mobic

493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
Avatar m tn t go away. First of all I got bursitis in both shoulders, then tendonitis in both elbows and wrists. I now have tendonitis in both hips and pain In both knees which I haven't had looked at yet. I have had blood tests for arthritis, Osteoarthritis and connective tissue disorders. All came back clear. These were all reviewed by a specialist who said there was nothing he could see that could be causing the problems. So now I have no idea what to do??
168348 tn?1379357075 Hi, I ask this question because both a member on the Arthritis Community, and myself have seen a corelation between taking NSAID for arthritis and depletion of Vit D ... is this just coincidence or is there a possible connection?
168348 tn?1379357075 I have an orthopedist 3mo followup appt for my severe tibial tendonitis/arthritis to the ankle. No surprises @ the appt I am sure . Basically cause I am on Mobic every day so he sees me ev 3mos or he won't give me renewals on the med. My latest bloodwork was fine.

6402846 tn?1391063748 I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. The pain on extending the arm can be due to tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendonitis, bursitis, fracture or nerve compression. First show this to your family doctor. You may also need to see an orthopedic specialist. Meanwhile, apply ice pack, rest arm on sling, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Foot pain can be due to faulty foot wear causing pressure on the toes. It can also be due to corn or calluses. Tendonitis is another possibility. Foot infection, gout, rheumatoid arthritis are the other possibilities. It can also be ligament injury. You may need a MRI of the foot and ankle. Meanwhile, rest your feet by keeping them elevated on a cushion or stool. Apply ice pack. Take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care!
168348 tn?1379357075 but will go to Prim Doc tomorrow if this belly pain is still there just to be certain since on the Mobic almost a year now for severe tendonitis in my tibial tendon and all kidney function tests are A-OK as screening on the med. Only other med I'm on is Synthroid for thyroid and all fine there, too. My ins. is thru husband's employer and cannot drop unless lifetime max is reached and is a major HMO.
Avatar f tn is there anything that can be done to get rid of this pain and weakness? I do take Mobic once a day and motrin if needed. I ice it and apply heat. PT is using ultrasound, ES. Feels good at the time, but once I manipulate my hand, voila ...
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.

Avatar f tn Does anyone else have difficulty with recent dx. of multiple sites of tendonitis. Going to PT for this, but not much is helping. Have had cortisone injection into shoulder to help along with 6 weeks of PT. Frustrated with lack of progress in overcoming symptomss.
Avatar f tn I was given the drug Levaquin at the hospital I was diagnosed with Tendonitis 3 months later. I saw an orthopedic surgeon, I had a MRI which show I had Tears in my Tendons and Tendonitis. I had surgery for my Tendonitis. Now After the surgery the pain is worser, I get tingling, sharp shoting pain from the shoulder to my elbow to the forearm. Afetr the surgery he said I did not have Tendonitis.
Avatar n tn When it gets inflamed due to overuse or injury it is called as tendonitis. There are different types of tendonitis like wrist tendonitis, knee tendonitis etc. According to the types of tendonitis, the treatment varies. But in general conservative measures including resting the area (avoid using during pain episodes) and ice application will help control inflammation and reduce swelling.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar n tn I have de quervain's tendonitis and have weak gripping and weak hands which is a problem when i hold my baby. is it possible to have back pains because of the tendency to use my body (while holding with my hands) to support the weight of my baby?
Avatar f tn what area of your feet? I have a severe tibial tendonitis/arthritis in the joint and won't have the surgery unless I cannot walk .. in my case, they said no guarantee it would even work and the recuperation is 4mos. Instead I wear high top sneakers 18hrs a day and orthotics and live on Mobic and with change in lifestyle, doing pretty ok with it.
