Avatar f tn Ive heard to avoid these unless heated up.. im craving jimmy johns or some fresh deli meat! And i want it cold... are these something i need to avoid or just the packaged stuff?
Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar f tn Myth. I have been craving Jimmy johns since I got pregnant. But I haven't eaten it.
Avatar n tn I have tried many alternative therapies and none of them have worked for me. I have bipolar illness and anxiety. I think that a person just has to find the correct medication to help make them feel better.

Avatar f tn i was always under the impression in the past there wasnt much nutritional value in b.m after 12 months. addison is now almost 13 months and while her vitamins are mostly from her foods she is still at the breast. how long is it something that she benefits from? im in no hurry to wean her, and she has no intentions she is very much in love with her boob lol, but im curious. she seems to be more and more dependant on the breast to fall asleep too, which i need to break.
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
Avatar n tn Also they say heat up any lunch meats you eat because of bacteria and they say stay away from like subway and jimmy johns and that kind of thing. Also staying away from soda and super sugary drinks, upping the veggies and fruits and stuff obviously, taking your prenatals help make up for things you don't eat enough of and if anything your doctor can give you recommendations on any extra vitamins you might need and/or diets that work best for your lifestyle.
649848 tn?1534633700 OMG NOOOOOOO! I'm from Orlando Florida but where I earn a living is somewhat near Mobile Alabama. I lose weight every year so I look slamming for my special someone that I see every year. The second part why I lose weight is to eat my way across Orlando at all the restaurants that they just don't have on my side of the gulf coast.
325405 tn?1262290178 I think if you freeze it, you would take away from the nutritional value. You could get the same nutritional value from eating bean sprouts on a salad. Would be easier for you.
1417802 tn?1282173063 Sorry to hear about your treatment not being effective.are you going to be treating again with the new DAA"s that are going to be coming out soon? There are many elixir"s and supplements people are taking for nutritional value and some it seems have value in regards to keeping liver counts (enzyme )readings lower. If the Hepa feels their is no harm ,and markers don"t rise..then yes nothing to lose Keep us informed and good luck.. Will.
Avatar f tn I was thinking about getting a turkey unwich from Jimmy Johns today.
349463 tn?1333571576 In general, it is recommended that breastfed babies wait until closer until 6 months to maximize the benefits of breastmilk. Basically, rice cereal has no nutritional value- it is empty calories. Giving it to your baby takes the place of nutritional milk. It also can contribute to diabetes and obesity because it trains the baby to fill up on empty calories. The studies are interesting. If you do introduce it by spoon, it is to begin introducing the baby to taste and texture.
1102283 tn?1257817472 We dont really know how St Johns Wort works, but it seems clear that it works very well. When you buy St. Johns Wort supplements, you should look for a label that says it contains at least 0.3 percent of Hypericin and Pseudohypericin. The usual dosage is 300 mg to 1800 mg per day of the 0.3 per cent extract. Side effects are mainly minor gastrointestinal complaints and mild allergic reactions like itching.
14949743 tn?1440694796 I have been told you can eat deli meats and hams if they are heated to steaming hot, never eat them cold. I feel your pain, I haven't had Jimmy Johns in 4 months. It was my favorite place ever.
Avatar m tn I am curious if I am still getting the same nutritional value from the uncooked oats as if I were cooking them?
7987584 tn?1409244036 I was told by my doctor that I should stay away from deli meat because it could be contaminated with bacteria called listeria but I love publix subs and jimmy johns and firehouse just subs in general! I admit I have given in a couple times now :/ any other moms finding it hard to give up subs?
Avatar f tn Generally, you should try to eat things that have varied nutritional value and things considered 'healthy' but some cheesecake here and there doesn't hurt.
Avatar f tn Well, graham crackers (also lacking nutritional value) also have a lot of sugar in them. Those would be a trigger food for me. Instead, I eat things like nuts, dried fruit mixed. Some cheese. Tortilla chips with salsa or guacamole. A hard boiled egg. Fruit. Those help you feel full and are nutritional. that's the key.
1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
581954 tn?1223391496 I also heard about St. Johns Wort, but don't take it with anything else. You can go to a bookstore and read about it first. The books will give you more details on it and along with the side effects.
Avatar f tn You can eat them but you have to eat some thing else with them because they have NO nutritional value for you or baby.
Avatar f tn Im craving Twinkies and rock candy right now!
