She prescribed me my prenatal vitamins and a morning sickness pill however i dont have a card or anything to get them with from the pharmacy. How am i going to be able to get them withouth paying the 300 dollars? Any advice is appreciated. Idk what to do. I guess if all else fails ill just try to go back to the dss and ask them even though ive done called and left a vmail..
This is available as a generic, and isn't very expensive. Of course it's cheaper with insurance, but even without it shouldn't be too expensive.
I assume you have a cholesterol issue. Why not ask your doctor for a prescription for a statin medicine? You can get the drug for $4.00 a month or less, and it's much less invasive than Niaspan, in my opinion. I tried Niaspan years ago, it wasn't effective, and I would get a huge 'blushing' feeling, my face would flush and I would be miserable. Statin drugs are very safe and in my opinion, very effective.
I have searched the literature and have not found any articles linking Niaspan with any form of cancer. Niaspan is just niacin, one of the B vitamins, and as far as I can tell, is not cancerous in the dose given in Niaspan. As for your other question whether a five year study can demonstrate a drug-cancer connection, it would depend partly on the study design. The strength of the association between cause (the drug) and effect (cancer) would depend on how the evidence is gathered.
When I had Tricare they did not provide breast pumps but that was 3 years ago.
I'm new here and want to find out what people think about the new research on Niaspan. I can't figure out how to filter my search results by date so that I just get recent results.
I tried them all. Used to take Niaspan and fenofibrate but they took me off cause both cause problems in some and had not 'reduced the incidence of cardiac events'. I think they have concluded that neither do Zetia, except when used with a statin, so it is the statin doing the work. I also think Welchol has been shown to not reduce cardiac events too. not sure. I am on Repatha. Third bi weekly shot. have about 1/3 of the severity of symptoms that I had on statins.
He knows I eat healthy but that I have eliminated temporarily (for last 6 months) exercise due to scare associated possible lung cancer diagnosis (mentally I just do not want to work out - yet). He has recommended Niaspan (500). I can find zero information on the web about reducing CRP with any prescription drug. Do other doctors look to reduce CRP levels w/Niaspan - a drug designed to improve CHOL and Triglyceride levels?
I took Nuvigil like Provigil. Go to the company website and they may have a card you can print and take to the pharmacy for a discount. That's what I did with Nuvigil until my insurance started covering it. I started out paying $300 at first. Good luck.
Lyrica is a VERY expensive prescription but it works well for nerve pain. When I was taking Lyrica my dr had given me a discount card. it allowed me to get the prescription for $25.00 instead of almost paying $300.00 a month.
I would ask your dr if they had samples that they get from the drug reps too. Looking at Pfizers website like suggested by the above poster is a great idea too! Good luck to you!
Well, it depends on what kind of medication you are on. I am taking Niaspan for cholestoral and these are the side effects of it. When your body have enough of these vitamins, it flushes out of body like this. It is advised by proffessionals to take an aspirin half an hour before taking Niaspan to avoid this flush. In my case, I simply stopped taking Niaspan and seek alternative from my doctor. It is always good to see doctor in such cases. I hope this is helpful to you.
