Common Questions and Answers about Ocella and pelvic pain

Avatar f tn When I was on Ocella I had the WORST breast pain for the full 2 weeks before my period. Due to the pain and the depression I suffered while on Ocella I switched to Reclipsen. I still have slight breast tenderness the week before my period, but it's so slight that it doesn't even bother my that much. Some months, I don't even have the pain at all. Speak to your doctor if the pain doesn't subside during the next few cycles. You may need to switch brands.
Avatar f tn The only medicine she was taken was the birth control pill, Ocella. She was overweight, and at times showed signs of high blood pressure, otherwise healthy. I want to know if there is any relation between seizures and birth control pills. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if switching birth control pills could have helped maximize the anxiety. I switched from yaz to ocella and have only been on ocella for a few months and the anxiety started like a month ago.
Avatar f tn Did you make sure to give the pills (when you tried both ocella and lybrel) a few cycles to work? I know it's annoying, and in the mean time you have a life to contend with... But sometimes it takes a while for these things to work. It's weird that ocella (generic Yasmin, I think) would make you bleed, because that is usually one they give to women who have problems with breakthrough bleeding. How long did you try it before you quit?
Avatar f tn I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
5395363 tn?1367334419 Okay, I am on the birth control Ocella and I just got done with my period a week or so ago. My boyfriend and I had sex sunday and he came in me, then yesterday we did it twice and he came in me both times. I'm worried about possibly being pregnant. Is it possible to get pregnant even if i take my pill everyday at the same time all the time??
Avatar f tn I recently had an ultrasound which showed I have a 7.4 cm cyst on my right ovary and a 2.5 cm cyst on my left ovary. I had been having painful periods for about 8 months. It was sort of a dull, burning pain mostly in my right hip, but spread through my whole abdomen during periods.
16937716 tn?1452679830 Genital pain (penile pain in men)• some times pain at the tip and shaft of the penis is a common symptom • penile pain is sometimes accompanied with a redness at the tip Testicle pain or discomfort • Testicular pain/discomfort is particularly miserable and scary • Pain/discomfort is felt in one testicle or another • Sometimes the cremaster muscles pull up the testicles or penis, especially when the anal sphincter is sore and this can be very disconcerting
Avatar n tn Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
Avatar n tn But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?
Avatar f tn Gianvi is the same formulation as Yaz, execept in generics fillers are different. Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better. 10. My MIND is a lot cleared on YAZ but the side effects and physical effects are unhealthy and I have not been able to engage in excercise etc because of the symtoms.
Avatar n tn I was having these symptoms about three months ago, and colonoscopy was done about one month later when another episode began, the biopsies came out normal and of course last week I found out why.
Dinosaur I am on birth control pills and continued from one pack to the next skipping the placebo and reduced hormone pills that are normally taken for 5-7 days. I did this for 4 months straight. I'm not sure how concerned I should be.
2062192 tn?1333714423 Im 33 weeks and 2 days and im just curious if anyone else has had this. even laying down I have a good bit of pressure almpst like she's pushing on my cervix and my pelvic area actually hurts now regardless of my position.
Avatar f tn A week after my withdraw bleed my breasts were still sore and I got really bad nausea and dizziness just at night when I laid down. That turned into diarrhea for two days. Now, my breasts are sore all over and my nipples are tender to touch. Every now and then I get a pinching sensation in my breasts near my nipples. The nausea has been gone for about two days, and the dizziness hasn't been too bad. Could this be pregnancy or is something wrong?
Avatar n tn Although they claim to not have any difference, I was on Yasmin (brand name) for a while and then was switched too Ocella (Generic) and I did notice slight changes in my period. In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn im also 14 and on ocella, a birthcontrol pill, the pills DO NOT stop your period, it just makes it less then a usual week, mine is 5 days. Now the DEPO shot, you may have your period non stop for about a month, the horomnoes in the shot finishes cleaning you out...
Avatar f tn Im 34 weeks today! I'm having so much pain and pressure in my lower pelvic/stomach area and my back is killing me. What could this be?
Avatar f tn Yup I have it too. Im 36 weeks and im in soooo much pain. I tryed stretching in mornings and jsut b4 I go to bed and that seems to help a lil..
Avatar n tn My wife also had radiation for rectal cancer about 10yrs ago and was radiated through both hips the rectum and the vagina. She now has pain in the lower region of her vagina and it comes and goes but lately has gotten worse. The pain varies from a very bruised feeling and at times with some pain radiating down the legs. At other times she has a sensation of feeling like she has fine cactus needles on the surface of the skin where her vaginal hair is.
539750 tn?1226521677 It also caused the same stabbing pain in my pelvic area. I went to the ER and the DR said was an ovarian cyst. Since then I have been told it can't be that because I am on birth control and the pain is not localized to either the right or left side. I even had an internal ultrasound which came back normal. Normally the pain will last for a day or two, sometimes just an hour. Usually movement, like stretching, or deeply inhaling will trigger it. About a week ago I got the pain again.
Avatar f tn Its pelvic girdle pain or SPD its caused by your pelvis opening I've had it since week 24 and I'm now 38 weeks I use a maternity belt for it when I mentioned it to the nurse at a check up she referred me to a physio therapist I was there among other women who had what I had. Also this is my 2nd pregnancy and I never once experienced it and I carrying my little boy. So its not something every women gets as my mam had nine and never once had it.
Avatar f tn This is my third child and the first with constant pelvic pain. I honestly don't know what else I can do. My left hip/public bone hurts! It makes walking almost impossible and I climb the stairs like my 75 year old grandma. It doesn't feel like growing pains. I continue to stretch, take baths, and tylenol. Is there anything else I can do? I'm at my breaking point.
Avatar f tn It depends on the pain your feeling and where exactly in your pelvis, my baby hasn't fully dropped but I'm 60% effaced and a little over 1cm dilated. I had pelvic pain too and that's what my doctor told me was happening.
