Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
hi, iv been taking yasmin for a few months now, and i was on a previous pill before that but had a bad reaction to it hence had to change. anyway last month i started bleeding before my week off, so i kept taking the pill on my week off because i didnt want to have a 'period' for 2 weeks. then this month on my week off, nothing happened, no bleeding at all.
Wow, that is ridiculous. Did Lybrel work at all before this started happening - i.e., did it work for a few months, and then stop? I've heard that it can cause some breakthrough bleeding/spotting, but not bleeding every day! Sheesh, that *****. It's really new, and though it's FDA approved, I was skeptical when I heard about it.
I'd go back to your doc... Don't give up, there is probably a pill out there that can make your periods more manageable.

Does anyone know if the pill can cause anxiety issues. I recently (within the last few months) switched to Ocella and within the last month my anxiety has begun to control my life. I know I always had issues, but they were minor and manageable and now there not.
If yes, you should not get pregnant from the condom incident and should continue to take the pill. If you have not been good about taking the pill, you may have gotten pregnant from the broken condom and you can decided whether or not you want to continue to take the pill. If you are pregnant and continue to take the pill, it can possibly cause a miscarriage. And if you want to, buy a home pregnancy test and take it 2 weeks from the time the condom broke, in order for the test to be accurate.
My boyfriend and I are sexually active, we've been together for about 2 years. I am on birth control (Ocella) but, he always pulls out before ejaculating. He's never "busted" inside of me. I haven't missed a period, but do you think I'm at all possible of being pregnant?

I have been on the pill for four cycles now. Before the pill I had the body of a teenage boy to be honest, almost no boobs and athletic, but skinny. I'm 5'2" and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with me. The ER doc said it might be endometriosis or my birth control pill that is causing it. If anyone is taking Ocella have you had this problem before? and what do I need to do?
#2 I have been taking my birth control, Ocella (28 pills) for 1 month, if I stop taking it will my periods come back since they were absent for so long? I have had 1 period so far, since I started my BC. I got my period on the 23rd of this month.
#3 can I still get pregnant, if I dont have my period after I stop taking the pill?
I'm not exactly sure when I could predict ovulation.
At the end of September I was switched from Syeda to Ocella. I was about two weeks late picking up my prescription. On October 5th I was sexually active and it was during the first week of my pill pack. I ended up starting my withdraw bleed during the third week of my active pills. It was light and spotty, only when I wiped. It lasted 10 days.
About three days into the spotting I got sore breasts, which I have never gotten before.
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...

Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.

But now she stopped Aldactone and gave me Birth Control Pill ( Ocella, its generic of Yasmin). But How long can I take this BCP I am not sure.
My period are always been so frequent since they started ( in the age of 13). Recently my doc took vaginal and abdominal ultrasound. She found that I have Poly cystic ovaries. But she told me that I don't have PCOS as my periods are very frequent.
My doc took all the test. First they took my blood sample, and then gave me a injuction of Cortrosyn.

Ever since I came off the 150mcg fentanyl patch 33 days ago , I got my lovely mentrual period and I have been on the bc pill since I was 16 b/c I have polycystic ovarian syndrome with insulin resitance. Well since I got it this past monday, I have been having severe cramps, non-stop migraines. I had suffered from these migraines before for years and it they only get bad when im on certain bc pills.
