sounds like they were thinking more bacterial infection than herpes.
After shaving apply some hydrocortisone cream ( not ointment!!! ) combined with fusidic acid or some other antibiotic ( just once or twice if needed after shaving, hydrocortisone is not meant to be overused so take care ) . They sell them over the counter in Wallmart. Avoid tight clothing as it can aggravate the itching. You dont need to worry about having something.

He used the dermascope to diagnose it and 1-2 more equipments I guess.He prescribed me fusidic acid for the same and said that it would take care of it.He said just forget about it as it can happen anywhere on the body.since it occurred on my genitals I was worried. I thought all warts were due to HPV. When on the net I checked what is fusidic acid used for it came it is used for a bacterial infection and not viral.

i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). He initially described it as pearly penile papules or genital warts. So advised a topical anitbiotic(Fusidic Acid Cream - Fucidin by Ranbaxy) and VDRL(came out negative).
After 2 weeks of no relief, the doc suggested electrocautery. As per my research online, electrocautery is required for genital warts, and genital warts cause itching, but I dont feel any type of itching.
Want to have secondary opinion. Should I go for electrocautery, or do I have other alternatives also?

In the mean time apply some topical antibiotic cream if you have one or you can get one over the counter.
The surgeon prescribed me Augmentin 625mg twice a day for 5 days. And lidocaine+fucidin cream (fusidic acid) to apply on the rectum and the ulcer. I have been doing that but the ulcer doesn't seem to heal. Also, Augmentin has given me diarrhea in the past so I was not very satisfied with his prescription. About 5-6 days after the ulcer developed, I got a few itchy bumps on my tailbone area/just at the top end of the crack. They are flesh colored and very itchy.
