The only definite symptom is a red and inflamed tip of my penis which has been constant for the 10 weeks and I have tested negative for clamydia, gonnerhea, a uti and nsu as well as positive for a uti and nsu over the 10 weeks. The latest test last week showed no uti but showed ten wbc from a penis swab so obviously still inflammation present. It hurts after masturbating and urinating but is only red and sore and the rest of the time I barely notice it.
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
The doctor put me back on Ofloxacin for 2 more weeks and gave me Terramycin ointment to rub into my urethra 3 times a day. Again the symptoms subsided completely but returned a week after ending the treatment.
I went to a different urologist who switched me to a week of Doxycycline (100mg x2 a day) and a followup back on Ofloxacin and to stop the Terramycin.
I get a urinalysis that says I have a slightly high bacteria count, which could account for a UTI. I also got a DNA Gon/Chlamydia test, which came back negative. I saw a urologist also, just in case. He puts me on Ofloxacin for a week. After about a week I feel better. My wife and I have sex, with her giving me oral sex. Coincidentally, about 5-7 days later she starts to complain that her throat and ear are burning, and at the same time my symptoms return.
I am 27 years old without any current illnesses, non-smoker and am not pregnant. Approximately 2 years ago I was diagnosed with UTI, and was prescribed Zinat by my G.P. Within 2 days following the treatment I felt a significant improvement. About 6 months after this problem recurred, I was prescribed the same antibiotic drug (without being cultured).
from all the antibiotics i finished and took, i find ofloxacin the most effective. is it safe to take ofloxacin again for 7 days, twice a day? or will the bacteria i have get immuned to it? im planning to go to the doc tomorrow and probably ask for a injection this time and std check up if they can.
Yes ,the culture report shows there is no UTI,--I took Piricin600 for 5 days-then the burning sensation decreased--[-I think it was ofloxacin group of antibotic--;]--ofcourse I have taken Alkali mixture thnking it was UTI--now since 2 days I did not take it--day before yesterday I went fr urination 25 times!
yesterday was little better--but today is not good.
I got severe stomach pain on jan 24 and next day the scanning result is that i got 2 small calculi in right kidney and hydronephrosis of left kidney with uretric caliculas. i was prescribed kmac syrup(potassium citrate & magnesium citrate oral solution), brakke (ofloxacin and ornidazole) tablets , hifenac spas(aceclofenac and drotaverine hydrochloride tablets) taking which i suffered constipation severely then i guessed may be the side effects of above drugs. i took them day after day.
t have Std testing center here in our place except for hiv test which i get negative result. I just finished taking ofloxacin 400mg 3x a day for 7 days. But my semen still looks green and very sticky gelly. Will it took a week before it turns white? Or should i take cefixime 400mg plus 1g azithromycin already?
In addition I did another calculation and actually I tested negative for Mycoplasma 25 days after taking Ofloxacin. I learnt that Urine tests are pretty accurate so I strongly believe that I do not have ngu any more. But what conserns me is continuos clear discharge after I wake up. That has now happened 4 days in a row. I know that because my penis head is moist. I do not see it happening during the day - even if I have long breaks between urinating.
week 1 azithromycin, week 3 metronidizole, week 5 low dose oxytetracycline , 6 weeks nitrofuratoin as at this visit a uti culture came back positive. A retest for a uti one week later was negative but my symptoms were unchanged throughout all treatments. After my last positive nsu swab last week I was given ofloxacin 200g for 7 days and aciclover to cover hsv although I have no other symptoms of hsv other than an inflamed urethra.
This problem have been going on and off for the past 3 months.It goes for a few days then everything is normal for a few days then it comes back again etc
My symptoms are
tingling burning feeling while masturbating
weak ejaculation it just flows out instead of shooting out like it does when things are normal
burning feeling after ejaculation sometimes after urination
Frequent urination
Can a DR please advise me what this can be?
After having unprotected sex the head of my penis got itchy in the inside of the hole and had a very little amount of discharge. I searched the net to find the answer and the closest to my symptom is urethritis. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours.
Told to go to urologist who though may be UTI or left over Chlamydia or one of the other 1000 bacteria that are not tested for on a standard std exam, was given uribel, doxycycline and ofloxacin.
started experiencing chills sleeplessness and nervelike pain under testicles that ran around and down back of thigh.
Sounds like a UTI to me, and it has nothing to do with washing before or after sex.
She needs to see her doctor, though, as she'll need an antibiotic if its a UTI.
I told her about the update to my problem. She gave me Inozole (not sure of the spelling) and ofloxacin for my uti. I took the medicine but still my uti and discharge is not going away. This time the itch is gone and my discharge is greenish. Went to see a new doctor. I had TVS (they suspected I had PID) my organs were normal. Thanks God. They gave me Metronidazole again and another tablet for uti. Now my discharge is like snot. I recently went to a new doctor and had gramstain.
I know I've had BV for a couple of months (since I finished a course of antibiotics for previous UTI caused by e.coli). The odor after intercourse is a clear sign. I did not want to see my doctor AGAIN for a problem "down there" , so I just lived with it. Now I have another UTI! Preliminary path. report states:" 50x10(6) CFU/L Gram negative Bacilli. Identification and susceptibility to follow. " I really don't want to go on meds again, but probably have no choice.
s worth of Ofloxacin oral to help fight what was perceived to be chronic prostatitis. Part of me thinks that taking so much of that antibiotic, perhaps unnecessarily, has led to a persistent rash on my forehead. The rash looks a bit like acne - small, red bumps, with slight blackheads - but looks scaly, dry, and really just like a number of small, spread out red bumps.
I had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago. About 4 days after, I started feeling a slight tingly in my penis and urinating more frequently. I went to the doctor who did urine tests and gonorrhea and chlamydia culture. All came back negative but they prescribed me Doxycycline anyway. About 4 days into the treatment, my symptoms began going away and by day 8 of the treatment, I felt like I was healed. However, the day after completing the Doxycycline, I began feeling pain in my penis again.
- Does antibiotics slow down the appearance of symptoms as I had Cefodroxyl (full dose for the Cough that I had and then Satranidazole and Ofloxacin for the Urinary Tract Infection?
- Also, Is it psychological or maybe due to anxiety that I feel that something is getting strethced in my groin and armpits, although there is no apparent painful swelling?
Pl. suggest, are these idicators of HIV or it just coincidence that I have had all this?
I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise. Chronic UTI have been present since four days into our marriage, always after intercourse times eleven years. I am allergic to sulfa and pcn.
