You can get it OTC in Nasacort nasal spray. Just spray you know where a few times in the evening (when it itched the most fir me). Five days later and everything is gone. Like a miracle.

What kind of nasal spray? Is it a prescription like Nasacort or Flonase or the OTC stuff like Afrin? If it's Afrin that is not supposed to be used all the time, it's really bad. If your nose is bleeding, that could be an infection or maybe from the spray. I'm not sure about the blood pressure. I think you should try to wean off the Afrin. You are probably having what's called *rebound* congestion. Read the label on it. It tells you not to use for more than 3 days.

Thanks. I did have a cold and the Dr. gave me a sample nasal spray called Nasacort. I tried it for 11 days straight and didn't get any good results so I just quit using it. I'm going to try it again, maybe this time it will work. I would like to smell again. Thanks for your input.

m on the steroid nasal spray? The doctor wanted me to use the Nasacort steroid spray for 4-6 weeks. Also, should I be concerned about my exposure to her HPV while I was taking Prednisone? Lastly, any thoughts on the throat bumps?

Tried antihistamines and they work but screw up urination - having prostate cancer surgery soon so that may fix the antihistamine problem, but they also kind of sedate me, which I don't like, and make my private parts shrivel up. SINGULAIR 10mg once daily. Zyrtec 10mg in the morning. Nasacort AQ 1 puff in each nostril 2 times daily. Nebulizer every 8 hours until you get your strength back. Afterward take your medications and don't skip a dose. I believe you'll be amazed. Your Doctor should cooperate with you.

I was wondering if any of you on the site who have Hep C, who have ever had experience with using a prescription allergy medicine that is a nasal spray? I had taken Flonase in the past, never really cared for the backwash it has. But, I've been seeing an allergist because my allergies have really bothered me this year. He prescribed a medicine that is a nasal spray called Astelin.

I have a horrible cough and it produces a very thick white mucus lumps. He gave me a breathing treatment, A 3 in1 shot, nasacort spray, and Ala-Hist. He said that I now have Asthma. Is there anything else that could be done. None of this has had any affect on this crud. Is there something else to do. I think I have something wrong in the lungs or in the sinus. I was using an inhealer for awhile this past month, really trying to get my asthma under control. What I found works for me is getting a nasal steriod spray, like Rhinocort Aqua, Nasacort, etc., After I started using this at night it opened up my nasal areas ( which I did not realize were clogged), then I use the mouth inhealer in the mornings and that seems to work for me. Since I don't know your situation, please make sure that you don't stop using any medication and have a attack.

So, for 2-3 months I have been using the spray, 2-3 times a day, 1 spray per nostril. When I use it, my nose opens up completely and I can breath great. The effect lasts for about 6 hours and after that my nose gets congested again. After some research online, I think that what is happening is that the spray causes the blood vessels to shrink, opening up my nose passage, and after the effect is gone the blood vessels swell up. Other than that, I haven't had any other side effects.
