Common Questions and Answers about Neupogen ndc number

neupogen

Avatar m tn Stopping or reducing the peg is the only way (it's what's killing them in the first place). Neulasta or neupogen are commonly accepted to bring neutrophils up; he must have his reasons to refuse to use it but I don't know what they are. You are so far along that skipping a shot will probably not make a difference. Hopefully your neuts will be up high enough next week to let you finish those last 2 shots, for peace of mind if nothing else.
Avatar m tn I took my 7th injection last week and my doc told me the no of wbc, rbc and platlets are lowering and she start taking blood every week to monitor them.......if the number reach the critical lower limit, she told me, we will stop the injection at leat for one week and reduce no. of the daily tablet. Is it normal to experience such condition with in two months of tx......am i in risk to dicontinue the medication?.....has any one been in such condition?

Avatar f tn If your ANC is below 500, I would then ask for the helper drug Neupogen. Taking Neupogen is preferable to reducing your dose of interferon. Reducing your dose of interferon so early in treatment can harm your chances of being cured.
Avatar f tn Just got the call this morning that my doctor wants to put me on Neupogen for 4 weeks because my white blood cells are so low. I'm so disappointed, I really wanted to be done shooting into myself!! Anyone else out there on this drug? I don't know a thing about it.
Avatar f tn The Hematologist said he was going to start him on Neupogen is anyone else taking this and is it working for them. He also said that he may need a transfusion , which is freaking my husband out because that is how we suspect he contracted the Hep c orignally (back in the 80s). I told him that they screen the blood much differently now then they did back then , but he is still freaking out. Anyone who is taling Neupogen please let me know if it is helping.
302488 tn?1337551241 My ANC ranges from about .6 to 1.0 (this is the number of neutrophils out of the total WBC). I have taken neupogen 6 times in those 44 weeks. My doctor thinks I should do it every 4 days but that ain't gonna happen. The stuff is tough on the system. I think your WBC is fine.
1118724 tn?1357010591 //www.rxlist.com/neupogen-drug.htm "in cancer patients receiving NEUPOGEN® as an adjunct to myelosuppressive chemotherapy‚ it is recommended‚ to avoid the potential risks of excessive leukocytosis‚ that NEUPOGEN® therapy be discontinued if the ANC surpasses 10‚000/mm3 after the chemotherapy-induced ANC nadir has occurred. Doses of NEUPOGEN® that increase the ANC beyond 10‚000/mm3 may not result in any additional clinical benefit.
Avatar n tn Anyone get any help with bone pain and seems like a migraine after neupogen ? I am on my second shot and it's 4:30 am and I have been up all nite with a horriable headache and severe nausea. Will call docs today and ask for something.
Avatar m tn no but i did start with very low reds and i am just about ok , well not really but not on rescue drugs anyway
541844 tn?1244309824 Has anyone taken neupogen to increase neutrophil count before starting treatment? My numbers are low, but not that low, and Dr. suggested and tried to get pre-approval for neupogen (ins. wants more info). My ANC was 800 (10/07); 1350 (1/08); and 1790 (5/08). I can see his reasoning - build it up before tx knocks it down. Just wondering if anyone else had/has a similar beginning. If so, did it work?
Avatar f tn I've had 3 surgeries for breast cancer. Lymph nodes were 8 out of 12 positive but the last 3 were microscopic. Can Neupogen be used in place of Taxol? I've read that Neupogen attackes the cancer cells more with better results. Whn my cells were tested they found that the good cells were really attacking the bad ones. I'm just afraid that reg chemo will mess this all up and I won't have anymore good cells to help fight. What is the best thin to do?

1717054 tn?1316712653 At what level ( number) does your ANC have to be to warrant the rescue drug, neupogen? On my last visit my Dr made a comment that if it gets under 1000, it can sometimes warrant stopping treatment. At that time, it was 1076. I know that I have read on here that it can be lower than that and still be safe. Since she has listened to me thus far, I need my ammo for a good argument, if needed.
495402 tn?1220617403 My feet and ankles are really swollen, just began noticing this the last couple of days. I'm on so many different meds that it's going to be hard to narrow it down. I've just started taking Neupogen and Procrit, the Procrit I've only done one shot so far and the Neuprogen, I've just completed shot number 3 last night. I take the Neuprogen twice a week and Procrit once a week.
Avatar f tn My doctor seemed shocked, but pleased,....Well, I decided to go with my doctor...and as of this week my very low 600 ANC is now 1500. --------------- Not trying to sound facetious, but you might point out to your doctor that ANC can bounce around -- forget half a dose, even no dose. My ANC was 300 one week and two weeks later is was around 1200. No Neupogen. Is your doctor a hepatologist?
