciprofloxacin (500mg) for 2 days and ofloxacin (400mg) for 4 days.. the pain was gone but im a bit of confused because there is still this white discharge that comes out of my penis when i try to push my penis up. could someone explain to me what this is? im really confused and i want this gone. thanks.
DRE (which, incidentally and wrongly was done after FNAC) revealed a slight firmness (no nodule) on the right side. I took a long course of ofloxacin which dropped the PSA to 12.75 after 3 months.
I continued the ofloxacin hoping for further improvement, but after 6 more weeks the PSA remained the same.
I am an Asian, no family history of PCa, and have no symptoms yet.
What should be my next course of action? Should i get treated for BPH (?dutasteride) and see the results?
