As always it stopped my discomfort, depressed my already low blood pressure and I went to sleep for about 3 hours. I've used nitroquik for the past 3 months or so and it always stops the pain and gives me relief within minutes. It makes me wonder if nitroglycerin is part of anyone's MS drug protocol? Just wondering a lot these days.....

I am 21 and have very low blood pressure. 2 days ago it was 60/30. I fainted though I was taking IV . It is not that usual for me. But once or twice a year I get low BP it starts from 90/60 and goes down to 60/30 or similar. I got my blood tested but nothing shows. One year ago I got my heart checked but nothing is wrong with my heart, the doctors say. I am twin and some doctors say its because of that. But is it possible to have heart problems but it doesnt show during the checking?!

I noticed that I wasn't having chest pains a few hours after I took the viagra. Then I didn't have angina for over a day. Once I felt a little chest pain, I took another viagra and no angina. I've been taken viagra for over 2 weeks and no angina. I even have been doing cardio with no chest pain whatsoever.

The sublingual nitroglycerin seems to work to relieve the pain/pressure when it occurs but I am still conerned over the shortness of breath and fatigue along with a low temperature..95 and widely varying resting heart rate... 46 to 78 and widely variable resting blood pressure 148/98 to 102/70 thirty minutes later. What further testing, if any, would you suggest?

I also have 3 valves that regurgitate, mild dilatition of the right ventricular the right atrium LVEDP mildly increased RVSP mildly increased at rest and increased when exercising. The calcium channel blocker makes my blood pressure on the low side and heart rate low around 4l. I just started the meds. a couple of days ago. I have a long way to go with all of these problems. I woke up this morning and now my bp is 185/110. Can withdrawal of the nitro patch cause high blood pressure, even though I've only been taking it for three days now?

My cardiologist thinks the the probability of me having an occluded/blocked coronary artery is very low. My question is, why then am I responding to the nitroglycerin, it being a vasodilator (widens the blood vessels)??? Gastritis and GERD have been ruled out. the doctor thinks it could be anxiety then shouldn't they be giving me a sedative or relaxant as opposed to a vasodilator? I was on Lopressor for blood pressure control for several years and was in the same situation as yourself -- my heart rate was too low, and my blood pressure was still too high. But why are you on the nitro patch? If you've had a heart attack, if you have angina, if you have an arrhythmia, or if you have congestive heart failure, there may be another reason besides blood pressure control for your doctor to prescribe Lopressor.

i have been diagnosed with spastic angina. i have blood pressure 116 over 72 angiogram shows no problem with cholesterol 2.5 on test. i have been given norvasc and lipitol ?

In March of this year I went to my regular physcian for left arm pain, she did an EKG and called an ambulance. At the hospital I had all the test, blood workup, Echo, EKG, they said everything was fine. They did tell me that my sugar and tryglycerides were too high. They sent me home with prescriptions for Lopressor, Lisinipril, Metformin and Tricor. I had a nuclear stress test done in April and it came back fine too. They took me off the Lopressor.

These were specifically for the cold hands and feet, not for high blood pressure, as mine has always been low (90/60). The Norvasc was tried for 30 days with no improvement. Nerve conduction studies ruled out nerve damage so arteriorgram of upper extremities was recommended. My results per radiologist was "Severe Vasospasms" When they injected the dye into the artery they could not see anything. However, when nitroglycerin was administered everything showed up...no blockage.

m hesitant on taking the Amlodipine because it lowers blood pressure and mine is already low. As far as drinking, I wouldn't advise it especially with the Isosorbide, that is basically Nitroglycerin in a daily form. I'm not a Doctor but I hope this helps you! Good luck.

The same with his recent heart catherization was chest pressure. In the ER he was given 2 nitroglycerin, 5 minutes apart, the chest pressure went away after the 2nd nitroglycerin. Does any good specialist in cardiology think that my husband should have the open heart surgery for bypasses considering the risks regarding his age, his diabetes? ve learned about blood pressure about the past year though that 112 / 70 is not too low and some might even say it's ideal to have those numbers. You can always ask your doctor for more information but as I understand, unless your numbers go below 80 / 50 or you're fainting your blood pressure is not too low. Good luck!

t give me anything they just want to check me sooner and if my blood pressure is still low they will take me for a c section that day ! I told him I've been feeling really tired and weak lately, he said if it keeps on going or gets worse to call him ASAP !
