2699259 tn?1344210945 I finally got an MRI of my brain (that was pure tourcher btw)! Now my appt is 3 weeks away, so here I am looking over the scans and wondering. If there was something 'wrong' I assume it would be obvious? I don't see any gray or white spots or areas or large dark masses. I did see one tiny white spec, but it doesn't show on all the scans and one vein thats very squiggly looking, other then that it seems normal to me (comparing pictures of a normal scan). Any thoughts on this?
Avatar f tn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_resonance_imaging The above link tells you pretty much everything you didn't want to know about MRIs. I had a brain MRI one time, I had to be sedated because I was afraid of it, they even have a little mirror in there so you can see out of it, sort of claustrophobic in the machine, and they had a microphone and radio in there so I could talk to the techs. When the machine started up, it was VERY loud, surprised me, kind of made a bumping racket.
Avatar f tn They made me have a brain MRI because suspecting pituitary tumor too bad it was with no contrast so it's not really clear anyway I think my problem is on the adrenal glands. But I'm not here for this .. I just saw my brain MRI picture and I'm baffled..do you notice anything strange? Post pictures here http://imgur.
Avatar f tn Can you please explain my MRI of the brain done with and without contrast please: On T2 weighted and FLAIR sequences, there are multiple subcentimeter round ovoid foci of high signal in the right frontal lobe periventricular white matter, in addition to several subcentimeter lesions in the periventricular and subcortical white matter in the left frontal lobe and the subcortical white matter in the posterior right frontal lobe.
Avatar n tn I am also experiencing fatigue, nausea, memory loss, loss of balance, stiff neck, stiff joints in the right hand, dizziness, dilated pupils and a constant faint-feeling. I had an MRI scan a few weeks ago, which showed up normal. However, I did not have any contrast injections or anything. I've had a blood test since then which has also shown up normal. I am starting to get impatient - I'm not sure whether I can deal with any more waiting around and false hope!

Avatar m tn Dear doctors, I am studying neurology and I have recently come across of an online pictures of a person’s brain scan. A few of my colleagues and I have been debating on these scan results but have conflicting opinions in determining what we think is wrong with this particular brain? From examination of these pictures, we would very much appreciate your opinion and comments on the diagnosis and probable health of this individual. Avatar f tn Headaches after a brain injury can also be due to concussion, and normally CT and MRI are normal. However, yes, MRI should be done to rule out brain injury as the cause. Stress due to concussion and brain injury can also be the cause. Also get your blood pressure checked. Take care!
1947337 tn?1331423890 A brain MRI w/wo contrast does not make it a CINE....a MRI takes still pictures...a CINE takes a real time movie to show the flow.....to see if it pulsates, u would wear a clip on ur finger to monitor ur BP..... U may want to ask, but not all NS's do the CINE.....
Avatar m tn I have a son that is 15 they said they was doing testing to see if the doctor needed to send him to be tested for a brain tumor by doing a mri or a brain scan to see it then a couple of days ago they call me from where he is and tell me they felt it by rubbing his head so of I cant see it without a brain scan orvmri how can u feel it by rubbing someones head
Avatar n tn I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.
Avatar f tn Hi, last year I had an MRI scan. I was having it as the Dr was looking to see if I had an AVM on the brain, I get a lot of headaches and have an AVM on my right forearm. When I went to see the Dr he told me my results, he said there is a malformation there but it isnt an AVM. He then pointed to the temporal lobes and said they are low. I should of asked him what that meant, but I never ask questions when Im there, I just say to myself I should of asked this and I should of asked that.
Avatar f tn Dx - L Vision loss, HA, Pituitary Abnormality, Dilated R pupil, Hypothyroid, Brain MRI = Orbit MRI = MRA Does him writing Pituitary Abnormality on this mean I showed signs of one ??
Avatar f tn I saw him and he said my MRI showed I did in fact have MS. When I told him my recent problems with my left side he pointed to my MRI scan pictures and said in one of the pictures where the lesion appears is why I am having this left sided weakness. I was so surprised I didnt take in what he was saying as I guess I didnt expect him to say I have MS after being told by the previous neuro I didnt have it. Well at least I know now what Im dealing with and due to start copaxone soon.
Avatar f tn My first brain scan showed a lot of small perventricular lesions and my two bigger ones were on the occipital lobe and frontal lobe so I don't think they could be causing these symptoms. I guess I am just wondering if I should expect anything to show or if my sx are just too transient that if there are any lesions on the c-spine that they won't be detectable. I do not know what strength the machine is but I doubt it is more than T1.5-T2. Thanks!
Avatar m tn A magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) is a type of magnetic resonance image (MRI) scan that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to provide pictures of blood vessels inside the body
Avatar f tn I had a cat scan and blood test that showed a lesion on my brain. My doctor the had me get an MRI brain scan which his nurse said came back normal. Then why do I still feel like my brain has been scrambled ,and I just don't feel good overall?
Avatar m tn Hi I had a MR scan of my brain a couple of weeks ago as I had vertigo’s episodes some times . According to my doctor the MR results shows some unspecified gliosis. He said this is not a major problem, as it can be associated to some sleeping disorders and nothing with the vertigo. Do you agree with this opinion or I should check with a neurologist?
Avatar f tn A CT scan and MRI are pretty much the tests that will find a tumor- if you've had 3 scans that have been normal I would think everything is okay.
Avatar f tn I tolerated the symptoms until the last year and the have gotten worse, again The MRI scans I have show no brain lesions. Again I get lets wait and see. I am getting to old and to tired of these answers, can someone please tell me what my next step should be?
