I was on other meds, Celebrex, Skelaxin and am off of all except Neurontin. I have tapered the Neurontin to 500mg/day. This question is related to side effects that may be due to Neurontin or maybe my migraines. When I was on a higher dose of Neurontin I was getting almost daily visual disturbances in both eyes that looked like what my migraine auras look like but those are in one eye and are followed by a headache.

The neurotin and gabapentin which should help cause me to stumble and get blurred vision. I have a hard time taking the xanax and soma as I fear addiction.... it s the only thing that lets me sleep at night. Any suggestions?

I have seen in the package insert of Neurontin that it can cause visual disturbances and rare retinal problems etc. I have also seen a New Zealand study recently that said some people get a visual disturbance from Celebrex. I am quitting both for that reason. Has anyone had visual problems from either drug? I get a wavy line that moves (like a migraine aura without the migraine) for about half an hour in both eyes and it goes away.

received massive blow to head 18 months ago have been on several meds to enable to sleep and for chronic migraines am currently taking neurontin memory has improved some since accident however now i can be driving to work or elsewhere and will forget where i am going for 15 or 20 miles at a time does anyone have any experience with this medicine im not sure if its helping or making things worse,

For over six months, I have had blurred vision in my left eye on a daily basis. I have a history of classic migraine with aura, and I have noticed that it appears to get really really worse with conventional migraine triggers - red wine, too much or too little caffeine, etc. Other symptoms also, including dizziness, "drunk" feeling, occasional confusion, some intermittent weakness, but the most prominent symptom is visual. It is rarely painful, though there is pressure at times.

ve been taking the neurontin at bedtime cause my eyes are closed (so no blurred or double vision), and it helps since alot of my nerve pain is at night esp. muscle twitches. I see my doc in a week and will ask him if I can just take it at night, otherwise I dont know what's next.

It did actually relieve a little of my joint pain, but I still had other numerous problems, blurred vision, migraines, IBS, pins and needles, and chronic fatigue. Then an LLMD diagnosed me via IGENIX and CD 57 test and I have Lymes. So I can't really say the medicine gave me those problems because LYMES does too. All I can say is that it may make you a little nauseous in the beginning and to get regular eye exams (mine were normal). Good luck!

You definitely need to talk to your doctor. Blurred vision is not a side effect I'm aware of, but that doesn't mean that isn't what it is. It could also be a symptom of anxiety. There are two common symptoms of anxiety called "depersonalization" and "derealization" that can cause the impression of having blurred vision. You can do some searching here about those symptoms, to see if maybe that is a possibility.

Other than my glasses prescription there isnt anything wrong with my eyes that cause my blurred and double vision and visual snow.... I have nystagmus ( eyes jiggle when I look far left and right lol) but other to that I have no proper answer. The ns I seen and docs think my vision all down to migrains but who hasnt heard that right?

the problem started last week as i had very bad headache and dizziness and then I started to loose the vision on my right eye I see like something covered with voile and i can't read any writing when i cover my left eye i only see a white shadowed pictures. I normally suffer of minor migraine.

t handle the therapy and work in same day. Then 29 days later (while working part time and going to vision therapy) the blurred vision came back and lasted a little less than 2 wks. Same thing happened to me. Could be a sign of gestational diabetes . My sugar was low that day so I got a migraine with blurred vision. I don't have diabetes but eating regularly and healthy seemed to have help.
