It usually does not itch, only itches sometimes after shower, once i put a moisturizer its fine. The red also fades away certain times... it comes back as it pleases.. its never gone.

I developed Toxic Shock after foot surgery and hardware placement. I had Osteomyelitis which resulted in the removal of significant bone in my foot during an emergency surgery. I'm still nerves about the Osteomyelitis spreading or coming back, yet my Doc tells me not to worry. Hey, it's not his foot!
As for the Nurse visits; WATCH everything they do. Wash hands when they come in.
My 6 years old skin from her thumb just started peeling in one big layer. It starterd out looking like a blister that covered the tip then it started peeling, now it is happening on her other hand on her thumb and pointer finger. She is taking antibiotics and just got out of the hospital for an infection in her throat. She had an iv and antibiotics through her iv. She doesn't suck on her fingers and hasn't had any bandages on the fingers that are peeling. Why is this happening?
Try not to pierce a blister with a needle, but allow it to break on its own once the skin underneath has healed. If the blister is in a place (such as a hand or foot) that makes it extra painful, follow these steps:
1. Wash your hands and the blister with soap and water, and sterilize the blister with rubbing alcohol.
2. Sterilize a pin with rubbing alcohol.
3. Make small pinpricks on the edge of the blister and drain the fluid through these.

It can be dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful.In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

The top part of my right middle finger gets dry easily, and when that happens, skin comes off. After it comes off, the skin grows back, but very soon after, it comes off again. This started a year ago and is still happening. I've used different kinds of lotion, but that doesn't seem to help. It is painful, so I'd sometimes put a bandage over it. Today, it got worse; there's actually a big crack, which caused it to bleed. Its temperature is also warmer than all my other fingers.
m mahesh, 30 yrs old, working in latex company,kerala, india, feeling pain in the back of ear in the vain, starting from bottom of ear and proceeds and end with the top corner of head lightning for 1-3 seconds and reduced after some times. But i feel pinching pain like pins made has been feels on the corner and and that vain portion got some swelling(not much) effect and pain. I feel the blood clotted in that area something like that. Now i feels the some irritations in head.
Almost all my finger tips especially on the right hand and the index finger are very dry, rough, and cracky. Then when when the are wet they get wrinkly. I have been applying petroleum jelly, covered with cotton liner and latex gloves for a few days but I don't see any big improvement. I have AmLactin moisturizing lotion, would that be better to use and how

When my granddaughter, age 11, gets in the swimming pool, in her backyard slip and slide or anywhere that her hands come into contact with cold water for a prolonged time, she gets white raised places that resemble blisters but they are not filled with fluid as blisters are. They seem to dimish as her hands dry and get warm but then will peel where the places have been. Do you know what would cause this or has anyone had similar incidents.
A few days ago, I noticed a dark patch of skin on my foot. It is dry and feels harder than the rest of the skin on my foot. It doesn't itch or hurt. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Would it be best to see a doctor or wait a few more days to see if it clears up? Any help would be appreciated.
Yes ther is a risk but only if you come into contact with the poo, I have had 10 children all healthy and have had cats all through each pregnancy, people need to be aware of the risks but there is no need to get rid or your pet because your pregnant, if in the garden you should wear gardening gloves and if you have to change the litter you should wear gloves as well or preferably get someone else to change the litter.
I am a housewife. I have developped a skin problem in my finger tips wherein the skin gets dry and cracks. I have visited many dermatologists. Use creamy aloe vera soap or milk and honey pump soap. Consider using moisturizing lotion on your hands and wearing cotton gloves around the house. Use work gloves when doing any manual labor. I am sure you want to be all tough, but you need to let that skin heal and come back healthy.
This can help soften the calluses and prevent the skin from drying out. Wearing cotton socks after moisturizing can also help protect the area and lock in moisture while sleeping.

In the last 5 days, I've gotten 4 hangnails. Why so many? Is there a reason? Also, how may I prevent them?
I get very small round peel spots on my fingertips for the last 3 weeks or so, I can pick the skin off then it's gone basically. Then on my fingertips and outer edges of my hands get real pink kinda hard ( like theres superbly on them) and wrinkly. What is this??
ve just recently started developing a couple of round patches of dry skin on my body. First one and now another. They do not repond to any kind of moisturizing, no matter what I use and they do not go away!
There are no raised edges nor does there seem to be any abnormal color change to the skin... just the dry patch that feels rough to the touch, kind of like sandpaper. The rest of my body seems absolutely fine so far.
It was a lab for credit (with a lecture), not a private research lab, so gloves were not even an option sadly. Any chemical splashes resulted in direct exposure. (which is why I found it strange that such a strongly concentrated HCl wouldn't burn or anything). This is the 5th day of having the stain and it still hasn't even faded a bit.
