Hello.. I been on Ocella for almost 2 months. and ever since I started taking it my breast have been very sore, there are days where I can not even sleep or stand having my bra on thru out the day. They hurt if I touch them, run or make any fast move. I did get my period which it was not that heavy being that I hadnt had a period for over a year. Could that be the problem?
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
I had my last period Oct 31 for a day . No period in Nov. Im on Pill and I forgot to take It twice but doubled up like they say. No period in Nov. I took a pv test and it was neg. I took two more one did not have an answer the data other neg. I have 3 kids already. My concern is stil no period but somr pain on right side here and there. I go to my obgyn in a few days.
I had faith on this pill. My period started on Feb. 11 while on Lybrel and I have menstrual staining, occassional bleeding, every single day. Good thing I am single, if not my partner would have been really sick and tired of this! Ending my periods is hopeless, I've been thinking of asking for a hysterectomy or just getting my ovaries removed. I don't want anymore children.
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.

Thanks for all of your feedback! I was feeling more than a little stressed about the situation. I am now 6 days late but am pretty much convinced it is my pills. I am actually on Gianvi after being on Yaz and after reading some message boards am seeing that a number of women are experiencing similar symptoms after switching to this generic. The basic hormones are the same in both brands, but not the compounds that make up the pill.
idk, it just makes me super nervous. I just freak out. Since I freak so much, it's a sign we should just not have sex. I mean, until I'm ready to be a mother! That would be the best thing to do, but thanks for your reply, it makes me at ease. And, no I haven't missed a pill. I've missed maybe one this month, like I took it a little late, but we didn't have sex because of that..
I noticed a couple small bumps on my nipples and they are slightly darker than they were before all this. I have no idea when my next period should be since I am so messed up haha. What has got me the most confused is that the spotting I had lasted for 10 days and that seems a little much to me. And thank you for the help too! :) I'm going to pick up a test next time I go to the store.

The spotting always looked brown, and was thicker and darker than period blood. Last month I spotted that brown stuff all month long. That's when I went and saw my Dr's PA and had the ultrasound. Since then I have had two short conversations with the PA. She's NOT very helpful, and that's why I am here. I need info. She can't tell me what kind of cysts I have, only the size. She can't or won't explain the spotting.
I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?

When i was using heavily there was months that i would actually skip a period here and there. After i detoxed and was clean my periods did get pretty bad along with the cramps but after a few months of that it did work itself back out. The cramps are still bad but you have to remember...you have no pain meds in your system. Hope this helped. Take care of yourself! hope you feel better soon!
But now she stopped Aldactone and gave me Birth Control Pill ( Ocella, its generic of Yasmin). But How long can I take this BCP I am not sure.
My period are always been so frequent since they started ( in the age of 13). Recently my doc took vaginal and abdominal ultrasound. She found that I have Poly cystic ovaries. But she told me that I don't have PCOS as my periods are very frequent.
My doc took all the test. First they took my blood sample, and then gave me a injuction of Cortrosyn.
I was having these symptoms about three months ago, and colonoscopy was done about one month later when another episode began, the biopsies came out normal and of course last week I found out why.
