I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.
Well she had a surgery about 6 months ago and we received mupirocin ointment for it. I was curious to find out if the mupirocin ointment would have any affect on her sores? I know it's to fight infection and bacterial growth but I was hoping it would alleviate her pain and sooth her raw hot spot.

why did they give you the mupirocin cream? and where are you putting it? i do not know why you would be prescribed this; do you know?
the only comment i can make that i have experienced...do not take any antibiotics before ruling out a fungal infection. this will exasperate your symptoms and allow the fungus to grow wild.
i also suggest you get a magnifying app on your phone, with a good light and take close up pics of the flare up area.
You have told here to apply mupirocin (Bactroban®) twice daily for a week. I want to know that if application of mupirocin (Bactroban®) shows improvement but is not cured fully in one week, can I continue its application for longer period? If yes then for how long.

In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Mupirocin .Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. You can however use the antifungal+steroid cream that you have. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin.
I've been suffering with redness and sometimes burning and itchiness between my butt cheeks for well over a year. I've seen a couple of doctors about it. Hello everyone, I've had a redness on my cheek for over a month now. It was originally identified as staph and treated with Mupirocin and Clobetasol by my Dr. Unfortunately 2 weeks of use has done nothing. I haven't been able to see her again so I figured I'd post here. I have a feeling this could be fungal, but am not sure. As you can see in the pic, it is a red irritation and slightly raised. It has shown only minor response to both clobetasol and mupirocin.

You should not tear open the scars and just apply some mupirocin cream followed by creams containing vitamin E for the scarring. The white scar could be due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Then he prescribed Doxycyline Hylcate pills which are used for staph infections. It got rid of the the bumps for a few months like the Mupirocin, but they came back a week ago. My doctor has said the previous tests may have been false negatives since we may not have caught it early enough. I really don't if it is Herpes or a Staph infection. Can anyone assist?
Thank you for been paitent.Taking bath at a motel felt a needle stick to my bare foot which was hurting the toe for 3 days. Couldn't find the needle in the bath area immediately and the water was running.the motel owner tell me the room was not rented for 6 days. But I could safely assume 8 hours since the area was bad and he was renting based on hours. The incident happened at 10 AMin the morning when I checked in.
I'm sure that it an ingrown hair but to be safe you can go get a blood test and they can tell you if it is because it lie's in the blood stream. Also herpes is like a blister and is very sore for about a week and it itches like hell remember use safe sex you can never be to careful.
